This host had my family and I removed from her cabin by police w/in 2 1/2 hours of us arriving, stating that we made resevation for 4 but we had 6 at the cabin. When I made the reservation I forgot to update my serach critera and tried to explain this was an innocent mistake and offered to pay for the two additional guests. We couldn't understand why there was an issue when her listing and my documentation references max of 8 people. Nothing on listing or documents state max guest capicty is number on reservation. She refused to allow us to stay or refund us, crassly mentioning she will only be receiving $*** of what we paid and b/c we wouldn't accept her late check in request, it cost her an additional $***w/ her cleaners to have the cabin ready (When we made reservation she had asked we check in later, w/ no offer of prorating the stay, we had politely refused and she accepted.). I have visited the hosts page a few times since to find proof of us being in violation, nothing found. Luckily I had taken screen shots of the listing in case it was removed from site, as indicated by our Vrbo rep being a possibility, I discovered the host had changed her name and about the host section of listing from **** to ****. Since our case was closed, it has been changed back to ****. Why the need for the name change? Seems a bit suspicious. My family and I are traumatized, angry and feel taken advantage of by this person.

These owners thought of everything. Plenty of linens. Games. Hooks to hang up clothes and wet towels from the amazing hot tub. There are so many porches with amazing views. Plenty of space to eat dinner together outside and inside. Even added seasonal decorations and "welcome" snacks. The owner is so friendly and easy to work with. Felt like i was booking with a family member. We will definitely be back for a stay. Amazing family vacation at this awesome cabin.

We met some friends from Indiana at cabin. It was a good central location. We spent the entire weekend relaxing. Absolutely loved the screened in porch with Mountain View.

The check-in was a little odd as I initially confirmed 4 adults would be staying(10/6/23), yet on 11/3/23 I received an email from the host asking me to confirm 4 adults again.
The good:
The cabin appeared to be fairly new and well maintained. We were provided with all the necessary amenities. The views from the north side were amazing.
The bad:
The approximately 2 mile road to the cabin is not for the ‘faint of heart’. It is a single (mostly gravel) lane road with sharp turns and blind spots with no way to pass an oncoming vehicle. We did encounter that situation a couple of times which could have been potentially dangerous as there are no guard rails and the drop would be catastrophic. Highly recommend all-wheel drive/4 wheel drive vehicle.Thank goodness the weather was pleasant.
It would have been appreciated if there was some kind of notice prior to booking.
Last night of stay(11/8/23) I received email from host asking what time we were checking out the next day. I responded at 10am even though it was previously stated in the confirmation. I subsequently received a second email asking the same question on (11/9/23) at approximately 5am. Cleaning schedule was her concern.

Great place to stay at the top of the mountain with beautiful views and every level and plenty of room for a large family.

We loved this cabin. We had 4 adults and two small children. It was perfect with room for more. Great experience.

Beautiful house, well equipped and spacious. We were not able to use the outdoor living room because it snowed and covered the area and temps were in the teen

This was our second time staying at the property and we will definitely be back again. Ideal for families (we have a 1.5 year old), love love love the cozy screened in deck with fire place. The home is well stocked with everything you need to relax and enjoy.

We enjoyed our long weekend in and around the cabin. Roomy with extra nice porch "living room" with fireplace. Very quiet and peaceful... just what we were looking for. Host was very easy to communicate with and very reqponsive to any questions. The neighborhood is beautiful. Only drawback for us "older folks" was steep, winding one lane road to get to cabin once you enter the neighborhood. We had great weather... no rain or snow... but we made sure we did not travel the road after dark.

We had so much fun at the cabin! We stayed with our two girls (ages 8 and 5) and had everything we needed. From games to kitchen necessities, there was nothing lacking. We would definitely rent again and wish we could’ve stayed longer!

We had a great time at Kristi’s beautiful mountain cabin. The views, the spacious guest accommodations, the peace and quiet of a private community was great.
The screened porches were awesome.
There are TVs in every room with an awesome game room downstairs. Washer and Dryer with easy accessibility. Great kitchen fully equipped. Some of the pans were old and the no stick coating was peeling into our food. We just bought a pan from Walmart. We were able to cook daily in the fully equipped kitchen and save a bunch on eating out. Shopped at Food Lion but should have gone to Walmart for groceries. Food Lion was WAY TOO expensive! Next time we will know.
Loved the adorable decor, tons of forest and mountain views through the many beautiful windows and doors. There are fireplaces everywhere.
With two King bedrooms, the awesome loft, the two Futons, and Bunk beds…lots of sleeping space for way more than the four of us. Felt like a 5 bedroomThere is a huge picture window right in the master shower stall with no shade.
A little weird so I did not use that shower bc the cabin next door was occupied and there were people there that could just see in. The window is up high and maybe there is no visibility but at night it was unnerving to take a shower there. Maybe a half decal on the window may help for privacy. Also, the sink in the master was unusable, clogged. Even so… Location was amazing with mountain views all around. Mercers Orchard, downtown Blue Ridge, waterfalls and hiking just minutes away.
The road leading to the mountain top retreat was a bit scary for a city gal! Haha. It’s a climb to get up the mountain. There are deep gorges below and there is a tiny road that hugs the mountain that’s two ways that you have to take to the house. There is no room for two way traffic so one must back up on what seems like a ledge to a spot in the shoulder and pull in, to allow the oncoming traffic to pass. It was was too stressful for me. You do get used to it though. So glad we arrived in the daytime. Very very out of the beaten path location which adds to the beauty of the experience. Thankfully the road was just a mile but I held my breath each time we had to venture out.
There’s a fire pit and a hot tub but we opted to enjoy the fireplace on the outdoor living room deck. Super cool place to build a fire, watch TV, toast some smores and just watch the GORGEOUS sunsets!
We loved the place. Thanks Kristi for letting us stay. :)

I honestly don't even know where to start. My husband and I started coming up to the Blue Ridge area in 2013. Since our 1st trip, I have stayed in roughly 15 different cabins. This cabin is BY FAR THE BEST CABIN I have ever stayed in. The owner's attention to detail is amazing. They literally have everything you could ever need or imagine in the cabin. The location is beautiful, the scenery is breathtaking, beds are comfy, I could go on and on. My only regret with this cabin is I didn't book a longer stay so I'd have more time there!!!! I will without a doubt be back to this cabin and I suggest anyone that considering staying in the area book this cabin if its available.

5 of us rented the cabin for a friend’s birthday. Hosts were very responsive. Screened in patio was where we spent all our time- beautiful views. Hot tub was clean and relaxing. Bathrooms were spacious. Be prepared to navigate some tough turns getting up to cabin, but it’s a great place and would recommend hosts. Downtown Blue Ridge had cute shops too!

The place needed a deep cleaning. Lots of dust, kitchen floor was dirty. Outside porch light is out, bad lighting in dining area. Need a clean air filter. Everyone was sneezing. Lots of condiments were in refrigerator on arrival. These need to be thrown out due to Covid!!!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin was perfect for our family, giving everyone lots of space to settle in. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub and fire pit were lots of fun. The beds were very comfortable, and we all loved having our own bathrooms. Loved the location, and we would definitely come back!

Loved the cabin, it was roomy and had all the amenities you could ask for. It was well stocked and very clean inside. My only 3 negatives are that the rear deck looks directly at another cabin, so the view wasn't the best..I wish that a picture of the real view was shown. Secondly, the rear deck had lots of spiderwebs and debris and obviously hadn't been given a good cleaning in some time. The main floor king bed was also way too firm for me. Otherwise, it was perfect and those are minor things that did not take away from loving that cabin! Definitely on the list to book again next year!

We rented this cabin for a girls get away. It fit our needs perfectly! We were a group from age 36 to 86! The cabin was super cute, clean and user friendly. We spent most of our time on the awesome screened in porch. We are already a return trip for next year!

We rented this cabin for a friend getaway over a long weekend. Overall we greatly enjoyed it.

We started out our trip by arriving in the dark. We had no idea how curvy/steep the gravel roads were. It was very difficult to find in the dark (do not recommend arriving in the dark). Once we did, we loved how it was super easy to enter using a code and we entered putting lights on and unpacking/exploring. We could not wait for morning to see everything outside. We enjoyed out first night on the back patio.
We really enjoyed the house but be forewarned - it is really meant for family time. Every little noise and toilet flush can be heard, so romantic or "alone adult time" is difficult to achieve.
We loved the layout and really enjoyed exploring the kitchen to see how we were going to use the various items as we cooked our meals. We truly appreciated the dishwasher as well as washer/dryer.
We never did get to use the hot tub due to the weather and never was able to figure out how to make the coffee maker work, despite a you tube video. The second night we went to grill and despite there being three propane tanks - all were empty. The steaks were not done right in the oven BUT we did contact the owners and they had propane to use the next day. They also extended our checkout by one hour after we lost power due to serious rainfall on the am of checkout. That was really nice!
The property itself was beautiful and peaceful and we really did have a great time. The kids enjoyed the game room. They did mention they wished there had been a pool table but they had a lot of un playing darts, cornhole as well as Blue Ridge Opoly.
We would recommend this for family and friends as it is beautiful and spacious and with good weather - great views. We enjoyed the inside fireplace and good to know that the loft gets super toasty when it is lit - :)
PS Be sure to have DRY Kindle or something else to start the firepit with. Be sure to bring your own lighter too.

This was our 4th year up between Christmas and NYE with the family. We've always bounced around checking out different cabins in different areas. I think we found our new winter retreat for future trips!
The amenities and space were perfect for the family. The larger porches and outdoor fireplace were great for cooking and hanging on the cold evenings. The downstairs game room with the bunk bed bedroom was perfect for our 5 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter.
Can't wait to get back next year and explore all the fun outdoor activities and adventures!

Beautiful view. Convenient to downtown Blue Ridge. Our family spent most of our time around the outside fireplace. Kids enjoyed the hit tub and the games downstairs.

Beautifully appointed rustic cabin on side of mountain overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. With cold temps and light snow one night we enjoyed staying inside, not venturing out. Cooking, reading, and movie watching near the cozy fireplace filled our few days. Then toured downtown Blue Ridge on way out of town.
For larger groups there were board games, video games, and cards to enjoy being together inside, and a fire pit and hot tub were nice outside activities. In warmer weather the swings on the porch would be fun to use.
Great place for adults and kids!
