Was a nice place to relax!
2.0
First off, the host was friendly and helpful. Additionally, check-in was easy and the property was relatively clean. We enjoyed the wood stove and large bathtub. However, I cannot in good conscience recommend staying here. The pictures and description make it seem like this spot is remote and has easy access to water. However, it is surrounded by other homes with which it shares access to the dock, which is a 20 minute walk away. The couch is uncomfortable; we called it "the weird bony couch" due to the all the wooden struts in it. We remarked that we couldn't imagine sleeping on it... until the final night when we had finally had enough of the painfully uncomfortable bed, and decided the couch would be preferable after all. We left our stay feeling much more achy and sleep deprived than when we arrived. Also, these are minor complaints, but the place seems to have been constructed by amateurs. The wiring is weird, with light switches which do seemingly nothing, and light bulbs that won't turn on; we did eventually figure out how to turn on one such bulb, but it required fiddling with the dimmer switch each time. The sinks in the master bathroom have pulled away from the wall, where they were obviously meant to be attached. The drawers throughout would hang weirdly, close awkwardly, and slide open randomly. And the big, beautiful porch is positioned to face the neighbors, not the water, which baffled us and made it pretty unenjoyable.Oh, and the kitchen knives were dangerously dull; bring your own if you value your fingers.

What a beautiful home and setting! We escaped the coast, looking for that little gem away from the rest of the world, and we found it!
It was a wonderful 2 days with deer coming up to the windows in the morning, quails running all over the yard. and several grouse and pheasant's making their appearance.
The bathtub?!?!?! I wanted to take it home with me!!
Loved all the windows and the wide open views, and the wood burning stove made me never want to leave!
We are looking for a small piece of land in the area so we will definitely be back!
Thank you so much for a wonderful two night stay!

I loved the mornings I woke us and could watch the deer in the yard eating the maple leaves. The side yard was not kept up, no maintenance. Also there was no where to put our trash, trash can was full. Overall it served its purpose in making us feel warm and welcome.

We loved this cabin at the lake! It was so nice and clean. There was all kinds of wildlife passing through, and a great location for bird watching. Close to the lake and activities near by.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this quiet and private home enjoying all the animals and deer that come right up to the house. The home has a lovely view and large porch to enjoy the outdoors. Communication with the owners was very pleasant and quick response with any questions we had. We would definitely rent again and look forward to coming again.
