About this docked boat rental
Situated in the heart of Amsterdam, this classic Dutch live-aboard cruising boat offers a sense of adventure, comfort, and stunning views of the Amstel River. This is a unique stay in the heart of Amsterdam that you will never forget!
Exterior Features: The crown jewel of this boat is the 8-seater lounge area with 360 degrees view of a stunning bend in the River Amstel, in the historic heart of Amsterdam. With roll-up windows, you can enjoy the breeze in this space on a warm day, or keep the windows closed when it’s cooler and comfortably enjoy the beauty of life on the water.
Interior Features: Inside the cabin, the boat has a large interior with high ceilings, boasting a fully-equipped kitchen with a four-burner stovetop, hot water, heating, a fridge, and a dining area. There is a comfortable separate sleeping area for two, and the dining area also converts into a bed for two more. The boat also features lovely classic lighting, ample storage for luggage and personal items, weather monitoring equipment, and a complete sound system.
Boat life is an adventure in urban camping, and as such, there’s a private toilet onboard, but no shower. There is a sink on board with hot water, but if you want a shower, fear not — we have a host of suggestions where you can shower very nearby.
In the Area: You don't have to go anywhere to enjoy Amsterdam— everything happens right here. Many long afternoons have been enjoyed in the boat’s exterior lounge with a lovely glass of wine enjoying the view of life going by. But if you fancy a wander around the neighborhood, many classic landmarks of Amsterdam are only a few steps away: the famous view of the Zuiderkerk that Monet painted is across the canal; the legendary “crooked” houses of Amsterdam are in front of the boat; just around the corner is one of the most popular squares in Amsterdam, Rembrandt Square, and a few steps further is the majestic castle-like Nieuwemarkt Square. Restaurants, museums, boats, and tulips are all about.
Public transport is right in front of your doorstep, with a direct connection to Amsterdam Central Station and to the most famous museums and other sights.
As this is a classic ship with a loving and careful renovation, smoking is not allowed on the boat. However, you can easily step outside the boat and smoke on the terrace or the street.
We’re glad to have you stay! Welcome to Amsterdam and to authentic boat life!

This houseboat is not fancy - but it is as comfortable as being at a friend's cabin - we didn't want to leave. We had not stayed in Amsterdam before, so wanted our first few nights to be something unique. The boat was perfect! It was close walking to everything, yet it was quiet and relaxing once inside. Watching the crowded tourist boats traverse the river was a fun diversion. Our friends staying in a hotel were jealous of the roominess experienced on the boat. While we didn't cook, the kitchen was perfect for cheese, bread and wine.
Definely recommend for those that don't want to be in a big bustling hotel, yet close to the action.

This houseboat is a nice change for a short stay, pricey but fun. The amenities are good, the furniture comfortable, the location convenient, and you can’t beat being right on the water. It’s a heavy tourist area, with lots of late night revelry and boat tours, ducks, swans and even a pair of herons, all at eye level. The owner is helpful with questions, no complaints about response time. Extra bedding would be good since we like to sleep with windows open and heat turned down, and the tiny “porches” felt pretty unsteady. Other than that, a delightful getaway.

The houseboat was very comfortable with large water level windows looking into the river. We would wave and smile at the sightseeing boats as they went by. We enjoyed the boat parade everyday. The boat does move with the wakes so sometimes it felt like a California earthquake. It took a day to get used to. The bed was very comfortable. It is in busy tourist area with a nightlife so you may want earplugs if you are a light sleeper. We enjoyed drinking champagne and having wine and cheese with the doors open in the evening people and bird watching and then all over again with coffee and pastries in the morning. There are markets and shops in walking distance and a tram stop very close that gets you anywhere. The rental team were responsive and accommodating which we appreciated. We really enjoyed ourselves and thought we had the best view of Amsterdam from the houseboat. Hope you will create lifetime memories of this fun and interesting city also. Just be careful of the darn bikes.

We stayed here for three nights. Should have been one more but for the misssed connecting flight to Amsterdam. The management offered to cancel our reservation and I am very glad we didn’t take them up on the offer. The house is central to everything. Rembrandt square and the cafes are just a block away. There is a little floating platform right in front of the large living room windows where you can sit right on the canal and observe the boats passing by. The manager was very resposive and shared lots of advices on how best to get here. Currently the street leading to the house is closed as it is being repaired.

This houseboat is in a great location, we walked all over Amsterdam from here. The kids loved it and we loved being directly on the canal. The group was very responsive to all of my questions about getting in and out of the city. It was great!

We didn’t want to leave the houseboat. Far superior to any hotel experience I have had in Amsterdam. Everything clean and working, bathroom is large and functional, kitchen has everything needed. Bed was comfortable, couch bed was fine.
Would rent again next time for sure.

This place was exactly what we were expecting and more! There was quite the incident the day of our arrival, as someone knocked out the power to 28k customers in the area. It took overnight to finally get the power going, but we managed. The owner was very communicative with us and that was appreciated it. Other than that, the stay was absolutely incredible. If you like being in the action, this is definitely the spot for you. Rembrandtplein is always buzzing with activity. Yes, the boat is wide open to the canal, but who cares? There are plenty of curtains to close if you really feel like hiding from the world. No need, we actively enjoyed waving at tour boats that were streaming by the window. It was great to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sights and sounds. Everything is well appointed and functional. We would absolutely stay here again!
