About this villa rental
The Villa is located within a valley in a natural reserve and in an elevated position, so it has wonderful views of the countryside around it. From the terrace at night you can enjoy wonderful views of the night sky - the Milky Way is easily visible because there is no light pollution. The villa is secluded but not isolated and there are no immediate neighbours on either side. It is in a peaceful location ideal to have a relaxing holiday. There is also a fantastic BBQ for you to enjoy cooking and eating all fresco on the very large terrace.
The ability to welcome all our guests and provide as high service and facilities as we can, combined with a wonderful climate, great food and wine traditions are some of the factors why the Algarve has been voted " The Best Beach Destination in the World 2024" at the World Travel Awards as well as the "Best Golf Destination in the World", the Oscars equivalent in the field of tourism, achieving this distinction for the third time, alongside the titles of "Best Beach Destination in Europe" on several occasions. The Algarve was chosen as the favourite region from a long list of nominees that included several globally iconic destinations such as the Maldives, Cancun (Mexico), Seychelles, Philippines and Zanzibar, among others. That award recognised the beauty and uniqueness of the Algarve coast, with 200 kilometres of beaches that have increasingly enchanted visitors from all over the world, combining scenes as diverse as extensive golden sands, hidden coves, impressive cliffs and Islands with pristine sandy beaches. Portugal combines history, tradition, sun, nature and gastronomy with a cosmopolitan twist that makes it attractive to everyone.
This large villa is divided over three floors. As you enter the property at ground floor level you find the spacious lounge with a fireplace including a large flat-screen TV (55") offering national and some international channels. There is a separate dining area with a large table which seats 12 people. This dining area has access to the terrace and is adjacent to the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped and of very high spec. At the lowest level is the games-room, a ping-pong table and a football table. Also here is a large flat-screen TV, so ideal for kids to spend their time, (can connect play-station etc). There is a second large lounge at this level with comfortable sofas, a lovely slate based pool table and TV offering different channels including some film and sky sports.
Outside at the ground floor level and at the rear of the villa you have a very spacious terrace with outside tables and chairs to dine al fresco. There are stairs (gated, so that it can be closed off so kids can’t get to the pool area), leading to the large pool with roman-steps with around 12m x 5m, the tennis court and BBQ. There is also a separate Jacuzzi and a shower adjacent to the pool. The Saltwater pool can be heated on request for an additional weekly charge. There is a tennis court for sole use of our guests that although not having the exact full dimensions of a professional court most of our guests get great pleasure from using it (overall dimensions of court 27mX 10m). it is not lit up for night playing. There are palm trees around the villa connecting to the surrounding beautiful natural reserve country side
Some of the key features that most of our guests much appreciate is the modern style and high finishings of the property, the lovely saltwater pool and tennis court as highlighted in our guest reviews. The other key feature also much appreciated is the location of the villa, that although in a rural area it is also near the sea and all other facilities and recreational activities. The villa is located within a valley in a natural reserve and is on an elevated position, offering wonderful views of the countryside all around but also of the sea at a distance. The villa is secluded but not isolated with no immediate neighbours either side in a peaceful location, ideal for those looking for a relaxing holiday.
The nearest town is Moncarapacho only 5 minutes away by car with shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, petrol station, internet café, pharmacy, doctors, dentist, banks, churches and museums. The nearest beach is Fuseta only 10 to15 minutes-drive from the villa but there are also many other Ria Formosa beach Islands such as Tavira, Armona, Culatra in the area. Add to that the fact that it only takes around 25 minutes from the airport. So, our guests get the best of both worlds in terms of a peaceful location combined with very easy access and short distance to beaches and other facilities. Why not try some of the Eastern Algarve golf courses many within 10-25 mins of the Villa. Championship courses like Cima, Castro Marim, Benamor, Ria and also a 9 hole par 3 just outside Moncarapacho at Colina Verde. There are an additional 5 more courses 20/25 mins away in Ayamonte on the Spanish border.
The Villa is also within easy distance of Tavira – regarded as the loveliest town in the Algarve with the 4th best beach in Europe.
Also only 10 mins drive to Olhao with shopping, and one of the best fish market in the country, with some of the finest fish restaurants in the area. Pronounced ‘ol-ee-ow’, Olhao is a busy modern town with a gem of a waterfront. Its fishing port is the most important in the eastern Algarve and its fish market is the biggest. It also has many shops, restaurants and an entire summer festival.
The Algarve enjoys one of the most stable climates in the world with its moderate and kind weather influenced by both the Atlantic and Mediterranean seas and its proximity to north Africa. Temperatures in the summer months from June to August can reach as high as 30°C. However, winds tend to keep the temperatures down a little with coastal breezes. During the spring and autumn months of March, April, May, September and October the temperatures in the Algarve average a pleasant 17°C to 19°C and this is accompanied with plenty of sunshine, although higher temperatures of around 25°C can occur frequently. Temperatures in the winter months from November to February remain moderate and mild with bright sunny days with an average of 15 degrees.

Ideal for a family or group of friends, spacious villa close to local village with amenities.
heated pool was fab and used every day, good location for exploring the algarve and wider area.
we would stay here again, fabulous!!

We had a great stay at the villa. Away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas of the Algarve but close enough to everything you will need, although I would definitely recommend a hire car.
Lots of local restaurants in the surrounding villages, and easy access to the main roads to get around the rest of the Algarve and beyond.
The villa had everything needed for a great family holiday. Great pool for the kids, and grandparents, to play in. Kitchen very well equipped. Pool table, table tennis and tennis court kept everyone entertained.
For three generations of our family this villa worked well and was exactly what we needed.
I wouldn't hesitate to book again if in the area.

Property as described. Unfortunately the basement pump and electricity didn’t work, so two guests had to share other bathrooms and had sporadic air con for the week.
Property manager was quick to try and fix problem, and kindly offered compensation.
This did not mar the super time we had, the Villa was perfect for our party.

The house was super with a lot of space for 10 people. The pool was great and we were glad we paid extra to have it heated. Sarah who greeted us was terrific.

The Villa its self is located in a quiet area, it was easy to find from Faro airport.
The local supermarket 5 mins away, inside the villa was clean and tidy.
Good points are there was hand soap in each bathroom, there was condiments in the cupboards which made a huge difference to self catering. The knifes actually sharp to use. We also had some washing liquid, dishwasher tablets and matches left from previous guests which again really helped. the villa manager Sarah was very friendly and helpful.
The basement beds really comfortable but the king sized not so much.
Some of the bathroom/shower towels really small, and the pool towels small too. But a few were large.
We found the ice machine in the fridge freezer didn’t work but ice cube trays had been provided. The water filter feature a bonus. The washing machine only worked on the last day of our stay unfortunately due to a sock in the filter from a previous guest, the manager did do their best to keep us updated on repairs.
If you have anyone with mobility concerns this is not the right villa as access to the pool is via one of two stairways.
Faro airport is small and understaffed at a peak travel period, June half term and we queued for ages on arrival and departure to get through passport control. Advise arrive much earlier than the two hours it suggests. We arrive 2.5 hours early and only just made the flight home.

Ideal property in wonderful location.

The villa was modern, spacious and had everything you need for a great holiday. It was excellent value and Valter was so helpful with all my questions beforehand. We liked the fact that it was rural, so quiet and peaceful but at the same time a short car ride from the airport and and easy to visit Olhao, Fuzeta beach and Tavira.
We had a wonderful time and hope to return next year. Can't recommend it highly enough. Many thanks.

Great villa to enjoy a wonderful week in Portugal. Facilities great.

We absolutely loved staying at the villa! It was perfect for our family and the family we were staying with. It’s in such a great location to explore the area. Can’t wait to come back!

This was a family holiday - six adults and two children (aged 3 &5). The villa is very well located - in a quiet spot with few neighbours but only a few minutes from the nearest town and supermarket and easily accessible to Olhao, Tavira. The airport is 25 minutes drive.Five of the bedrooms are very good, although the sixth is smaller and only has an internal window.
The pool is excellent and access is easily restricted for children so safety is very good indeed.
The terrace is a great place for meals and evening relaxation. Communication with the owner and local manager was faultless. All in all, a very good villa for a family holiday.

Good size villa peaceful location. Car needed.could do with a freshen up. New bed linen and towels needed also items like sharp knives new kitchen bin, corksrew.
The tennis court is shorter in length than a normal court- this is mentioned in the villa description but it is only as wide as a singles court so play is resticted,. fencing needs fixing lots of lost balls through the holes. we enjoyed our stay but the it needs a bit of upgrading

We loved this villa. We were 3 families so had 2 bedrooms each on each of the 3 floors.
We spent most of our days around the pool which was heated to the perfect temperature for our baby and toddlers. Don’t think we will ever book an unheated pool again.
Parts of the pool were in the shade at various times during the day so we didn’t have to worry about little ones getting burned in the sun.
The bbq area was excellent and we cooked there most evenings.
Great welcome from Sara.
Would definitely consider a return visit

We had an amazing time at this villa. It is excellently equipped and very comfortable. It is a bit out of the way so a car is recommended if you’re looking for activities beaches or nightlife. Mainly we spent family time around the pool and this place was perfect for us.

Clean and modern.

Amazing house that included every type of entertainment and comfort for relaxation and fun. Big house with lots of rooms and bathrooms. Huge backyard with a tennis court. We were 3 families of 4 and fit perfectly. Everything was outstanding. The host is reachable and solves any problems/questions you could have as soon as possible.

The villa has all the necessary things you would expect. Very clean and a lot of space. The views on the terrace above are great. The location is very quiet. Not a lot of things to do nereby so a car is highly recommended. The swimming pool was heated. An option we did not regret choosing. Overall a very pleasant stay in this nice spacious villa.

We had a lovely time at the villa. Truly an unforgettable experience.

Fabulous Villa with great facilities for all age groups. Perfect location with good restaurants in the local village only 5 minutes car drive. Also beautiful beaches and fish markets in Olhao only 15 to 20 mins drive away. It’s set in a national nature park and was full of wild flowers. Strongly recommend good management and very friendly owner.

We booked this villa recently for a stay with 11 friends. We had a fantastic time, really loved the villa, specifically the pool area.
The location was quiet and peaceful, quite remote and away from the hustle and bustle.
Rooms - lovely and spacious rooms, some of the beds were a little noisy, and one double specifically in need of updating but overall great accommodation with 4 of the rooms being ensuite and having their own balconies too. The villa did echo a bit so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper, but otherwise we were very happy!
Living areas - plenty of space indoors should the weather change. We played pool and relaxed on the terrace most nights with the sun setting in view. Magical!
The ping-pong table was broken but we loved the tennis anyways.
The Kitchen was ample and there's everything you need already provided, but more oven space for the amount of us would have been great.
We tried the bbq as well, that was an added bonus!
Pool - we paid €200 to heat the pool which we were very glad we did. We spent all day in the pool and sunbathing on the plentiful loungers. The area got the sun all day too!
The pool is salt water but only slightly. To keep it clean, we were told to wash off our sun cream whilst bathing, so watch out for your little ones! It's also about 7ft deep, which was great!
Location - as mentioned, its lovely and private, no overlooked much at all. I would recommend having a car but we managed with taxis on Uber pretty easily. We spent some time in Faro and Olhao, lovely places to eat and drink there, which we got back and forth too okay.
There's a few shops and places in Moncarapacho which is close enough for a supermarket.
We did a boat trip in Olhao one day and went Paddleboarding in Faro another.
Some of us hiked up the nearby peak too, and others went to see the flamingos in the nearby water reserve. So there's plenty to do!
We'd definitely book again!

Very good week

We had a fantastic week in this property for my wife's 60th birthday. It was ideal for us as a family of 12 in total. We paid to have the pool heated, and it was well worth it as the temperature meant we could use it for as long as we wanted, in fact it was hard to get the children out. The concrete tennis court was also useful for the adults and children to enjoy some exercise and time together. When we were not by the pool, we spent most of our time sat around the outdoor dining area on the balcony as we had a week of fantastic weather. The safety features on this level were very good with no need to worry about the younger children. The kitchen has everything we needed to cater for ourselves, as we did for 4 of the nights. The only suggestion I would make to the owner is that they should offer the option of paying for a basic food package to be at the villa on arrival, as we arrived on a late flight and everything was shut. We had some hungry and thirsty children on the first night, and i would think this is fairly common due to the uk flight times. Other than that, thank you for a fantastic holiday villa.

Lovely holiday for family of three generations. We waited through Covid for this holiday and had a lovely break.
The villa was everything we hoped for.
A few very minor faults that we reported and were fixed quickly and efficiently.
Would definitely recommend this villa to others.

Lovely trip to Portugal. The villa itself is clean, tidy and well equipped for a family holiday with a lovely pool and tennis court. It's location suits both holiday styles, remote for some piece and quiet and no more than a 30 minute drive for some good restaurants and night life.......just a shame it has to end !

Lovely large villa for a family holiday. Everything we could need was there. Lots of great child safety additions which meant we could all enjoy ourselves. Mod con fitted kitchen with well
Stocked utensils and equipment. Great pool although we would have liked a bit more shade around the pool area as we have small children. Very clean on arrival. Air con throughout and the veranda in the evening is wonderful to watch the sun set!

We just got back from a lovely week staying at the villa. It was perfect for a big group (6 adults, 3 children under 5 and 2 babies). Lots of space for us all, we didn’t even use one of the bedrooms! All bedrooms have air con which was necessary. We also got the pool heated which was ideal for the younger children, they stayed in there most of the day! The games rooms and bbq got loads of use, and the big table on the terrace was great for dinner and drinks after the kids went to bed.
We rented cars and found them useful to nip to the intermarche in Moncapacho or to explore beaches nearby. Our last evening in Tavira was a highlight. There is nothing walkable.
Sara and Ian were on hand for any minor issues and the owner Valter answered lots of my questions before booking. Would recommend for groups of friends or families. Hope to come back some time :)

The villa had plenty of room for our large extended family group which included toddlers. All of the rooms, including bathrooms, were large and there was a great feeling of space throughout. We especially appreciated the safety stairgates on both internal staircases. The leisure facilities were great, pool table, ping-pong table etc. We had the swimming pool heated - great for the younger ones - and we spent a lot of time there. The large terrace was also a focal point - we had all our meals there. For the golfers in our group, Quinta da Ria, was an easy 20/25 minute drive on the A22. We found the A22 to be the easiest way to get anywhere. Tavira was the nicest town in the area and well worth a visit. Lovely restaurants on the quayside. While it was possible to get taxis, we found having hire-cars - especially with small children - was the way to travel. All in all, we had a lovely holiday in the villa.

We had a great time at this villa, perfect for 8 adults + kids, all facilities were great, and the property manager was excellent

A nice enough villa with good facilities (games room , heated pool) but needs a little TLC. Pool was dirty on arrival (we had to empty the filters which were filled with bugs/debris and skim a lot off the surface. Were also asked to put the hose into pool every evening to top back up as it was losing water. Several lightbulbs needed replacing around the villa. This was dealt with very quickly when we flagged it to the management team but odd these things aren’t checked beforehand. Was advised on arrival the TV in downstairs games room wasn’t working so no separate TV space for kids . The balcony doors in top floor master bedroom didn’t lock - but as 2nd floor and the outer shutters did lock not insecure. Bed frame in top floor master bedroom very creaky to the point that it woke myself and husband up every time one of us turned over in the night . Sun awning over the terrace area shredded and tatty. Tennis court fencing is low, has holes and has curled up away from the base resulting in a lot of balls being lost. The court is surrounded by thick scrubland so difficult to retrieve. Luckily there was a Decathlon close by to buy several replacement tubes of balls as well as some new table tennis bats as the ones provided were damaged/unusable . The boiler didn’t seem able to provide enough hot water for more than one or two hot showers at a time so a fair few cold showers were had. The bathrooms and bedrooms themselves were all very nicely done though. Sara the property manager was lovely and very helpful on arrival. Cristian handyman also came to help very quickly when we mentioned the lightbulbs and had a problem accessing the safe. Sara recommended a fantastic car hire company who were brilliant and we will definitely use again - AutoSeasons. Much better, honest and more efficient than the big well known hire companies . So overall a nice stay. Perhaps villa just not been used / we were first guests since lockdown? .

Lots of space with pool and tennis court. Overall good quality for the money you pay. The only negative is that four of the Air Conditioning work for a while and then they go down (you have to go to the main electrical board switch off number 3 and restart all over again, I believe this can be fixed with no much effort.
Good location near of everything .

Where do we start. The owner was very helpful with information and quick to respond to any questions. The villa was fantastic, even the picture don't do it justice, and the picture are great. Villa is very big, we want in a group of 8 and found no problems with space. All the bedrooms are very big, and big sitting room. was great having breakfast outside in the sun and lunch and dinner. The pool was fantastic, you can stand in half of the pool, and the other end is abit deeper which was great. The jacuzzi was nice and relaxing. We was on the top floor and the view was amazing to wake up to. And as a group We could not find any faults with our stay or villa, but would love to see some kind of bar in the villa. We have already booked this again for next year, and am more then sure we'll do the seem in years to come. Great job guys.
Thanks
Gerald

There was 8 of us and not one of us could fault the Villa. We arrived quite late due to a problem at the car rental place. However the person who had greeted us was very nice and understood. We also did have a bit of trouble following the directions but that was just a minor issue. After we got to the house we as able to properly set up the Sat-Nav and we no longer had a problem getting around.
We spent most of our time at the villa in the pool or jacuzzi. We took the advice to hire cars for the weekend and we are very glad we did as it is very secluded and the nearest supermarket we found was a 5/10 min drive away from us. I would say the Internet connection could be better as you can only really get signal in the living room or that ground level anyone on the 1st or lower level cannot access it.
The property was clean and there was more then enough room for all of us. We found however there was not a lot of room on the sofa for all of us all the time and would feel that a bar and pool table would be a welcome addition to the place but we would go back year after year without it to.
The pool was warm no matter what time you used it and the lights stay on by the pool till about 2am. One downside to the pool is that bugs, dust, dirt and leafs do go into the pool when your using it, but we did try to keep it as clean as we could using the skimmer. We did have to call the pool cleaner out once and when we did come back it was spotless and we was able to drive right in again.
I would gladly tell anyone to go to the property but do make sure you hire a car.
There are so many places that we ate however one I must recommend is Restaurante Prazeres which is in Olhao, they do amazing surf and turf. However no matter where you go the food is amazing and the portions are a lot better then what you would get in England.

12 of us (8 adults & 4 children) have just come back from a fab week at this villa. The house is gorgeous, we all spent many hours in the pool and jacuzzi and the men enjoyed daily use of the tennis courts!
House was spotless and had plenty of space for all of us.
MARS agents were great when we were delayed and left us a welcome pack of bread, milk, butter, wine and beer. They also came out to fix a pool light one day.
The area of the house is perfect, we visited nearby Olhao, Tavira twice and Fuzeta and had really nice meals there. We ate in Moncarapacho (5 mins from the house) twice, both times in Antonio's restaurant. His food is delicious, inexpensive and they welcomed our toddlers and made food for them that wasn't on the menu.
Valter the villa owner was really easy to communicate with and overall we had a great time and may well go back again in future!

We (2 couples) spent a lovely week at this beautiful villa. The amenities at the villa were excellent, it was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. The pool and Jacuzzi were amazing - with the pool heating we requested, the temperature was just right and many hours were spent in both. We ate out most nights either in Moncarapacho or Fuseta, great food and very reasonably priced. Upon our return to the villa in the evenings we would sit on the balcony outside the dining room enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the area. The lunchtime barbecue restaurants in Fuseta near the Fish Market were fantastic value for money and really good quality food and service. The week we were here the town of Tavira had a festival which was great, lots of bunting in the streets, singing and dancing and fireworks in the evening. The whole region of Eastern Algarve is a gem of a place and we hope it keeps its traditional feel. The villa owner was very professional, we received plenty of advice before we arrived and the directions were spot on, also the property management company (MARS) were very good too and responded very quickly to an issue we had with the air conditioning units in a couple of the rooms. We would certainly recommend this villa to anyone, it would suit families and couples of all ages.

Just spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Valter's villa, There were 9 of us, 6 adults and 3 children so there was plenty of space and bathrooms,
The villa is very well appointed with everything you need for a great vacation, kitchen well equipped and the veranda was the main dining area, with lovely views.
MARS personnel (Simon and Chris)were very helpful and very quick to respond to any issues and queries.
The pool was heated for us and was great, the children loved it, The tennis court was also well used by the competitive adults as was the table tennis.
The air conditioning was welcome on the hotter days
The whole area is also very nice, we used Fuseta beach the most as it was the closest and also had a lagoon beach was really safe for the small children, Tavira , Faro, old town, Olhao, and all the beaches along the coast are all well worth a visit. It is also worth visiting Cacela Vehla very pretty and good restaurants,.
The only negative comment we would make is that the Gym equipment is not very good, so if you were keen to keep fit you may be disappointed, (but who needs a gym on holiday!)
We would certainly revisit the Villa and Eastern Algarve again

We spent a quiet and peaceful week at this lovely villa, it was big enough to accommodate 7 adults and 4 children without feeling too cramped. Having a private pool, jacuzzi and tennis court meant that we spent a lot of time relaxing at the villa enjoying the wonderful views. Even washing up was a delight as the view from the kitchen window is lovely!
There were a few little issues initially with the villa but these were swiftly put right by the management team and did not spoil our holiday . We were very impressed with the care and attention we were given both from Valter the owner and his management team.
The size, standard and location of this villa is ideal for those who want to relax and enjoy true Portugal. This area is definitely not your typical tourist area, and it was lovely to enjoy traditional Portuguese culture.
Moncarapacho is a quaint town with plenty of nice places to eat, or sit having a coffee in the square watching the world go by. It is also easy to drive to bigger towns and beaches within 20 minutes from the villa.
The only small downside for us was that we had to drive everywhere, and there are no taxis in moncarapacho , they have to come from olhao. However we all agreed we had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend this villa.
Thank you Valter.

This is a high spec, spacious villa with lots of facilities. It is in a quiet location away from the more touristy west side of the Algarve which appealed to us. There are nice restaurants in Moncarapacho, particularly Antonios and the lovely beaches and fresh sea food restaurants are only 10-15 minute drive away. The pool is a good size and clean. The only warning I would give is if you are going out there with the main aim of playing tennis - the court is not the correct size. Having said that, our children very much enjoyed knocking a ball about daily. We had many lovely BBQs and dining on the terrace with the views and peacefulness was a highlight. We enjoyed staying in this villa so much in July we went back for another week in September and would certainly recommend it.
