About this house rental
Situated on the south side of Rarotonga in tranquil Vaimaanga. MM “Batch” is across the road from one of Rarotonga’s most beautiful white sand beaches known for its snorkeling, marine treasures, and excellent swimming.
Two spacious bedrooms hold large queensize beds (one also has a single bed), with new linen and furnishings, ideal for a one or two couple vacation, or family unit. The newly appointed kitchen (with full oven/stove and microwave) opens to the dining area and large living area with TV and stereo. Sliding doors from the lounge lead to the wooden deck and allow passage of the on shore breeze through the house, keeping it light and cool.
Transportation around the island is conveniently located close by with bus stop, and buses that generally run every hour around the island. Alternately a 15 minute sunset stroll along the beach will lead you to the “Vaima” restaurant replete with an excellent bar and menu. Coming back along the road will take you past the Roc Café for tasty lunches, Wigmores superstore for essential household shopping and further along the Yellow Hibiscus Restaurant. Walking the other way will bring you to the Saltwater Café (excellent coffee), more great snorkeling and the Queens Representative Home.
The Vaimaanga district is also famous for “Papua” (Wigmores Waterfall) and the cross island walk, a four hour trek that takes you through the tropical interior of the island to “The Needle” a large rock outcrop that reveals spectacular mountain views of Rarotonga, from the mountains to the sea! People generally start this trek inland from the township of Avarua ending up in Vaima at the waterfall.

This Bach was perfect for our family. I liked being on that side of the island with less wind, beaches were lovely nearby. House was rather spacious with everything you could need. Host was very responsive.

Comfortable layout. Well-equipped kitchen and laundry. Great location - able to walk to: beach, bus stop, Circles Coffee Shop, the well-stocked Wigmore’s Super Store (which sells lots of prepared foods and ice cream by the scoop), and the highly recommended Vaima’s Restaurant. On the main road so very convenient but still very quiet. Would definitely suggest this house to friends. Good communication with host.

Location photos out of date relating to beach access
A bit noisy and not very private due to corner property and everyone looking in going past
But house itself ok.

Everything we required was available to us. Only downfall was the beach access wasn't as easy as we had expected

Such a great little home that was exactly as advertised! Right across from easy beach access that was perfect for our kiddies. Perfect and highly recommended A++
