Thise was a great place to stay, very quiet. Walking distant to a couple good restaurants. We liked the off-street parking. And most of all the house was very roomy and comfortable.

The location of the house is just a block from downtown Washburn & in a nice neighborhood. We felt safe & comfortable during early morning walks and to a restaurant after dark. There are signs to take off shoes in the mudroom before entering the kitchen. We hope all guests comply as it's a nice 'rule' for helping keep the house clean. No pets & no smoking are part of the reason we chose this house.
The kitchen & refrigerator were clean. Always a plus when you plan to bring & make your own food. There are basic dishes/silverware/cooking pans.Bring your own baking dishes & crock pot if you'll need them.
Plenty of beds for a large group. We only used 3 of the 5 bedrooms. Spacious gathering space
It's an old home with angled ceilings in the upstairs where 4 of the 5 bedrooms are.It can be off-putting for taller guests, as all of the beds are partially under angled roof. The peaked roof makes the bathroom a little tight too.
Heat rises...so the upstairs was considerably warmer. The thermostat is accessible, so we turned the air conditioning to a cooler temp and shut off some of the main level air vents to help 'push' more air upstairs.
There were not enough washcloths for 5 people for 3 nights/4 days. There is a washer & dryer in the main level bathroom so you could do laundry. We didn't ask the owner for more as we always bring some of our own towels, etc. just in case. Suggest bringing your own quality toilet paper, tissue & paper towels. A 'check-out' list would be helpful.

Our family of 10 rented the house for 3 days. We all fell in love with Washburn and the whole area. The location was great - walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and the waterfront. Close to Bayfield and Madeleine Island.
The house was clean, spacious, well equipped. It was actually better than described. Loved the kitchen and the spacious gathering area.

My sister and I traveled to Washburn from Minneapolis (after I flew to see her from Chicago for a nice birthday visit) for my brother-in-law's memorial service and my family travelled up from Chicago to meet us for the weekend.
Rebecca was great. She was there to greet us and provided physical keys. I installed a keyless app, and I was able to use that. When she found out we were going to gather some lupines for the memorial service, she came back later that evening when we were sitting out on the front deck and had a container full of lupines to help us out! We all thought that was so nice.
The place was so much larger than I imagined and also was very clean and nicely decorated. My adult daughter especially enjoyed the swings chairs, but we also caught my husband and son in them as well on the last day. So we all got the chance to swing.
The location was perfect for walking to the stores, restaurants and grocery store. We drove into Bayfield twice for smoked trout and went to the fishery and local dairy.
There were also plenty of utensils, a coffee maker, and a good amount of dry goods.

This house was perfect for our family group of 6. Very comfortable and nice amenities.

Owner was very accomodating. Met at the house with the keys. Gave a tour of the house. Suggestions: more utensils are needed and more garbage bags and toilet paper.
