About this apartment rental
Welcome to your spacious place of tranquility in Washington Heights, Newburgh. Our sunlit three bed, two bath home with a full kitchen, dining room, and living room is furnished with our collection of new and vintage furniture.
This sought-after location overlooks the Hudson River with commanding views over the river and hills. Close enough to Newburgh center but far enough away to be restful and relaxing, it's the perfect location for your getaway.
We are continually working on our home (we're obsessed!) and will continue to make improvements and changes we hope you’ll love.
BEDROOMS: (1): En suite with a queen bed; (2) Full bed; (3) Full bed. All of our bedrooms have blinds and black-out curtains, and our duvets and pillows are down-alternative.
LIVING ROOM: West Elm sofa and a large TV comes with a Firestick as well as HDMI for you to hook up your computer or Apple TV. We have a collection of board games and cards and books in the cedar chest below the TV.
DINING ROOM: Separate dining room with table that seats 6
KITCHEN: We have a kitchen ready to cook with spices, oil, tea, and coffee.
BATHROOMS: En suite has a shower and the other bathroom has a tub.
WORK FROM HOME: Fast wifi plus a desk work station in front of a large window.
LAUNDRY: There is a washer and dryer in the basement, which you easily access through a private entrance from the unit.
PETS: We love pets! Please let us know if you have furry companions. Depending on length of stay, we may ask for a refundable pet deposit for major accidents. Please keep pets off of furniture to avoid extra cleaning fees. Please bring your own towel or use the special one provided to wipe their pawsbefore they come back inside. Please avoid letting them go to the bathroom on our lawn; the lawn edge around the sidewalks are fine. All poop must be picked up. There is a drawer in the kitchen with food and water bowls and a few supplies. :)
DIFFERENTLY-ABLED ACCESS: There are three stairs in the back to enter the unit but no stairs inside. There is a shower.
NEIGHBORS: There are renters in Unit 2 above you, so please be respectful of our quiet hours and say hi if you pass by :)
WHY NEWBURGH: Our city is in the midst of a revival like her sisters along the Hudson River. But we’re closer to NYC (less time in the car and more time having fun!) and our renaissance is being done to help ensure that no one is left behind. Just off of I-84, we have a stunning waterfront, hip stores and restaurants, and are close to Beacon, Kingston, and renowned outdoor activities.
OUR NEIGHBORHOOD: Washington Heights is an historic district that is quiet and safe, with gorgeous views of the Hudson and walkable to stores and restaurants on Liberty Street. There is plenty of free street parking right in front of our home so you can easily jump in your car to go antiquing, visit local art galleries, or spend time in the great outdoors. We rented this home for a stay after the night game at West Point. We didn't arrive there until late at night. Was clean and parking wasn't a problem with many spots open.

The beds are comfy. Water pressure and heat are great. Don’t plan on cooking or using much in the kitchen if you come. There are only 2 glasses, 2 sharp knives that aren’t very sharp, and maybe 5 or 6 forks. No hand towels for the kitchen at all. It is a poorly appointed kitchen but has a sink, stove/oven, microwave, and coffee pot. The yard is overgrown and has not been mowed in quite some time. The neighborhood reeks of pot. We won’t stay here again but it served our purpose for the long weekend.

This house was well maintained and in the perfect spot for us to be close to family without staying with them. The neighborhood is developing and the restaurants about a 5 minute drive were excellent.

In an older home with character, rooms are tastefully decorated and was very comfortable and spacious for a reunion of three friends. There are some really wonderful restaurants nearby. We didn’t walk in the neighborhood to restaurants mainly because we were there during a heatwave. I wish there had been at least one plastic ice tray in the empty freezer to make ice. And gave 4 stars for description because one of the bedrooms had only a fan and no AC. That particular room has a bay window making it difficult for a window unit, but perhaps a floor AC would be an improvement. Otherwise, we had a very fun visit together in this quaint home.

Home was comfortable and clean and the owners/property managers are timely communicaters and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet, but looks rough and is kind of sketchy. There was a skunk outside the property our last two evenings, which made for some excitement. Thankfully he left us alone.

What a sweet, cozy place. It was lovely as can be and incredibly charming. The amenities were beyond expectation and the “welcome-book” was incredibly helpful. Will definitely be back!

Visited Newburgh area with my husband, parents and two dogs. The apartment was clean and comfortable and communication with the hosts was excellent.

Check-in process was very easy. Home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We needed a place where my elderly mother could have her own room and shower she could get in and out of safely and this place fit the bill. Owners were very responsive to our concerns.

The house was perfectly located between the three facilities we came to visit. Hot showers, comfortable beds & wifi access just made our stay perfect. Thank you so much.

Was a nice getaway weekend. House was clean and neat and very homey!
We walked to a nice dinner right down the street the night of out arrival, then got a good night's sleep to get ready for the Army football game. Top bad it rained all day!!
Only downside was the heat wasn't working, but luckily, we really didn't need it too much - just wanted to get the chill of the rainy day off our bones. Hot showers worked well enough.
Owners were every responsive and a pleasure to interact with - and apologetic regarding the heat.

The kitchen is compact but worked just fine to cook for the six of us. We enjoyed the cute dining room area and the living room was comfortable. 2 of the bedrooms only have double beds which can be "cozy", we're all thin so no problems for us. The house is old so there's noises but nothing that was a problem. Overall it was perfect for our group.

The space was clean and comfortable. Even though it was the middle of summer the window AC units kept the space cool (although one bedroom doesn't have AC). The kitchen was well stocked and the living room comfy. The provided HDMI cord to hook up or own laptop was also appreciated.

Beautiful old home, nicely updated and decorated with period appropriate furnishings. PLENTY of room for the whole family to enjoy the stay. Street parking is a bit crowded but could usually get a spot within the immediate area of the house. Cool front porch, hopefully next time it won’t be in the 90’s so we can enjoy it more!

Ground floor apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one is an en-suite that we really appreciated. Just 3 steps to get into the apartment so it was doable with my mother who has trouble getting around.
Kitchen is well setup with all that we needed. Apartment was very clean with good quality furniture
Newburg is a quirky town, with a real interesting mix of neighborhoods and people
Hosts were great, and responded promptly to any questions
Overall it was a great stay, and would highly recommend!

Selected this apartment for its central and convenient location to the Hudson area. Hudson Taco and Ms Fairfax were our two favorite restaurants nearby. Benjamin is responsive and included lots of amenities to make our stay comfortable. The AC was very much appreciated and the place was spotless.

This lovely home perfectly suited the needs of my family and I, and actually exceeded our expectations. My spouse and I stayed for 2 nights with our teenage sons. They had a half-day of virtual school on our first morning and there was plenty of options of where to sit with excellent internet access. The house was beautifully kept, with ample supplies throughout. Appreciated the extension cords in every room. Location was wonderful for accessing restaurants, hiking trails and local sites in Newburgh and Beacon area. The hosts were responsive and helpful. We loved sitting on the sunlit porch for morning coffee. We would definitely stay again, and highly recommend booking this property.
