The staff were lovely. However, the building was 'tired' and I would imagine it would have been great in the eighties. New carpets to replace the threadbare area by the window in the restaurant would create a better first impression. Unable to open the window in my room which had an unpleasant odour. The carpet was stained and full of ripples from where it had stretched over the years.

This hotel was very spacious and the staff were very friendly and it is situated in a great area to access many places. The rooms were very big and clean.

Very warm welcome. Karen was so helpful and talked us through all options at the hotel and booked us a taxi, this lady could not be more helpful. The hotel was clean and the main areas have been under renovation and the whole hotel is due for upgrade. Our room was huge we had a double and a single. Good facilities in the room, although one pack of biscuits for three people didn’t seem fair. Bathroom was a little dated but clean. Lots of free car parking and WiFi was free. Overall good stay.

A decent enough hotel good value for money. The room was large and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Evening meals were average and a bit expensive for what was on offer. I would however stay there again.

Great staff and comfortable and clean room, super breakfast, and reasonable priced drinks. Plenty of parking available and close to Tiverton centre easy walk across Tesco carpark.

I stayed in room 10 and my first impressions were that it was a spacious room. The room was cold and uninviting. The window sill had paint peeling away and there was a draft from the window.
I requested a heater and it took ages for the heater to arrive and to then heat the room.
The towel rack in the bathroom was rusty.

The staff were very nice but the hotel was a little tired . Good location and easy parking . If I was Tiverton again i would stay there. Bed was very comfortable

Staff were very pleasant and helpful . Hotel was a little shabby in places eg wear on the stair carpet . A comfortable night beds were comfortable and it was quiet .

Excellent value for money. Clean, spacious, quiet, comfortable room. Good food. Pleasant staff. Only criticism was that the mattress was very soft. Not good for those with back peoblems.

Rooms were amazingly large but bathroom a little small. Need more english plugs especially either side of the bed. Food was very good. Staffs very attentive

Large double room, comfortable king-size bed and comfy pillows...really clean.
Interestingly, the only hotel where a Room for 2 had only One park of biscuits and only Ine sachet of chocolate drink too. So not a housekeeping mistake (or is it?).
However, it has two mugs, two teaspoons.
The bathroom has only two large fluffy towels.

Large king room mostly in very good condition, with a desk as well as a dressing table - a very comfortable nights sleep. Good tea and coffee making, ample towels, good shower.
Breakfast was varied with lovely pastries and sausages/bacon etc were NOT over-cooked and dry, as is often the case elsewhere.
Evening food looked very good indeed.

The staff are great. The hotel is tired and desperately needing a refit. There's not a lot of choice in Tiverton.

It’s a lovely hotel but on the first night at 4 :00am the fire alarm and as disabled we was left to our on devices and never told us that it was a fails alarm and left us in the rain what was not nice.
The rest of the three days was out of this world the staff was very helpful and so nice

My room was ok the view was ok but there was an unexpected fire alarm set off early one morning which was very annoying as I had work that day.This has happened a couple of times now during my stays there.

Great hotel, very convenient, but my room (22) along with the communal areas is in dire need of a refurb. It was like going back to the late 80's early 90's. Staff were friendly and the area is nice.

The room was fine for my one night stay, i didnt use facilities as it was only a 15 min walk or so into the town. The bathroom shower head was really small so it didnt throw much water out tbh. I was next to one of the exit doors, they do need a soft close on them as they did bang really loud, also could do with a fan as the window only opens about a few inches, it just needs a few tweeks.

We stayed here for a late overnight stay on our way to Plymouth. We couldn't check in until after 22.30 and this was not a problem as the hotel has a 24 hour reception. The room although a little dated was clean, a lovely size and my daughter and I had a wonderful night's sleep. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for breakfast as we needed to leave early to get to our destination, however the food on the menu did look appetising.
I would recommend this hotel, and it's definitely somewhere I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Rooms are a little outdated but it's adding a nice character to the room.
End of the day the room is spacious, super clean and comfortable bed.
Clean bathroom with supplies like hand wash, moisturiser and shower gel.
Coffee tea tray with yummy biscuits.

My room was quiet and comfortable. I appreciated that a bath was available, many modern hotels have done away with them.
The only disturbance was from noisy door closing, but most hotels get that wrong
