Location by a river, a beautiful spot. Quiet and quaint. We liked the old style with modern conveniences.
The bed's plastic mattress cover was noisy and made sleeping a bit difficult. We were also shown a much lower price online, but it more than doubled when we booked. Not sure why.

The location is beautiful, we enjoyed driving up and down the road for dinner every night and seeing the foliage as it's turning autumn. Austin and Hannah were very prompt whenever I had an issue with the room. Which was amazing because it made us feel heard. I have a few irks in the "what i didn't like" that aren't really bad but they're for the informed traveler.
We had a bit of a problem with the code when we first got there, which you can imagine is quite terrifying when you have traveled to a new area and there isn't a standing reception. But we got a message within 15 minutes and got the right code. There also were issues with the wi-fi which i wouldn't blame on the establishment, but on being in the middle of nowhere and just not having great service. They sent someone to fix it that night and although it wasn't done then it was when we got home the next day which was greatly appreciated! The bathroom was one where the sink is outside of the bathroom, so if you're traveling with someone you're not intimate with this can get a little weird if you like to use the sink area after a shower. The light also started getting a little flashy and going out for long periods of time in the bathroom so just be weary in case it's an old building electrical issue. The air conditioning and heater are 2 separate controls, but they both worked well after a few minutes so no complaints there, more just informative that they are old and a little terrifying if not used to it.

Friendly onsite manager, ease of checking in/out, comfortable mattress, full size shampoo/conditioner/body soap in the bathroom shower, availability of wifi, beautiful view from room, ability to bring our small dog along, very dark room which helps if you want to sleep in.
Very minor adjustments will improve this fabulous place even more. 1. To turn on the shower, one has to pull down a part found UNDER the tub faucet. Never seen that before. A small instruction sheet would have been helpful. 2. Paper towels and some limited cutlery in the coffee station. Even though though this doesn't have a kitchenette, we did eat in the room. Paper towels along with some spray cleaner would be a nice touch to help us help you keep the room clean. 3. I have asthma and allergies - had to disable the Glade plugin to help my breathing. Maybe unplug during visits and use only while the room is not booked? 4. The waterproof mattress barrier limits the breathability and quietness of the bedding. Not certain what the fix is to maintain protection while reducing the noise and sweat factor. 5. The room is very dark - while great for sleeping late, not so good when trying to clean face/put on makeup or guy's who need to shave. Maybe add a brighter head high light on a wall near a mirror? 6. Wifi worked great, but our Verizon cell service was limited. Other visitors will need to be aware of this and make sure their roaming is updated.
