The property is in a cool location, with great views of the McKenzie River. Furniture in the living room is not great or that comfortable. The most disappointing aspect of the listing was the Hot Tub. This is a main reason we booked the property, but when we opened the hot tub cover we were very disappointed. Tree branches, sticks, pine needles were everywhere. Water was dirty and ice cold. The pictures of the hot tub in the listing are totally inaccurate from what we experienced.

We had alot of issues with our stay. The gutter and fence where broken, the hot tub was dirty and unusable, the house was not cleaned, the shower handle was broken so you couldnt adjust the temperature, and the appliances like the coffee pot was to dirty to even use. We did get a partial refund but I would have rather had a good vacation.

We enjoyed the view of the river and beautiful country side. It was so quiet (except for sound of a few cars on nearby road but bedrooms are on other side of house and a light sound machine and you couldn't hear them). Also not too far from town and easy to get too. Too cold/rainy for hot tub but enjoyed deck and sunroom. Clean, nice furniture, definitely stay there again.

Love the view of the river in the morning and the evening in front of fire pit.

The hot tub was listed as an amenity, when i got there it was cold and full of leaves and clearly not clean, when I reached out to the chat it was unhelpful it just kept saying that they would get back to me. I was on the phone several times and when I finally was told to call verbo rather than vacasa they tried to cover their tracks by taking the hot tub off of the amenities list. I luckily took pictures of every place that it said it was listed the day I arrived just to make sure, and im glad i did. I could not believe that I had to send the proof via email that it was on the listing when they had just removed it hours prior in order to get a refund for the amenity. If I hadn't thought ahead they very well could have gotten away with saying I was the one who was lying. This house itself was not too bad, the beds were clean and the house looked like the pictures. As far as other issues, There were so many dead flies on the floor, a stink bug problem and a finicky shower nob, the basement smelled like cats. There was no privacy to the porch from the main bedroom or the bathroom as both had large windows with no blinds, so people could fully see half your body in the shower if they were on the porch.
If you are fine with all that, give it a stay I suppose.

This home is makes you feel like you're miles away from it all. Granted you are next to a semi-busy road, but the river in the backyard makes up for it. Inside is cozy, clean, and comforting. We have already made plans to stay at this home again during the warmer months!

Rustic Cabin. Great view off the sunroom. Ask to start the hot tub before you arrive. Pack warm clothes in the colder months.

We loved our stay at this property. The owner is very thoughtful in providing us with the telescope and binoculars. We could get a beautiful view of the super full moon and watch birds and deers from the deck. The location of the property is perfect and close to downtown and target as well. Only one suggestion that we have is to have curtains on the bathroom window. If someone is using the shower its all visible for folks on the deck which was uncomfortable when we traveled with extended family.

This house had a great view of the river. My friends and I enjoyed the view from the hot tub as the sun was rising. The house is warm and cozy.

We enjoyed our stay at the house, with the river rushing just outside of the back yard. Great location for exploring hikes on the McKenzie river and into the Cascades. The house was more than enough room for two of us and our dog, and the king bed was great.
The house is just off the road, so do expect some road noise, although at night it's pretty quiet. Also, the fenced yard was great for our dog, but parts of the yard are overgrown, so there's not a ton of room for them to run around. Nonetheless, we really appreciated having a yard for the dog.

This house was a great place for my brother and I to relax for a few days. The home was clean and bright, with a great sunroom facing the river and south facing windows in the bedrooms. It is a bit drafty but has lots of heater options and plenty of lap blankets for sitting on the decks on winter mornings with your coffee. The front and side doors both open into a fenced yard which was great for our dog, and we didn't worry about the road being right there at all. From the deck side of the house you can't even hear the road and all you can see is beauty. The hottub is smallish, good for 3 people or so, but was a real treat. Even with its rural feel, there are good restaurants within delivery distance, the wifi works fine, and the country market down the road has all the essentials you could need. The kitchen is totally set for cooking, just bring your own perishables and coffee/tea. It sleeps 3-4 people comfortably. I'm looking forward to staying there again in a warmer time of year and taking advantage of the river access for fishing!

The house and property were great. However, dealing with Vacasa was another matter. It took four (4) phone calls – over 3 days – to receive the rental/home care instructions. I was unable to access my email and had asked Vacasa to re-send to my husband’s email. Apparently, this was too much for them! In fact, the first person with whom I spoke was argumentative and implied that I was not being honest.
Also, there were dirty/unkempt areas in the home and on the property. For example, the oven had crusty food items on the bottom and, in the toaster oven, the pan was dirty and greasy. There were crumbs and other debris in the kitchen drawers. Outside, a big pot lid was stuck in the foliage right by the driveway.
I took pictures of all these items and am happy to send.
Thank you.

Actually, I'm Jill M's uncle who stayed in this house, which Jill booked for me. The house has its share of eccentricities and imperfections, to be sure, but they only add to its appeal. The location is spectacular; the McKenzie River is within rock-throwing range, and nothing beats being lulled to sleep by riversong. (And a comfy bed, of course.) The rate we paid for this rental was quite reasonable too. My only criticism - and it's pretty minor - regards the TV; we found no fewer than five remote control devices, and we couldn't figure out how to make any of them work properly, which meant no TV for the duration of our stay. (A set of written instructions would have been helpful, guys.) But we weren't in Springfield to watch TV, so no big loss. Overall, an easy five stars.

If you want to have access to the McKenize river for fly fishing, THIS is the place. Every window facing the river is stunning! My husband caught(released) several beautiful 16 Inch trout. Saw deer meandering on the property, bald eagles flying by. House is really cute, clean and has all the necessities. Everything in the home is simple/nothing fancy but just what we were looking for. What truly makes this rental amazing is the property..Easy access to the river that can waded in for fishing, many producing fruit trees/grapes that the owner allowed us to sample and a kinda wild garden to wander, fenced yard great for dog and kid, hot tub is a nice touch. It basically felt like a home, not a rental. The road that the house sits on is close but the river drowns out any car noises 😁. We had a relaxing and fun time here. I gave 4.5stars (my husband gave it 5)only because it didn’t have high end touches (towels /linens,etc) and the couch in the living room is horrible. Seriously, so uncomfortable you can’t sit on it. My husband spent hours in the sitting room (pic with blue vaulted ceilings) sipping wine, watching the river/wildlife, listening to the occasional rain. (Californian..what IS rain?) We would definitely rent this house again and so appreciative to have stayed here.

The river front house is located about 15-20 minutes from Eugene, on a country road with a fair amount of traffic. The house is very close to the road, so some road noise. Also very close the the beautiful McKenzie River. The best part of the house is the sun porch. The deck needs repairs, and the grill is labeled as a fire hazard. Might need some work.
It looks like the owners turned their crossing l fishing cabin into a rental project, but didn't finish the job. Might be nice to have coffee and tea available for the morning ok that porch.
The finished basement has a laundry area, but was too spooky for my kids. Also, owners should lock up their garage storage area.
