Owners Share Why I Love My Home:
We love being centrally located to everything the Cape has to offer. Having kids, we love to do a lot when we are on vacation and keep them busy. There's so much to do, wake up and hit the beach or Joshua's pond for the day, then do some street shopping in Falmouth or Hyannis, and Chatham. Take a day trip to the islands, catch a baseball game, or just relax at the house. We love having so many options, the pond, the lake and lots of beaches.
Let Us Tell You About This Home:
Prior to entering the home, you pass through a little gated area at the front with two Adirondack chairs. What a great spot to have your morning coffee as the sun rises and Cape Cod awakens!
You walk into a small hallway with a wall to the right with cube-shaped cut outs that let the living room show through. There are currently two chaise lounges, chairs and a flat screen TV. A new sectional will be purchased for the 2023 season. A gas fireplace is a nice addition during colder off season visits.
Hardwood floors flow throughout the open layout of living space. To the left is a traditional dining room with 4 chairs. The dining area is open to kitchen with a pass through window in the wall.
The sweet kitchen has the typical amenities - fridge, oven, electric stove top, microwave and a large, stainless steel double sink. There is no dishwasher. The back door opens to the deck overlooking the large back yard. Here you will find a gas grill, glass table for outdoor dining and picnics. Also, some adirondack chairs to read your favorite book or get some sun. The steps lead to lower level of the back yard with a gate that accesses the driveway.
Off the kitchen is a utility closet (with cleaning supplies if needed) and another small staircase to the lower level with washer / dryer.
A full bathroom is easily reached from the kitchen and the hallway to the bedrooms. This bathroom has a tub / shower combo.
Down the hallway is Bedroom #1 on left with Twin bunk beds with a trundle and an extra twin bed - bedroom sleeps 4. Open closet for all your summer wardrobe changes. A window fan for extra cooling.
On the right is Bedroom #2 with a Queen bed, two chairs, ensuite full bathroom with shower only (small step up) and a pedestal sink.
Straight ahead is Bedroom #3 with a Full and Twin Bed. A summery, wicker desk for writing post cards to those left behind or perfect for a laptop if remote working is still on your schedule. There is a stand up fan for warm nights.
Home has a ductless A/C unit in the living area that helps cool the entire home. Each bedroom has a window fan for extra cooling.
There are lots of ways for everyone in your group - the family dog, too - to enjoy Family Tides - this home offers two kayaks with life jackets and paddles, cornhole for a spirited family competition and a fire pit for late night s'mores or ghost stories. The owners are offering a summer beach pass for guest use that will allow access and free parking at many local beaches. Remember to bring the beach chairs provided!
From its picket fence in the front yard to its private deck in the backyard, this retreat provides relaxation as well as convenience to the Centerville Public Library, Craigville Beach, the Centerville Playground, Four Seas Ice Cream, the 1856 Country Store, and more. Don't hesitate to make this home your happy place.
