About this house rental
The Salty Mermaid is a two bedroomed fisherman's cottage, nestled in the heart of Whitstable's conservation area, just a stones throw away from the beach and town.
The space
On entering, you’ll find an open plan living/dining room with a log burner, Smart 48” screen TV, freesat, Netflix and DVD player. Should you wish to spend a quiet night in, there’s a choice of books, magazines, DVDs and games. Our fully equipped kitchen has a duel fuel oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee maker. For your convenience on arrival, there’s complimentary teabags, coffee pods, sugar and milk.
There’s a washing machine stored in the utility area which leads to the downstairs bathroom. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are all supplied.
The two bedrooms have double beds, luxury bedding and good wardrobe space. Each room has a hairdryer, large mirror and USB charging points.
The pretty, enclosed garden is a real sun trap and perfect for catching the last rays before you head off into town for the evening.

A nice property in good location, tv a bit dodgy and web site says 11am check out but host says 10am ? That needs changing. But over all a good stay, i would stay again.
4.7
The Salty Mermaid is a bright, clean two storey house, equipped with everything you need for a short stay at any time of year. The downstairs area felt very spacious and there are lots of books and games for those staying with families. It’s very close to all the shops. Worth noting that the bathroom is on the ground floor, for those who may need to go to the loo in the night !

The Salty Mermaid was delightful, beautifully appointed with thoughtful touches throughout. Would highly recommend.
