We loved staying in such a historic building! I enjoyed meeting and being shown round by Anna, one of the owners.. The garden with its wonderful view was very romantic. The church was amazing. Being in the centre of the village was very useful. The Trattoria was closed(Tuesday) but the local bar rustled up a pasta supper!
WiFi was poor...but what do you expect? Its a CASTLE! You must embrace " The old days!"

A wonderful place, very good balance between old and new, very tastefully interior.
The outdoor furniture were a bit worn out and not so comfortable.

We loved our stay at this unique castle, Francesca was an amazing host and she gave us a full tour of the castle with all it's history, which was much appreciated. It truly was a memorable place to stay and we really enjoyed our night there. Thanks for having us!

Wonderful place to stay in Piedmont. The atmosphere is magic! It’s like to be in a fairy tale. Charming accommodation, very cosy and comfortable. The gardens are fabulous. A gem in Piedmont running by the lovely sisters not far from Barolo, Alba, Asti and Porto Fino. Definitely would love to come back.

The castle was amazing and the sisters were super friendly. They gave us many tips on what we could do in the area and we got a tour through the wine cellar which was very cool.

This old castle is just beautiful….full of charm, history and comfort. It is owned and operated by 5 sisters. They produce their own DOCG bio wine and also host weddings and large parties. Anna gave us a tour and shared some of the history of the castle. There is a HUGE cantina which makes for a lovely and unique place for dancing and partying. The gardens are beautiful and relaxing. What a perfect place for a wedding! We stayed in a suite that was very comfortable, while maintaining the historical character. Breakfast was lovely. This area is very popular for cyclists. They have a bike hostel and wine bar next door! Great hotel, village, hospitality and area. I highly recommend Costello di Rocco Grimalda.
The fact we had to leave.

Extraordinary accomodation, great hosts, we had booked for 4 (two rooms but we did not remember of) but our son dropped out and they gave us a room for 3 and reimbursed us one room voluntarily, without having been asked.

Astounding place. Our private apartment at the top of the Renaissance tower was enormous, overlooking the roofs of the village out far into the countryside, loftily set under magnificent wooden beams, with tasteful interior decoration, two beautiful bathrooms (for each bedroom) lodged in the circular towers with medieval crossbow slots overlooking the stunning park. Extra points for the wall-sized map of Paris from 1749, which I spent hours inspecting the intricacies (I'm from Paris originally) Our hostess was very kind and helpful, going out of her way explaining to us where to find various points of interest in Genoa (45 minutes away) including the best ice cream shop in the city. Breakfast was copious and set in a lovely room off the stunning historical reception hall. All in all, We didn't stay long enough, I would go back in a heartbeat. A great privilege.
Only downside is that wifi was available only in a corner of the inner courtyard. Understandable, because walls are so thick, but there should be a way to broaden the reach into the rooms (thinking of devolo wifi extenders, for example). Not a constraint for us because we weren't there to surf on Netflix, though. Too much beauty around to waste time on a screen...

Historical castle built by the Grimaldi family, now owned by six sisters, made our stay to a wonderfull experience
