Those seeking a well-appointed property just a short stroll from the waterfront of one of the most authentic fishing hamlets to be found along this stunning coastline will be hard-pressed to find a better location than this. Montmar enjoys a wonderfully convenient position on the road that leads into Tamariu, just 290m from the village centre and its delightful seafront, making a car a non-essential element of your holiday
Spread over two floors this charming Mediterranean home enjoys abundant natural light and a layout designed for easy living and relaxation. The ground floor incorporates a well-equipped kitchen that opens onto a smart, generously proportioned living/dining area, beyond which is a twin bedroom and a shower room. Upstairs you will find four comfortable bedrooms comprising two twin bedrooms, one double bedroom, a family bathroom and a master bedroom with en suite facilities.
If the enviable location is one highlight perhaps the second highlight is the spacious sunbathing terrace that spills out, via bi-fold doors from the indoor living area, to create an appealing inside-outside living space for children and adults alike. Large families or groups of friends who enjoy al fresco living will delight in the outdoor covered kitchen/bar, where a gas barbecue, mini fridge and sink make outdoor meals an enjoyable and fun experience. A collection of tables, chairs, and sunbeds for dining, lounging and sunbathing plus a table tennis table, dart board, and swimming pool provide for a fun-filled holiday; you can almost smell the intoxicating mix of suncream, chilled local wine and platters of freshly grilled prawns.
A pleasant stroll downhill, along the road that passes by the house, leads us to the centre of Tamariu; a pretty village tucked between two hills, the translucent waters of its bay sparkling varying shades of blue in the sunlight. Mass tourism has not reached this hidden gem but there is a small selection of shops and grocery stores plus a sprinkling of fine seafront restaurants. Boat and kayak hire are available on the charming sandy beach that curves around the bay in the shape of the croissant you will dip in your coffee after an early morning swim.
Air conditioning is £150 per week, payable in advance of your holiday if required. There are 22 steps from street level up to the house Property Licence No: HUGT-033952-23
Please note that all visitors to Catalunya, aged 17 and over, are required to pay a Tourist Tax of £7.00. We will add this amount to your booking.
