Make your home right on the water at this Hood Canal hideaway. Complete with fantastic waterfront views, this home also boasts a separate cabin across the street built directly over the water or beach, depending on the tide! Nestled just outside Union, this quiet escape is perfect for a restful retreat amongst the splendor of the Pacific Northwest. Spend your days hiking, fishing, or just relaxing at home while enjoying the views. Grab one of the provided kayaks or stand-up paddleboard and paddle out from right in front of the property - head to the estuary where Hood Canal meets the Skokomish River just a few minutes away. Alderbrook Golf Course Resort & Spa is within three miles of your front door. The property's location also makes a great home base for day trips to Olympic National Park. A private hot tub offers rejuvenating soaks after the day's adventures.

The bright interior features stylish, mid-century throwback decor and comes fully furnished for contemporary comfort. Large windows showcase the views in the main living area, with plush armchairs and a leather sectional positioned to take advantage of the vistas. A separate den features a sofa and a smart TV for family movie nights. The well-appointed full kitchen comes equipped for home cooking - or enjoy the gas grill right outside.

The historic bonus cabin was built in the 1940s and is utterly unique in this area. It was featured on the cover of the 1977 Union telephone book, which you can find on display inside. The cabin makes the ideal hangout for round-the-clock leisure with a convenient wet bar area for happy hour drink and snack prep convenience. There's also a bulkhead beach area with a firepit and a small space for lawn games or sunbathing.

Enjoy sunsets from the deck in the summer, or watch the ducks, eagles, and seals from closer up than anywhere else on the canal.

Home essentials include free WiFi and a private washer/dryer. A sleeper sofa in the boat house provides extra lounging space.

We had a great stay here. The house is spacious and very clean, beautiful view from the living room and kitchen. The boathouse across the street on the beach is really special, we enjoyed talking wine out and watching sunsets there. There are 2 kayaks available for use and life jackets available too. We didn't use the hot tub but we put the kitchen to great use and it was well stocked. My only criticism would be some road noise but that was definitely not a major problem and wouldn't deter me from staying here again. This is a really great place, highly recommend!

Great getaway for my husband and I. Wish the hot tub was covered so we could enjoy it when it was raining/snowing. And it was closw to the road, not very private and not a clear set up for access to and from the house. Wish there was a tv in the bedrooms to enjoy a movie. But we had a lovely time.

The view is gorgeous. Whomever designed the interior of this place has exceptional taste in vintage mid-century modern decor. Its full of gorgeous authentic late 1950's and early 1960's furniture in impeccable condition. The knives in the kitchen were actually sharp and all of the cooking accoutrements were really high quality (Kitchenaid, etc.). The jacuzzi was wonderful to relax in while watching the sun set. The house itself isn't anything particularly special, but it's been done up very well and was incredibly clean. We appreciated the soft towels, and while we didn't end up using the washer and dryer, it was great to have. The TV with surround sound was a treat to watch a movie on. The little cottage across the road on the water is charming, but musty, and we didn't end up using it since it was just the two of us. Overall, no notes! Other than trying to convince the Vacasa property management group to allow us an 11:00 a.m. check-out time (they said no), it was absolutely flawless!
