About this house rental
Welcome to Milton Manor, a spacious sun-lit 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home nestled at the end of a panoramic tree-lined street in the prestigious Marina del Rey/Mar Vista neighborhood. Not only is it convenient to essentially everywhere on the Westside like Venice Beach, Santa Monica, LAX, the Getty, etc, but it is also only a 10 - 15 minute bike ride away from the breathtaking Playa del Rey beach via the Balboa Creek bike path which happens to be right by the front door.
The approximately 2,000 square foot house itself has been recently remodeled from head to toe by world-renowned interior designer/architect Justin Brooks (famous for being Starbucks' top designer) and features an elegant yet simplistic open floor plan that is contemporary yet retains its old-world charm and ambiance.
Featuring real hard wood floors, recessed lights, granite counter tops and marble/travertine bathrooms, luxury was the primary aim of its designers and no expense was spared in making this home top notch. There are 2 uniquely themed bedrooms each with a queen sized bed and one master bedroom with a king bed in which the closet is owner occupied but every other closet is empty. The neighborhood itself is extremely quiet and its double-paned windows offers even further insulation from the outside world. Together with its small but tranquil garden, this allows guests to carve out their own peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.
We can also accommodate for daily/weekly cleaning services, grocery pickup, shuttle services for additional fees. Please inquire if you have any needs not listed, or are interested in any additional services.
Absolutely NO loud parties or gatherings allowed.
COVID-19 MEASURES: Your safety is our top priority. Rest assured that we have taken every step necessary to ensure a clean, sanitary environment for all our guests. While nothing can be 100% sterile, we religiously hot wash every sheet, wipe down every surface, and disinfect each unit before and after every guest checks in.

Communication was consistent and clear with the owner and manager from the beginning. We got there early because our flight was early and we wanted to have somewhere to unload our luggage. The manager was understanding but the cleaner was there 15 minutes pass check in. It was definitely clean though:) The place was nice! The finishes were modern and sleek. It was a smidge older than it looked on the pictures but it didn’t have any barring on the quality of the house. The backyard was quaint and comfortable with shade all throughout to really enjoy it. We were there for my mother’s funeral services and after the repast, a few of the patrons of the service came by. We talked and laughed about old times with mom. I walked a few people out and saw the neighbor pull up slowly into their driveway. Next thing I know, the owner called and said there were some complaints saying we were loud and it wasn’t even 10pm. You should be able to talk and laugh in your backyard and or driveway without a complaint at those early hours (5–10pm). There wasn’t even any music. Again, the owner was understanding but I probably would have saved the call until after 10pm. All in all, it was great. The master bedroom had an incredible bed. We have a super comfortable bed at home and we’ve stayed in many top rated places and no bed has compared to home until now. This may have beat ours. Thanks again for letting us stay in your home. For the neighbor, it’s LA, close quarters, relax, mind your business.

The house was spacious with ample room to accommodate our extended family of five. We also liked that the house was in close proximity to the LAX airport to easily depart after our trip.

Great location and nice area. Place is nicely decorated and cute backyard/porch. Lots of room inside. However, kitchen was not clean and aging cabinets/pans/utensils. Counters were sticky. Dishwasher didn't seem to work well. Very few hand towels and no kitchen towels. There really needs to be a bannister on the stairs. Body wash was out in one bathroom and no extra shampoo etc. But, overall, excellent communication with manager who was very gracious. I still recommend the place that only needs a few improvements to be stellar.

When you are traveling with family, it's great to stay in one house. There are more conversations, more laughs and more family time. This house was great, 3 bathrooms (great for families) a great kitchen and comfortable beds. There is a walking/biking path across the street I didn't use often enough. Great location to everything! Thanks

Large enough for a family, kitchen fully stocked, kitchen island and eating area plus a formal dining room.
Hand rails at stairs would be a plus.
Quiet area.

Our family of five (parents, young adults and high schooler) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The spacious layout suited our needs so that we could both enjoy each other’s company and recharge as needed. As an early riser traveling with late sleepers, this was ideal. I especially enjoyed peaceful homemade breakfasts outdoors in the beautiful private backyard. My sons and husband loved playing pool.
The house is located on quiet, safe residential street and is approximately 3.5 miles from the Venice Beach boardwalk. It feels like a refuge after a day of exploring L.A. We had a rental car which we used quite a bit, mixed with a bit of UBER use. It was very helpful to be able to park the car in the driveway. All in all, this rental house was a fantastic place to vacation. While not in the heart of say, walking distance from Santa Monica’s offerings, the ample space to relax, cook, sleep in or wake up early, all while being a short distance from wherever we wanted to go, was SO much better than being crammed into a hotel room.

I rented the house in the middle of August. Nowhere in the description of the rental did it say this house does not have air conditioning. All the windows were open and it felt like it was 100 degrees in the house when I got there. Sweated the whole time, terrible trip

My extended family stayed in this home for two weeks over the holidays. The home was large enough to comfortably accommodate everyone. The property is located about 12 minutes from LAX. It’s very close to Westchester, Playa Vista, Marina Del Rey, and Venice. The neighborhood is quiet and it is close to parks, restaurants, and grocery stores. The property manager Terrence was very pleasant to work with. He was a great communicator and easy to get a hold of. Overall my family had an enjoyable stay at this property.

Very nice property. Nice and cozy! Loved the house. The layout and the element of the home were just what was needed to come back to from the hustle and bustle of the LA area. The only thing I would suggest since the floors are so nice, a swiffer sweeper of some sort. As a mother and woman of the house at home I sweep everyday weather it’s needed or not just just for crumbs and hair since I have long hair and so do my girls. So I used my socks and would go through and collect anything that found the floor. Other then that it was a pleasure to stay this home.

The house wasn't really clean, had a really bad odor in the kitchen area, smelled similar to a basement. I went to the store and grabbed Clorox wipes and literally wiped the entire house down. I was traveling with my family, my husband and two small children. On Saturday, we were preparing to go to a wedding, PROBLEM< there was no iron. We searched the entire house for an iron. No iron in sight. I texted the owner, he says that the iron should be in one of the closets... WE CHECKED ALL AREAS. Still no IRON. I texted him and let him know that we did not locate the iron, and he didn't text back. Husband had to call an UBER just to go get an iron... We were late to the wedding. Saturday after the wedding reception, we arrive back at the house (the house has a key-less entry and you must enter by code) I enter the code provided and the door doesn't open, I had my baby in my arms so I asked my husband to try, it didn't open for him either. I double check my HomeAway app to be sure we are entering the right code, and WE ARE ENTERING THE RIGHT CODE. Still the door doesn't open and the number pad didn't even light up. We continued to try another 8 times. Still no success. I call the owners cell phone, no answer. Its only 10:30pm at the time so I assumed its Saturday he should answer... nah I was wrong, no answer at all. I text, no reply. I then called HomeAway, they attempted to contact the owner, no success. I am really frustrated, two small kids standing outside in the dark and its cold. HomeAway recommends to try waiting for the owner to reply. We call another UBER to pick us up, we went to the nearest Walgreens to literally stand around in the store (stranded) for an hour, still no reply. I call HomeAway again, they finally tell me to check into a hotel, its now after 12AM so Homeaway couldnt assist with cost. Also to mention, the first 9 hotels we tried were all booked. We did not check into a hotel until 2:35AM in the morning, my babies were so tired, and irrie. Local Hotels had rates high as the heavens. 9:00AM the next morning the owner texts back. Long story short, our flight was at 8:20AM, we missed our flight..... we did not gain access to the house until 10:00am. The owner provided the location of the house key that was hidden. As soon as we entered the house, we only had time to pack our things and head to airport, only to pay an additional money for the next available flight. The owner only reimbursed us 25.13 % of one nights rate, WOW!
