We are nestled at the foot of October Mountain State Forest, yet close to the centers of Lee, Lenox, & Pittsfield. Our charming house was built in 1817- original wood beams, wood floors, and quite a history.
Whether you enjoy skiing, exploring local restaurants & downtowns, venturing outdoors or experiencing the local art scene, the Berkshires has something for everyone. Our little farmhouse serves as the perfect "home base" for all of your Berkshire adventures.
Our charming farm-house is 800 sq. ft. It's cozy, quaint, and very sweet.
The Space
The FIRST FLOOR contains the kitchen, bathroom, and living room. The SECOND FLOOR contains the upper room & bedroom. *YOU MUST BE COMFORTABLE CLIMBING STAIRS TO STAY HERE.*
Living room: Roku SmartTV (we do not have cable) two sofas, dining nook, washer & dryer, original wood floors, a record player with vintage records, exposed original beams & vaulted ceiling.
Kitchen: kitchen range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, kitchen toolse, bowls & plates, silverware, sink. Coffee, tea, & oatmeal provided. Beautiful vaulted ceilings with original wood beams.
Bedroom: original wood floors, original wood beams & vaulted ceiling, king size bed, blankets, two dressers, closet with hangers, air conditioner in the summer months.
Upper room: wood floors, original wood beams & vaulted ceilings, loveseat, small work desk, books to gander at.
Bathroom: toilet, sink, mirror, bathroom storage, hair dryer, shower with amenities provided (towel sets, shampoo, conditioner, body wash).
Yard, Front Porch, & Back Deck: Feel free to enjoy our beautiful, .5 acre backyard. We have a beautiful back deck off of the kitchen. Read a book, lounge in the sun, or just relax.
Guest Access
You'll have access to every part of the house besides the basement. It will only be YOU staying here. We do not live here.
Parking: We have two parking spaces in front of our house. Accommodates 2 vehicles.
Other Things to Note
-We call this a farmhouse because it reflects the original style of one and WAS one (two hundred years ago)- not because the house is on a farm.
- There is not good cellular service at this property. We DO provide WiFi. We recommend setting up WiFi calling on your cell phone prior to your arrival.
-Our king bed fits two people. If you need another sleeping space, there is a queen air mattress stored in the upper room (we also provide linens for the air mattress- will be brought out upon request).
- Our stairwell is more narrow than most and gets you to the upper room & bedroom. You must travel down them to use the bathroom. *IF YOU ARE DISABLED OR UNCOMFORTABLE WITH STAIRS, THIS MAY NOT BE THE SPACE FOR YOU.* You will have to navigate stairs while staying here.
- We do not have a clothing iron. Our dryer does, however, have a "steaming" feature.
- Absolutely no smoking of any kind inside of the house.
- Fire-pit is not available for guest use.
