About this house rental

Get away from it all in this spacious, charming, serene cottage nestled in a private acre of forest. This quiet neighborhood is just 1.5 miles up the hill from Flathead Lake, 3 miles from all the amenities of Bigfork. Perfectly appointed with every comfort, truly your home away from home. Fully remodeled in 2023, this 100% private home for guests has a fully stocked kitchen, beautiful forest, lake, and mountain views, an elegant master suite, an extra family room/loft, luxury bedding/bath products, and climate control. Restoration awaits!

We’ve got a Public Accommodations License from Flathead County for six overnight guests, determined simply by bedroom count. Our place has three extremely comfortable memory foam king mattresses (one in each bedroom) plus one queen memory foam sofa bed in the upstairs loft. We’ve also got a Pak n Play and a crib mattress with bedding for your little ones.

Speaking of the loft… what a sweet spot. Games, TV, books, toys, puzzles, bean bag, art supplies. A happy place for every age.

Love being outside? Four patios to choose from, a gas BBQ with every tool, outdoor dining furniture and dishes, and don’t forget to turn on the string lights. Insider’s tip: The sun sets over Flathead Lake, in the front yard, and there’s nothing like that glow. Plus lots of critters to watch and trees all around. Truly home sweet home!

Special occasion? Holiday fan? Let us know if you’d like a special set up- groceries, décor, balloons, flowers, celebratory drinks and dessert, and more.

Travelling with a young family? Booster/high chair, outdoor kids’ picnic table, DVD’s, sippy cups and kid friendly foodware await you. Beware the stairs- you’re welcome to use the two baby gates. And, if your kids are like ours, they will love climbing on the rocks and watching the wildlife in the yard! We just ask that you keep an eye on them. While our place is equipped for children, it is NOT kid- or baby-proofed. (Imagine a non-parent wrestling with a baby-locked cabinet on their vacation…no thank you!)

Travelling with friends? You will love our upstairs/downstairs floor plan! Downstairs features a master suite in the back and king bedroom plus bathroom in the front, while upstairs features a king bedroom, full bathroom, and living room loft. So all guests will enjoy the accommodations and privacy they require for a true vacation.

Staying awhile? Lots of adventures planned? Our spacious, fully appointed laundry room can handle the dirt of your outside fun.

Love to cook? Harvest Market is just a few minutes away, and this kitchen has all you need to prepare a wonderful meal, a gorgeous charcuterie spread, or delectable baked goodies. And, when you’re finished, let the brand new Bosch dishwasher do the washing up for you.

Don’t wanna cook? No problem! We have a list of favorite restaurants for you. I promise you, there are enough fabulous spots to keep you fed and watered for weeks with no repeats.

Outdoor afficionado? The possibilities are endless. Water sports on a plentitude of lakes and rivers, snow sports in the winter, so much hiking, horseback riding, fishing, cycling, off-roading, zip lining, lavender ranch, cherry orchards, and more. Whitefish and Glacier National Park are only 45 minutes away, but you could fill a week in Bigfork alone!

Foodie? Shopper? Downtown Bigfork has what you’re looking for! Gourmet restaurants, lovely, quaint boutiques, lots of art…and when you’re ready for more, just head to downtown Whitefish and Kalispell.

Nightlife? Oh, yes. We have that here. From downtown Bigfork just 3 miles away to Woods Bay to Somers to Kalispell to Whitefish, there are too many bars, pubs, and distilleries to list. Live music is well loved here too.

Love to snuggle up? Five streaming, HD Smart TV’s you can log into and access all your favorites. Or pick from an array of old school DVD’s! Plenty of soft blankets and pillows are ready for you.

Boaters! RV’ers! We’ve got two double long driveways that will make parking your boat trailers and travel trailers a snap.

Gotta stay in touch with work? There are two desks- one in the front bedroom and one in the hallway. High speed wifi and cell signal. Just promise you’ll only work as much as you have to.

A few other random things we love here- the coffee, the rodeos, and the stars! There are coffee stands and shops allll over, most are local, and they are delicious. Check out the Majestic or the Blue Moon for frequent rodeos. Bigfork has some too! And, the stars- hard to compete with the twinkle in these skies. For best viewing, unplug the string lights and keep your phone off so your night vision is at its peak performance. (Sorry, did we mention the Aurora Borealis? We can see that here- try the Aurora Pro app for a heads up on best viewing days/times.)
New to the area? We live here in the valley, and we’re happy to share local travel tips.

If you’re looking for ease, fun, relaxation, a true retreat…you’ve found it here at RESTORE. Don’t stay in a bland, tight hotel room when you can have the full Montana experience in this charming cottage in the woods! Come RESTORE in Montana!

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with our daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter. The house was a perfect floor plan for all of us. The house had all of the amenities and was well. appointed. We loved the location and watching the wildlife including many deer. The owners made sure it was a fabulous vacation for all of us. We would love to stay there again!
