I spent one month (August) studying at the University of Heidelberg. The apartment location is perfect. I have a mobility handicap so the steps up to the bedroom and access to the apartment were a challenge, but not insurmountable. A nice fan was provided for hot days. I have only one complaint; the kitchen accessories could use an update (forks, knives, utensils, etc), and a mini oven for reheating would have been welcomed. Other than that, the washing machine worked beautifully, as well as the hair dryer and iron. The shower and bathroom facilities were good and the bed and bedding were very comfortable. The apartment is located on a "gasse" (alley), so it is very quiet at night and for 30 days I was able to sleep very well. I highly recommend this apartment.

As this was my first trip to Europe I was very nervous. However, the rental was as advertised and I was very comfortable and close to old town. I really enjoyed my stay and the property owner/manager was very accessible. The only feedback I have was the lack of parking. This unexpected expense did increase the costs of my stay. However, the parking attendants were helpful and would sometimes reduce my parking fees. Overall, it was a great experience and I would stay here again if I stayed in Heidelberg.

Enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Clean, great location in the heart of the old town. Easy access, very handy having washer/dryer. It was ground floor suite on narrow street with 4 - 5 storey buildings, so not as bright and light as we would prefer.

This was a last minute find for us while in Heidelberg and it could not have been more perfect. The location made access to all the tourist points easy while being set off the main road enough to not be chaotic. We biked everywhere during our stay and had no difficulty. There is a full kitchen with everything you need to enjoy homemade food and the convenience of a washer/dryer in the flat.

I cannot sing the praises of this property enough! It is in a great location in the Altstadt, nestled among the small alleys and roads off of the Marktplatz, so you can retreat from the crowds. But you are really in the center of things, all the highlights of old Heidelberg within a 10 to 15 minute walk, but often closer. To get to the greater Heidelberg area, bus stops are right there, too. Unfortunately, there was an issue with my rental of the original space, so I did not see this apartment in particular. However, Martina was incredibly kind, communicative, and accommodating and upgraded my stay to another apartment in the house. I stayed in the space at the top of the house, which I could not be more stoked about. It had a little balcony in the courtyard with a perfectly framed view of the castle. At night, the castle would be all lit up and seem to be floating in space. Truly spectacular. Modern and updated, the kitchen had everything you could ever need to cook a meal in terms of pots, pans, and appliances. The bathroom was very clean and comfortable with an amazing shower (2 shower heads; what luxury!) The beds were comfortable and cozy. I was in heaven! After my first night here, I understood why this apartment was named Himmelreich. I can say with confidence that any of Martina's rentals in this house would give the same feeling. Martina herself is sweet and friendly. She offered to greet me personally and the English information that was left in the house was thorough and helpful. She was available when I needed to call her and she set me up perfectly. One Note: This rental space is not very accessible if you can't do a lot of stairs. My original rental (this one) is only like 4 or 5 steps, but the ones above are up a wooden spiral staircase that is kind of narrow and long. It gave even more character to the rental, but some may find it a challenge.

This our second stay at this lovely little flat. It is situated in the best possible area within the Alt Stadt of Heidelberg. Just far enough down the block to be away from all the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to gain easy access to everything in town. The apartment is modern, clean, bright and comfortable. And the owners are wonderful folks! We are always very happy to return. Thank you, again, for a great stay.

This apartment was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was large enough for our luggage and has a closet, but the steps up to the bedroom loft area are steep. The main room is comfortable for two and the kitchen is adequate for preparing a few meals and storing some items. The bathroom is very nice and large and the washer/dryer is a great amenity, especially since you maybe doing a lot of walking and hiking in the old town area. Wifi is good. Great location. Some construction was going on just outside the apartment door in the foyer area so this was a bit of a mess and distraction, but shouldn't be going on for future guests.

My mother and I had a wonderful visit to Heidelberg, and this lovely renovated apartment right in the heart of the Alt Stadt made it convenient to walk anywhere or take buses, trains, etc., to points outside the city. The entire building was undergoing renovations at the time of our visit making it a bit noisy and dusty at times, but overall it was quite manageable and the owners attentive, helpful, and friendly. The building is historic so it is understandable that renovations are necessary. Mind the steps up to the bedroom, they can be a bit tricky up and down at night :-) Overall, we loved it and will return for our next visit, to be sure!

We were visiting Heidelberg for a week, having lived there working with the US Army 25 years before. The location is ideal and has all cooking needs. The coffee machine uses capsules and makes delicious coffee. The living room is comfortable and bathroom very nice. It has all been upgraded recently. Washer/dryer very handy. We had a little problem calling to arrange the keys as we didn't have a phone and the numbers didn't work from a friends, but that was the only problem. We really enjoyed our stay. Since you have to climb a few steps up a sort of ladder to the bedroom, it would not be good if you have infirmaties but that is the only caution as the area is safe.

Really nice flat everything is nice clean and newly renovated, super nice bathroom/shower, small but nice kitchen, perfect for cooking breakfast. The building it self is quite old and was undergoing renovation at the time of my stay. But the best of all is the placement of the flat, it is 2 min walk from the old church in the middle of the old city center of Heidelberg. Parking is 4 min away in a public parking garage. Check in and check out vent really smooth, we met with the caretaker upon check-in and he handed us the keys explained about the apartment and check-out. So all in all a really nice stay in one of my favorite places in Germany so would defiantly consider this the next time im going to Heidelberg.

We had a really wonderful time here. The apartment was great - with an *amazing* location! We stayed here about a month and Herr Buehler took care of our every need and was so kind and helpful. The apartment is very modern and comfortable and it was very convenient to have a laundry machine there. We highly recommend this place!
