Beautiful place to stay, very accommodating and close to near by things. The chickens were lovely and their eggs very tasty! Beautiful little touches inside and out.
I didn't dislike anything!

This is a lovely cabin with modern facilities. It was very clean and tidy. The hosts provided clear communications from the start. It's also in a nice quiet rural setting. It really did exceed my expectations. The hosts have created a little gem of a retreat to stay at.
I could not fault a single thing!

Rose Hideaway was the perfect location to spend a short break with my dog. The accommodation was extremely comfortable with everything needed for our stay. The location was ideal with two pubs within easy walking distance and many options for long dog walks within a short drive.

I absolutely loved the place. Everything was just perfect for me and my dog. Peaceful, tranquil, super clean and tidy.
Welcoming pack was a very pleasant addition, especially eggs from the chickens we could see mulching in their space next to our cabin. Location is great, easy to get into the woods, maps and descriptions were kindly provided too. We will defiantly be coming again.

A fabulous hidden gem in the heart of beautiful countryside! Indeed a lovely cosy retreat with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. A warm welcome by the friendly host and then inside welcoming gifts of fresh eggs, bread and milk, also biscuits and chocolates. Such a cute place, stylish and well equipped, with a super shower, a dishwasher, a very comfortable bed, a barbeque out in the small enclosed dog friendly garden, it lacked nothing for giving you a lovely holiday in very pleasant surroundings! The walks were great for dogs with fields for play and exploration for them in the grounds.
The chickens nearby were seemingly very chilled out, not perturbed by the initial noisy 'hello' from the dogs, after which the dogs were just fascinated and watched them quietly. Altogether, it was a brilliant place, that we particularly used as a two night stopover to break our journey, but we would recommend it thoroughly to anyone who needs a relaxing break and we wished we had much longer and hopefully we will be back for a longer holiday to explore the incredibly beautiful Forest of Dean.

This was a lovely place to stay to get away from it all for a few days. Spotlessly clean, great facilities, comfy furniture and a lovely quiet location, just perfect. Communication was great with the hosts, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as eggs and other basics, information leaflets etc. Loved the chickens just out side! Will definitely recommend.
Really nothing to criticise.

I booked Rose Hideaway as I was competing in the area. I was on my own with my two collies. Fabulous cabin with everything you could want, the bread and eggs was a nice touch. Perfect for the dogs and an extra bonus was the use of the large paddock. Extremely clean and very homely.. Thank you for everything and I will definitely be back.

Absolutely lovely little chalet and was stocked with a few little bits such as a loaf of bread, milk etc.
Has all the things you'll need such as microwave, cooking facilities and dishwasher.
It keeps heat in well (we went when it was freezing outside/snow) and the garden at the front is perfect for dog to have a sniff around .
The welcome pack giving us recommendations for things was absolutely spot on.
Brilliant location to explore Lydney, Forest of Dean, Clearwell and some other parks/walks.
There was absolutely nothing I could write here that was bad, or that i didnt like. Everything was catered for and we had no issues whatsoever.
