About this house rental
This private estate, Twin Coves, set on 30 acres, is the only property on the spectacular, half-mile-long, pink-sand beach of the same name, where the movie “Three – Survival Island” was filmed. Twin Coves is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, and it has some of the best snorkeling as well.
Originally built half a century ago in the grand style, this large and elegant estate has been completely renovated with modern comforts and conveniences. Twin Coves features a large and airy great room with walls of glass sliders that look out across the Grand Patio to the ocean on one side and the garden on the other. The dining area also features beautiful ocean views. The elegant library is equipped with a flat screen TV, a sofa and chair, and a work area with a desk. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with gas range, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator/freezer.
The Twin Coves main house has 3 bedrooms, two with king beds and ocean views, and a third with twin beds. Each bedroom has an en-suite bath. There is also a powder room off the kitchen. The fourth bedroom is in a cottage, suitable for a nanny or other staff, located 50 feet from the main house . It has a queen bed, a toilet, a sink, and a private outdoor shower.
Twin Cove's Grand Patio overlooks the beach and ocean, and barely 100 feet from the water. It’s a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening cocktail. Take in the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves lapping on the sand. The Grand Patio is furnished for relaxation or dining.
Amenities at Twin Coves include AC throughout, WIFI, satellite TV, washer/dryer, nespresso machine, gas grill, and a back-up generator.
Twin Coves is located just a mile from Governors Harbour, the main town on the island. Governors Harbour has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. . Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed.
Eleuthera is most famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The island, home to just 8000 residents, is famous for being safe. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. You can rent power boats, sailboats, sea kayaks, bikes. You can have a charter captain take you out for excursions of various types. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, many unique beaches, historic churches and 19th century homes, and small villages to explore. We hope you will enjoy Twin Coves Estate and experience all our island has to offer.
