We had a beautiful stay at this property. There was tons of room for our two young boys to run and play inside and outside the house. The home is well-appointed and clean. The homeowners were very easy to communicate with and readily available to answer any questions that we had during our stay. The only "problem" we ran into is that the house is very close to a train track an the trains were running and blowing their horns starting around 5:45am. We're early risers so it was a real issue with for us but for a guest who is a light sleeper or wants to sleep in, bring a set of ear plugs :)
Thank you for a beautiful stay. We'll be back!

The pictures and other reviews are extremely true to the experience you get. I would even venture to say that the home is even lovelier than shown. It's very relaxing, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The location is fantastic for all aspects of Merced. We were there for business but we also took the time to exercise etc. Since we had to work as a team and we used this as a team bonding work trip, it was incredibly nice to have a place to work and relax, as well as have our own private space. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful.

Our family of 7 stayed in this beautiful home. The front and back yard were well landscaped and provided a beautiful outside setting as well as a fun place for my kids to play and explore. The rooms were cute, welcoming, and serene. We happened to be in Merced for a family funeral, so it was so nice to have a home to find peace and comfort.
My girls loved the bunk bed and the boys enjoyed sharing the other room. We especially enjoyed the simplicity but beautiful decorations. It made it possible to enjoy a beautiful place with out stressing about kids easily breaking something. My husband and I enjoyed the sunroom directly off of the master bed room. It was a great place to go first thing in the morning, for a marvelous view and feeling of being surrounded by the outdoors.
There is a particularly large closet for the master bedroom. The kitchen was a wonderful place to cook food and store groceries. The family room was so welcoming with lots of windows to the outside but large bushes also provided privacy. We also did laundry the night before leaving which helped with immediate travel plans. My kids particularly enjoyed the large roll of paper and markers/crayons to make pirate and treasure maps for each other to follow.
We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Would go back again in a heart beat and stay longer! The owners were fabulous about staying in contact, being so welcoming, and even helping us get a towel returned we had left behind.
A wonderful home to stay at and enjoy! Felt like a beachy vacation and respite for our family.
Thankyou for making our stay so wonderful!

We stayed here with our 3 adult children. It was very comfortable with enough room for all of us to have our own spot. The kitchen is beautiful and well appointed and the front and back yards are very well kept with places to relax. It is located in a good neighborhood in the heart of Merced.
The owners were great and were available to answer any questions we had. I recommend this home for anyone needing a roomy place to stay in the central valley.

Our New York based family needed to find accommodations for 8 of us attending a memorial service in Atwater on very short notice. We were lucky enough to find Diedre and Jason's home available for the three nights we were in town. It couldn't have fit our needs any more perfectly. The pictures don't go far enough to capture how spacious and comfortable the home is. As an owner of an older home, I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the photo album of the home renovation. Diedre was very attentive and helpful as we arrived and settled in for our stay, too.
We have shared our experience with our Merced family and look forward to staying at this location in the future when we visit.

We are still enjoying our stay! While my husband is doing 4 months of research at the university of Merced, I am taking care of our 1.5-year-old son.
Jason and Diedra are incredibly friendly and helpful. They are such good people and have two nice boys of (nearly) 8 and 10, so their house is perfect for traveling with children. There are games, books, paper, crayons and much more, even a kids-sized table and chairs and plastic plates and cutlery.
The weather is so nice and we enjoy eating in the spacious garden. The kitchen has all the equipment a professional cook would want. And one can have a cook-out on the large BBQ too.
There are shops, bars and restaurants at walking distance. Yosemite and Sequoia National Park, San Francisco, the beautiful beaches are about a 2-hour drive.
There are so many positive things to say about this house that this review is too short. Just come over and stay here, you'll see for yourself!

This beautiful home has all the amenities your own home would have. Traveling with 3 coworkers, this was the perfect home to stay in. The big kitchen allowed us to cook meals and save money on eating out. We visited the Sequoia National Park, Castle Air Museum, and Yosemite, which are well worth the money and drive. Owners were easy to communicate with and recommended places to eat and local attractions to visit. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay with them again.

We were in Merced for a family wedding and wanted a house that would allow us to stay with our kids and grandkids. The house was very comfortable and family friendly and provided us with an inviting space for friends and family to stop by and visit
. It has a wonderful, spacious kitchen which allowed us to eat "in" rather than go out for meals - very convenient. We enjoyed our stay!

the home was exactly as advertised. the home is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood but has trains not far away which can be heard at night. The house provided everything needed including availability of internet, and included a very well thought out library with many children's books. Contact with owner was easy and we had answers to questions within the same day as our stay. We found enough good restaurants, be aware one which serves steaks needed to be reserved ahead of time to insure a good eating time at night. There is easy access to nearby national parks, all of which are beautiful and worth visiting, the town also has a great little museum in its old court house. Worth the price.
