While we thoroughly enjoyed the destination itself, the room we booked was simply not suitable for the three of us.
We specifically requested a double bed room, under the assumption it would provide adequate space for our group. However, the room turned out to be incredibly cramped, making our stay quite uncomfortable. We had to take turns getting ready in the limited space, which was far from ideal.
In my opinion, a room of that size is only appropriate for a couple, not three adults. The lack of space severely detracted from our overall experience and comfort level.
While the staff was friendly, I believe there is significant room for improvement in ensuring guest rooms match the advertised specifications and can comfortably accommodate the number of occupants.

Small but clean an nicely detailed rooms. Beautiful facilities.

The hotel lists a 2 bedroom bungalow unit that is 0 bedroom and a loft that you (I) can't stand up in. The bathroom sink is crammed into a small corner under the stairs where anyone over 5'8" can't stand either. Furthermore, it's 20 minutes away from downtown but nowhere was it mentioned that you would not be at the hotel site. After some discussions with the front desk team and manager they refunded the second night's stay so we could find a place closer to the center.

Overall our stay was really great!
The location is simply amazing, really close to everything and every time you go out the lobby you get the beautiful sight of “La Merced” simply amazing!
The stuff was super helpful, friendly and always available. Food was good as well (breakfast included)
The beds were comfortable.
My only comment (which I also expressed to the front desk at our departure time) is that the room was designed a bit too small. If you bring 2 regular size suitcases that’s it, you will find yourself having trouble walking towards the bathroom or out of the room because the space between the wall and the foot of the beds is pretty reduced.
Other than that the hotel is really good!
I would definitely stay there there again but for sure will bring smaller suitcases.

Everything about our stay at Casa Realeza was incredible! Everyone on the staff was super friendly, helpful and went out of their way to be accommodating - from the moment I booked, to check in, to helping get taxis and communicating with us during our stay. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious & very clean & the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast they served each morning was delicious. The location is amazing, it's right in the center of the town, steps away from restaurants, markets & bars. It felt very safe and secure. The views are insane. The only thing is if you're planning on being in your room throughout the day/evening (1pm- 10pm ish) you will hear music playing-- but it's good music! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again!!

The property is very nice.
Unfortunately, my fiance arrived well after I checked in. She arrived in a quarrelsome state and began to berate and assault me for allegedly leaving her four (4) blocks away. She was extremely irate and assaulted me in front of both a guest and the receptionist as witnessed at the door to the room as I tried to leave the room.
I requested the receptionist call law enforcement and was confronted with an officer who threatened to arrest "me" for disturbing the peace. The property's manager arrived sometime when law enforcement had arrived and insisted I pay for room damages in the amount of 900 Quetzales and immediately leave the property. Oddly enough, the cops refused to wake up the fiance and get her version as its supposedly unlawful to wake someone up if sleeping.
The whole incident was incredulous: "I" called for help, the receptionist witnessed the assault, and I was the one that was ordered to leave the premises ... and even be arrested for insulting the manager as he had attempted to make me the troublemaker. I did nothing except check-in in peace and quiet to my room.
There was even a guest, a German police officer, who witnessed everything but the cops refused to bother him for a statement or even verbal account.

Has a restaurant in the middle of the hotel, so they play loud music from noon to 10 pm, you must keep dor
Ors and windows closed if you dont want the noise come into you bedroom and no fan nor ac so ir gets hot

Right in front of La Merced church. Do not include breakfast, it's very bad. Add hair dryer.

Great location central to everything. Friendly staff. Downsides include loud music until 10pm because there is a restaurant right next to the rooms, small rooms and no ac or fans. Gets very hot and stuffy.

The small property is lovely and rooms and decor are gorgeous.
Unfortunately the location on Expedia is not listed correctly and not in the town square.
This was rather disappointing as this was the only reason I booked it.
Music playing does not fit the environment or price, even if i did ask to turn it down. They advise it stops around 10pm.
Alot of potential but unfortunately can have improvement

very convenient for the purpose of our visit. main points of attraction were within a walking distance. felt safe. friendly staff.
We did not like the fact that our room was right on the first level by the patio dining area. loud music, and diners right outside our window. also the room was a bit too small for the price we paid.

Overall it was a very good stay. The hotel staff is so kind, helpful, and welcoming. There are some things that could be improved for the comfort of the stay... For the access to the hotel rooms, it would be wonderful to add a walkway for guests with their luggage to walk through the courtyard (not having a sidewalk with rolling suitcases is not ideal). It would also be suggested to add a full mirror to the room along with a place to hang up your clothing. Additionally, guests dining directly outside your hotel room is not an ideal setup for the comfort of both hotel and restaurant guests.

The rooms were quite clean although very small, and you wouldn't be able to fit a large suitcase for example. The location was good but contrary to what their profile says, they don't have nor facilitate parking, which was a problem. The breakfast was sad, and we were for example told to make our own coffee using the instant coffee in the room. The rooms are pretty and quite clean and the staff was nice, but we considered it overpriced taking into account the level of service, and would not go back.
