First time I have to do the check in on a phone that was handed by a lovely receptionist. Fill out a form and upload passports. Beautiful building, however there is no elevator and our room was in the third floor. Decor in room and hotel is impeccable, however there was lots of light in the room. And somebody got confused and opened our door at 3:20 am Like a lively B&B only with no breakfast, however it’s the first time we get an aeroccino for a fantastic in room Nespresso Check out is at 11, if you go an hour past that, you will get a 25£ charge

Would recommend instructions with the coffee maker--how to use it was not intuitive. Also, for the kettle, there is no easy way in the room to fill it--the bathroom sink is quite shallow. Loved the room but there was no desk area for writing. That said, furnishings were love, bed super-comfortable, and overall appearance exceptional. Behind the Georgian facade is an ultra-modern hotel.

This property is in the historic area of Southampton. So it has aesthetic qualities that are unique and charming! We would recommend this property to everyone but especially those folks coming from a cruise ship at Southampton, then flying out of Southampton airport. Amazing stay, thank you!!

Fantastic stay. What a beautiful hotel. From the staff to the decor, everything was perfect. The room was clean. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. The breakfast was lovely. The smell in the hotel was lovely as well.

A fantastic small hotel. Made very welcome on arrival and stored suitcases as we were early. When we returned, the suitcases had been put in our room. The room was lovely and of a very high standard. There was complimentary drinks and snacks and breakfast served in the room in the morning. Would definitely be our number one choice in Southampton.

We stayed at No. 4 Carlton the night before our cruise. This hotel was perfect. The room was spacious and well appointed, the staff was exceptional, and the service was top notch. The location was convenient and within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping.

It truly was a “boutique” hotel experience. The reception staff were so kind & accommodating of my every need; the continental breakfast & the contents of the mini-fridge were complimentary & thoughtfully attractive as well. This little gem is wonderfully situated for those wanting an air-conditioned property near the cruise docks.

We had an amazing stay! The hotel was beautiful, the design of the room was amazing, the hospitality was out of this world, the staff are so friendly and accommodating. We will 100% be staying here again, worth every penny and the best hotel experience we have had. I even received a phone call informing me my partner had left his contacts, very thoughtful gesture! I was incredibly disappointed with my experience. Despite the hefty price tag, there was no buffet or hot food available for breakfast, the room temperature was set at a stifling 25 degrees Celsius, making it nearly impossible to be comfortable. Adding insult to injury, the windows were painted shut and covered with mold, creating a claustrophobic and unsanitary environment. To top it all off, the hotel is situated in an awful area, further diminishing any desire to stay there. Needless to say, I won't be returning anytime soon.

Incredible service, comfortable beds, plenty of pillows! House baked continental breakfast, free mini-fridge with plenty of snacks and drinks, in-room Nespresso and kettle for complimentary tea and coffee. Gorgeously decorated. Just perfect!

Lovely room with a gorgeous marble bathroom. Great pubs and restaurants nearby. We loved the fresh pizza and draught beer at the London Road Brew House andfor dinner, Smugglers'.
