We stayed at this hotel because we are heading to the Lions game. The front staff was very nice and the room was very clean. The sheets were not very comfortable they smell like bleach and very stiff.

This is a fairly new hotel that appears to be going down like it has been there for years. The elevators and hallways are always dirty with trash, spilled beverages, etc. This was a business trip and we encountered people who were moving in for a month by month extended rate like apartment use. There were all kinds of food smells in the hallways. The staff was semi ok, depended on who was there. The cops were there 3 times that we know of when we stayed. Once for a domestic issue, once looking for someone, and once for someone passed out in their car(appears to have been waiting for someone and was too hot). Not a bad place just not what we expected. We have stayed in Woodspring Suites before and they were not like this one. Just know to expect the room will be clean but the elevator, hallways, and public areas were not and to see domestic issues.

This is great hotel nice and clean and very friendly staff

I really liked the decor of the room. Everything was simple and clean. The kitchen area was nice and the beds were comfortable. This was our first time at an extended stay hotel and I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was very helpful and I felt safe while there. Will come back again.

Convenient and clean accommodations. No frills but spacious and clean. We read reviews and brought everything (plates, cutlery) to fix a simple breakfast . Great for an extended stay on a budget. May need to bring pillows as the ones provided are very slim. Walls are thin so we could hear ppl walking in the morning. Good value for its price

The service was fairly poor. No coffee. Not good for staying, should have booked a real hotel room. Still no receipt! Room was clean and pleasant.

Check-in is at 3pm, so I arrived around 5pm exhausted from a long trip, I get to the hotel and they tell me my room isn't ready. I asked for another room, & they rudely stated "we don't have any other rooms available, you just have to wait until your room is ready." You would think they would try to keep me satisfied or apologize or accommodate me, but they didn't care. I then have to leave and returned by 7pm, & the whole place smelled like marijuana (the room, lobby, hallway, everywhere). And to top it off, it was so noisy. I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all, save yourself, you have been warned.

Nice location and it was in close proximity to all the things we wanted to do in the city with limited time. Arrived an hour early and was charged $25 for one hour early check in which seemed excessive.

The hotelnis fairly new but has paper thin walls. Its very loud. I was up most of the night to various rooms around me making regular noises. It is as if there is no noise dampening. The front desk is not staffed for after hours and is difficult to get a hold dueing regular hours.

The room was clean. We could not get the temperature regulated, it was freezing at night. The stove did not work and unfortunately the front desk was closed by the time we realized it and we had bought groceries. No in room amenities, you have to pay for a set of pots to use. Iron and ironing board at the front desk… if you can catch them there. Simply a place to lay your head rather than for an extended stay. No hand towels just washcloth and bath towel. Bare minimum.

Variety of resturants to choose from, not just fast food. Close to downtown Detroit with 4 major sport arenas. Concert Hall bars, clubs and the Casinos Short drive to Canada. Prime location for family or couples

I have been here several times before never had no problems now I came back to get a room this is the third time housekeeping has packed up my stuff in my room an a few items was stolen then need to hire proper people that not how it goes with hotels

The lobby and outside trash was always full and was dirty. There was a blood stain on the concrete outside of the front doors which made us very uncomfortable about our surroundings even though in the end it seemed fine. The rooms were clean, it was good for last minute but I don’t want to come back to this location.

My mom and I like having the shopping mall and restaurants near us, the outside and inside of the building was nice and clean. We didn’t like how small the bed were, the two little pillows we received, there wasn’t a blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, or no house keeping to tidy up the room a bit for us. My mom also didn’t like how she was told that she had to bring down her towels and get a replacement of her own, instead of the maid coming upstairs to bring her new towels. Also, there were a few towels that were still dirty. I wish the gym was a little bigger, that they served cold breakfast at the hotel, and I wish the front desk stayed open until midnight. Overall, I give the hotel 3.5 out of 5 starts because the hotel was nice it just didn’t have more amenities to choose from or much accommodations for the guest. I also felt like the stash should have been more welcoming. I just didn’t get that energy from them. I think it’s a good hotel if you’re only staying for a few days and don’t plan to be there for like a week or more.

Hotel was nice but there were a couple issues
1. Hotel had a smell to it that was not good
2. Only two pillows to a bed
3. No coffee on site anywhere
4. If you wanted clean towels you had to take the used ones down to the lobby to get new ones
5. Rooms were clean but common areas were pretty dirty

Did not like that there was not 24hr front desk. Requested extra blanket and pillows, did not get it. Had to come to the front desk 3hrs later to get it, and they only had blankets, no pillows. There were No amenities in the room, simple things as small shampoo and conditioner would’ve been nice.

Lobby and common areas we're never clean. While there is a small kitchen you have to BUY dishes, utensils, and pans. Towel fee is charged? You can hear neighbors conversation clearly. Bed is comfortable but only 2 pillows. Tons of storage though only 5 hangers. Tons of outlets including USB ports in some. Hotel is not worthy of Expedia 8.4 rating.

Room was clean. Staff was friendly ( when available) only conplaint we have is that the (2) pillows that were on bed were like a thin sheet of paper. I had to roll up bath towel to put underneath. Front desk open limited amount of hours. ( we came back late from game so we werent able to ask for more pillows) we recieved 2 more pillows for our 2nd night there. Room was equipt with fridge and cook top but you must purchase pots and pans. Laundry room was a nice addition ( we did not use it)

We had an issue with T.V but staff was very nice and helpful with trying to resolve our issue and issued a discount on our reservation

Our room was clean, it didn’t have much in the way of amenities, but just enough for our quick 2-day stop. We arrived around 10:30pm and had to call for someone to check us in. We knew this in advance and only waited about 5 minutes for staff to arrive. The area was quiet and we would consider staying there again.

We went prepared - w eating equip we needed. Read details before you go. Staff were excellent. Location was great for Henry Ford Museum. Price was reasonable for these times.

The hotel was clean and felt safe. However, I would classify the stay as an "Aldi's" type stay. I knew before we went that they did not offer breakfast or have a pool which was fine. However what I did not know is that they only clean the rooms every other week. You also have to go to the desk for towel exchange which costs you $7. The room has a kitchen area, but there are no pots, pans or serving utensils. Once again, you have to go to the desk and pay an extra fee for them to give that to you. You also have to empty your own trash. If you are staying more that one night, bring extra towels and cooking utensils if you are planning on using the kitchen. I will probably pay the extra $30 or $40 a night and have a clean towel and trash removed from the room next time.

Checking in and checking out was difficult. Had to call the attendent each time to come and open up the counter.

This is a new property. Everything is clean and nice as one would expect. However, the bed was hard, the pillows were thin and therefore not to our liking. Also, the floors were not carpeted, which we also didn't like. For some unknown reason the guest in the room above us walked around the room until about 3 am and with no carpet we heard every step. We spent two nights. I doubt we would return.

We made our reservation several weeks in advance online. The hotel was listed as pet friendly. We added a note to the reservation request that we travel with a cat. On arrival, weary after 9 hours driving, we were told they accept dogs only. So now we’re left hot, tired, hungry and with no place to stay. The desk clerk declined to even help us identify other hotels in the area that we might check with for accommodation. We will never again consider a Woodspring Suites property, whether we travel with the cat or not.

The staff has been very kind! Ivelise at the front desk (I hope I spelled it correctly) has been amazing! She for sure needs a raise. It is a wonderful place to stay for an extended period.

The bathroom does not have any grab bars, making getting in and out of the shower/tub dangerous for elderly. Front desk has short open hours.

Clean and efficient. Room had a cooktop but no utensils.

The hotel is quite new with pretty modern decor. The suite was spacious with a full kitchen. The downside was the total lack of amenities in the room or even at the desk to be borrowed - no hair dryer, no coffee pot, nothing to use in the kitchen to make it functional, even no ice machine available. The management explained that their price is less than any suite properties, and providing amenities would just raise the price. That rationale seems a bit overblown when you consider the minimal cost of a hair dryer or even dollar store kitchenware. We were also told that items like these are frequently stolen by guests. Perhaps a security deposit could be assessed, as other hotels do, with deductions for items taken from the room. Again, we understood the concept of keeping the room rate as low as possible. However, if guests must bring their own items to use the kitchen or dry their hair, the hotel listing should clearly include that information so people can make a more informed decision.
