The property is very nice and comfortable. I actually feel it is nicer than the photos. The lounge area is especially good for chilling in, playing board games etc.
We were there for skiing. It is a 5 minute walk to/from the piste which was fine.
It is on a hill above the village, so typically you would drive down to a restaurant, shop or ski hire, but not a problem really when self catering. You could use a gondola until 17:00
The downside was the check-in and linen arrangements, and communication on it beforehand.
I would prefer all the linen and towels to be supplied, and happy to pay extra for it.
However you have to bring it or hire it. We decided to bring it, as the hire just added more cost - but then you get there and the bed and pillow sizes are different, so we had to hire some in the end. All very stressful and unnecessary, especially for those travelling from the Uk. I have hired many French chalets before and not had to do this.
The communication on the above was all a bit unclear and painful too. And then the checkin required you to queue for a long time at an office in La Clusaz. More hassle, and not our previous experience.
Finally, the chalet is obviously a family home. Some of this was charming. Some of it felt a bit too much (family photos everywhere).
Overall we had a good holiday. The chalet is good, just some of the arrangements were really annoying.
