River House, centrally located and on the banks of the River Dee. Stunning views. 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living room & lovely, big, sociable kitchen with large cooking stove, French doors to your own courtyard garden. Up to 4 parking spaces on driveway.

A lovely property in a brilliant location. Tourist boat ride and bus are a 2 minute walk. Lots of good restaurants and shops also in easy walking distance.
Property is beautifully maintained and lots of nice little touches. Fans in every bedroom much appreciated as it was very hot and humid. Really nice stay..

River House is situated on the River Dee just at the foot of Queens Bridge. The location is excellent for a family with lots of activity, nearby restaurants and Grosvenor Park. Kitchen and bathrooms are updated.

What an absolutely lovely accommodation! Well outfitted for meal prep if needed. We ate out mostly, except breakfast, but first night ordered catered Italian per Melanie's suggestion - fantastic!! communication was excellent. Good parking, comfortable beds, and quiet on our December stay. Beautiful walks everywhere......we highly recommend!

Very easy booking process. Melanie was very helpful, giving us directions and recommending places to eat. Apartment was lovely. Perfect for relaxing. Beds super comfy. Location very quiet with a lovely view of the river and easy walking distance to the town.

The location of this property is everything you need for a stay in Chester. The centre is within walking distance and some lovely walking paths can be found nearby. Everything else is a short drive away, including the zoo, which was perfect for children and adults alike. The house itself is lovely and spacious. The highlight for me was the kitchen which had plenty of room
And led onto the garden which had a sense of tranquility about it.

I want to thank Melanie the owner of this magical house on the river It was the most perfect location to celebrate my 60th birthday with my family every room was so comfortable and beautiful and the garden so peaceful .So close to restaurants parks and shopping I was sad to leave .

Excellent location, right by the water but close to cafes, restaurants and shops. Beautiful cottage, excellent facilities, great communication from Melanie regarding the booking. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.

This property is exactly as described: spacious, clean, and quiet. The decor is modern, the kitchen well-equipped, and the river view is stunning. Beds and linens are excellent quality.
The location is ideal, with quick and easy access to everything Chester has to offer.
Check-in is seamless.
The hosts are excellent, providing detailed instructions, attention to detail, and extras.

Charmingly located on a quiet road by the River Dee and overlooked by Grosvenor Park at the rear, our enjoyment of a peaceful stay was not marred by the proximity of an Ice Cream café and popular walkways.
The accommodation and facilities were clean and above average but could be improved by rectification of some of the issues we encountered:
The shower room toilet seat was loose on our arrival and worsened during the 9 day stay;
The bath plug was very difficult to release;
There was no shelf in the shower on which to place shower wash/shampoo/conditioner and unlike all other similar properties in which we have stayed there were no toiletries provided;
The lounge corner seating unit was not at all comfortable however the beds were very comfortable;
Not all TVs were functional;
The instructions for rubbish disposal were unclear and resulted in our rubbish not being removed by the Council;
The stairs were narrow and steep (not that this could be addressed but it might be worth advising older less mobile patrons of this fact).

Property was in top notch condition and the little extras such as milk, bread and flowers were appreciated.

What a wonderful find, River House, this property is furnished to a high standard and within walking distance to the city centre. It overlooks the River Dee and the hosts Melanie and Craig were helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to return next year.

We had a girly family Christmas shopping trip to Chester mid Novemeber and stayed at this amazing house. We had stayed before about 6 years ago and it was just as we had remembered. Everything you could need for a weekend away, with lots of little touches.

My sisters and I stayed at River House for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time there. It was in a great location on a quiet street overlooking the river, yet only a few minutes walk into Chester.

My friends and I stayed for 4 nights. It was our second visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So convenient for everything.
We enjoyed the garden area and patio in the wonderful sunshine.

What a great stay we had with our boys and their grandparents at The River House. We needed to get away for a few days’ relaxation and it was just perfect for us and our twins. Right on the river, our boys loved the ducks, the boats, the ice creams, the garden, the park. We loved the shops, bars and restaurants, just minutes from the oasis of the River House.
The moment we walked in it was our home. Melanie had left everything we needed to start our stay. There is everything you can think of at the house. I have to say that it’s immaculately clean and the beds and towels are all so fresh. It’s so comfortable and homely we didn’t want to leave. We had such a good time, we’ll be back.
