This is a cozy 2-bedroom (large room queen size bed) one bath. A great little cabin in the woods, with classic Alaska views, great fishing, hiking, kayaking and wildlife nearby! Only a short walk to beaches and salmon streams. A short drive to the boat launch for boat access.
**The cabin has unique "ship stairs" that may not be accessible for those with mobility challenges (photo). Shared Laundry.
Plenty of parking available. Key-less electronic entry. The A-frame is its own structure with private entrance, but shares a locking, common hallway where the Washer and Dryer are located. Our goal for our vacation rental is to provide a beautiful, well-equipped cabin in the woods where people can come and unwind, relax, explore, and create lasting memories. We strive to make this unique setting your home away from home.
We are pretty rural. This property is 1.5 acres, and in the woods, about 10 minutes from town. You will need a car. There are several great hiking trails near by, and the Eaglecrest Ski Area is just about 10 minutes away. There are also some great beaches near by for picnics/bon fires, and a boat launch about 5 minutes away.
You will need a car (unless you have a bike and you are really tough :)). Nearby you can enjoy the wetlands (Gastineau channel tidal flats), fish creek for hiking or fishing, Outer point trail, rainforest trail, Fish creek trail, and more.
We are about 10 minutes' drive from downtown and the cruise ship docks, 20 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes from the Ferry Terminal and the Mendenhall Glacier. We can also make recommendations for bike rentals, kayak rentals, guides, and more... We recommend renting a car so you can explore all Juneau, Douglas, Auke Bay, and Thane. The A-frame is on the Juneau Douglas City Bus line, and there are several local taxi companies. Guests have let me know how convenient the cabin is located. 10 minutes from Downtown! Southeast Alaska is a rain forest, so bring rain gear including boots

We had a great stay in this cute cabin in the woods. Not far from downtown Juneau and all of the tours that are available but a lot more secluded. The owner was very helpful.
