About this house rental

The perfect base for your Christchurch Stay, located truly in the heart of the city. A sleek contemporary townhouse with the added bonus of a courtyard garden. Leave the car at home and simply step out the door - a vast array of eateries, shops and other amenities is just a short stroll away. Wander to the Avon river and follow the riverside walking trail to Te Pae, Oxford Terrace or further to the Botanic Gardens or the burgeoning Arts Precinct.

The north facing open-plan living is cleverly designed to bring the outdoors in. Large bifold doors can be pushed back to connect the securely fenced wraparound courtyard garden extending the living area and creating a superb sense of space. A gas fire lends ambience to the sitting area and overlooking the dining area is a beautiful high spec kitchen with a gas cooktop and stainless steel counter.

Upstairs, arranged along a light-filled gallery, are three double bedrooms, including a spacious master with WIR and tiled en suite plus a family bathroom with separate bath.

Off street parking is either inside the internal access garage (small cars only) or in front of the garage.

NB The open staircase makes this home unsuitable for babies, toddlers and the less mobile.

The property was conveniently located and perfect for our group of 5 adults. Communication with the owners was excellent, and they were responsive and provided helpful advice on things to do/places to eat etc. We had no trouble parking our van in the garage - which was very convenient. There is some street noise, but this did not bother us. The fridge is small - but that wasn’t an issue for us. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms/ showers were clean with plenty of hot water. It would be helpful to have a “cheat sheet” highlighting the closest local supermarket, coffee shop, and recommended restaurants and activities. Overall a very pleasant stay and highly recommended.

My family of four had a wonderful stay here in April. . It was open, inviting, clean, and well located. It was an easy walk to the Avon, Margaret Mary Playground, and to the CBD beyond. It was well furnished and had everything we could ask for. Check-In was a breeze and everything was communicated clearly. This was probably the nicest home we've ever visited using VRBO

The apartment was clean, airy and had a very homely feel. The Hosts were extremely generous in leaving a very "Welcoming" gift. It was the best that we had stayed in on our holiday. Every need was thought of from the bathroom to the kitchen. With just a short, enjoyable walk to the city centre and eateries/bars, we felt that we were in a great location. I would highly recommend staying in this apartment.

The townhouse has a great open floor plan with lots of light/windows. The gas fireplace in the lounge area was a very nice cozy feature. The kitchen was well equipped, and having a laundry room was a big plus. The walk to downtown was picturesque, easy and took just a few minutes. Ken, the property manager (owner) responded quickly to messages, was very friendly and helpful. This is a great VRBO for a visit to Christchurch! I would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to my family for their next trip to NZ.

Modern, stylish, sunny townhouse on two levels, living areas on lower level. Well appointed modern appliances we were able to be self sufficient or dine out as town house a short walk to restaurants. Highly recommended central city accommodation.
