Big stars under a big yurt at the gateway to The Big Bend ! This heated and insulated beautifully decorated with west Texas and boho decor has beds to comfortably sleep four and has room to sleep additional guests upon request. Casa Estrella feels adventurous and unique just like the terrain of Far West Texas and when you break from the terrain you can enjoy wifi, smart tv, nice cool ac or a warm escape from the cool desert nights. Rest and relax in the true to western fashion clawfoot tub or shower under the stars in a “perfect for the dessert” outdoor shower. West Texas cuisine is just minutes away but if the yurt is where your hat hangs, Casa Estrella boasts a stocked kitchen for refueling and an outdoor grilling area for making nourishing meals for you and your fellow guest.

I live in San Angelo, but am available through text and message to answer any & all questions.
This property located close to town and easily accessible. You will have to drive down a narrow paved road, and there are two speedbumps (slow down). The unit is located behind a privacy fence built from 100+ year old fence posts repurposed for esthetics and maximum privacy without loosing the view.
Cerca del Cielo has a gravel circular drive and private/dedicated parking outside the yurt.
No smoking in our tiny home please ! You will be charged an additional $100 if you decide to smoke in the home to cover cleaning expenses.

The place was darling and well appointed. Highly recommend!

Property was GREAT! SUPER cute, cozy and well supplied! Location surroundings and directions to the property via GPS was the only drawback. Still, we felt safe and it was perfect for what we needed. Owner was great to communicate with.

This is our second time staying at this property. My husband and i stayed here in 2023 and loved it so much, we returned with our kids. Our kids absolutely LOVED it and didn't want to leave! We will definitely return again when we are in the area.

Surprisingly cozy and comfortable, this was my first time staying at a yurt. Super spacious and includes everything you need. Great host!

We absolutely loved our stay at Cerca del Cielo! Everything we needed was provided, and the place is even more charming than it looks on the pictures. It was nice to be nearby Alpine, which had everything we needed, but the neighborhood was quiet and we felt like we were away from it all. The loft was perfect for our kids, and we slept very well in the queen size bed. Our only regret was that we didn't get to spend more time there!

The Yurt was a vibe! We enjoyed our stay for the most part. The only suggestion Is to add privacy blinds because at night you can see inside the yurt if your lights on with the current blinds. And warning if you bring dogs that there are stickers all throughout the grass area. Thank you for our stay and good customer service.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay, my partner and I wanted somewhere other than a hotel to stay for our visit to big bend, and we were amazed by how clean and cute the property was and how communicative and helpful the owner was. Provided local recommendations, extra accommodations, and quick replies if we needed anything else! We’d love to stay again!

We stayed for one night only, but everything was exceptional. My son loved the place and wants to come back. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. The night got chilly, but heating was adequate. The host was very helpful and friendly on text before and during our stay. She even recommended places to eat and they were great! I would definitely recommend staying here.

The property is very nice, cozy, and inviting. There was plenty of room for the three of us to rattle around in. The decor is lovely, and the view was very nice. It is clean and comfortable.
We did think it was a little more removed from town than it is. It's actually less than a mile out of downtown and in the middle of a residential area complete with all the ambient noise associated with close proximity (dogs, cars, trains, etc.)
We still had a nice time and we're able to get in a night of stargazing. We made s'mores and roasted hotdogs, and the kid said it was a good birthday stargazing adventure.
I would absolutely recommend it if you're looking for something close to town for nice little getaway and aren't too bothered by noise.
Also, believe her when she tells you to bring slippers. My kid only forgot to put his on once. 😹

We had the most wonderful time during our stay! The yurt is better than the pictures, it is truly magical. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place was super clean and cozy! Alpine also has a very cute little downtown that is fun to wander around. The host was also great!! I would absolutely stay here again!!
