THE SPACE

☆☆ BEDROOMS ☆☆

MAIN FLOOR

Tucked just inside the front door and laundry area, you’ll find two spacious bedrooms with plenty of room to spread out with two rooms that include a king bed and two twin beds.

Through the open concept living room and kitchen space, you’ll find the primary bedroom. The primary bedroom brings together a luxurious king bed, windows overlooking the woods, two nightstands with bedside lamps, a massive walk-in closet, as well as its own private bath.

Just outside the primary bedroom, you’ll find two separate living room spaces, dining table, four-season porch, as well as the deck overlooking the woods and fire pit.

LOWER LEVEL

As you head downstairs, you’ll find yourself amazed by how spacious Starkhaus truly is, as the lower level has an additional bedroom.

Downstairs two queen beds await with plenty space to spread out. All bedrooms feature luxury-grade plush bedding and smart TV’s.

There are three bathrooms spread throughout the home, offering plenty of space for your group.

Just outside the first two bedrooms on the main floor sits a standalone bathroom with a full walk-in shower.

Down the hall in the primary bedroom sits the primary ensuite bathroom; offering an expansive jacuzzi tub, as well as a separate walk-in where you can enjoy a hot shower.

On the lower level awaits yet another full bathroom with a double vanity, as well as a third walk-in shower.

All bathrooms will pamper you with complimentary toiletries including all the essentials like hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner from our favorite brands.

☆☆ KITCHEN & LOUNGE ☆☆

There are many great restaurants just minutes away, but on days you want to cook at home, the open-concept kitchen has everything you need to create delicious meals. It features modern touches like a subway-style backsplash, expansive counter space, custom cabinets, a large sink, whisper-quiet dishwasher, and kitchen appliances like a toaster, oven/stove, microwave, and multiple coffee maker options to suit every java lover's dreams. If you’re feeling extra Wisconsin-y, head outside to the deck, where you’ll have access to a full propane grill for those nights you feel like cooking up some burgers and brats.

The warm and welcoming living room centers around a classic yet modern fireplace that adds a warm glow to the room on those chilly evenings. There's a mounted flat-screen TV just above, and the plenty of soft seating to ensure everyone gets the best seat in the house. Pop some popcorn and enjoy a family movie night together.

Downstairs on the lower level, you’ll find additional lounge space with a full pool table, bumper pool, shuffleboard, checkerboard, wet bar, and a full living room space with additional soft seating and smart TV.

The home sits secluded in the woods just north of downtown Sister Bay and offers a quiet and peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. A cozy, shaded two-level deck embraces the nature of northern Door County, and is the perfect place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee in the vibrant air. Step off the deck into the backyard where you’ll experience the crackle of a freshly lit campfire.

After requesting your reservation, you will receive a notification to complete our Rental Agreement, confirming the terms and conditions of your stay at Starkhaus, which you will be able to execute digitally.

When you stay at Starkhaus, you’ll have the property entirely to yourself. Take advantage of the amenities available; bring your laptops, connect to the high speed WiFi, get work done before you play, and use the full-size washer and dryer in the private laundry room to stay on top of your laundry.

Starkhaus can only accommodate up to four (4) vehicles, and you’ll be given a digital key code to access the property. Please note that the Village of Sister Bay only allows up to (4) vehicles on property at any given time; if your group has more than 4 vehicles, we recommend coordinating carpooling on your way to Door County.

From here, you’re less than five minutes from the local grocery store, gas stations, coffee shops, locally-owned shops, ice cream shops, and some of the area’s most popular shops and restaurants. You’re also a short drive from beaches, parks, playgrounds, walking & hiking trails, and nature centers.

Starkhaus lives inside a quiet and remote neighborhood just north of downtown Sister Bay. There are homes nearby, but the property has a very secluded feel to it. The home does share a driveway with the neighboring cabin.

Starkhaus can only accommodate up to four (4) vehicles. The driveway is shared, so from time to time, guests could expect to move cars around to ensure that guests or owners of the neighboring cabin can also access the driveway easily. The neighborhood is private and quiet, and is within walking distance to downtown Sister Bay.

Starkhaus went through a large renovation in early 2023 that offers guests tons of new and improved experiences for their stay. Our home offers your family modern comforts through brand new luxury mattresses, three gorgeous and private bathrooms, and a comfortable open kitchen, dining room, game room, and multiple living room spaces.

The home is ideally located 2 minutes north of downtown Sister Bay, and our property is easily walkable to downtown. We can provide answers to questions on how to walk to town.

Starkhaus can only accommodate up to four (4) vehicles. However, we do share a driveway with another property, and it will be required that vehicles for guests at Starkhaus stay on our side of the driveway and, in the event it’s needed, cars may be asked to be moved to accommodate property owner’s or guests at the neighboring property. Starkhaus does have two external cameras monitoring the driveway as well as the fire pit, and also uses noise monitoring systems to monitor the noise on property.
