Met the expectation I had of a long weekend getaway to celebrate my 21 year olds birthday.

Location was close to the airport. The food was great, mainly the buffet, the restaurants were only okay to me. The entertainment and activities were cool. Private beach access and very friendly staff.

The beds were not that comfortable, a little too firm for my liking. The rooms could use some updates. The restaurant menus were limited and I didn't love the desserts but there were a few I did enjoy. This isn't good or bad, just if you're looking for a good party environment at the pool, this hotel had what seemed like a younger crowd. While I enjoyed it I think next time I will look for something a little more chill.

Busy Holidays

Lively. Plenty activities. Main restaurant was excellent with plenty choice.

Specialty restaurants food was not great. Breakfast staff were a bit hit and miss. No ATM or cash changing facilities. Tha app was not accurate regarding what's on and when. Cash resort credits are very misleading . I had $1200 credits. You had to spend credits which equated effectively to a 10% discount. This meant I would have to spend $12000 to benefit from them. So in reality worth nothing.

Booking and Payment Issues at Riu Reggae

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint about my recent experience at Riu Reggae, specifically concerning the handling of my reservation and payment process by the front desk staff, Natalee and Libis. Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was informed that my reservation was only for one guest, which was unexpected as most hotel bookings typically accommodate two guests by default. When I requested to add another person to my room, I was shocked to learn that I would be charged over $800 for this addition. This charge seemed exorbitant and was not communicated to me prior to my arrival, causing immediate dissatisfaction and confusion. To resolve this issue, I contacted customer service for assistance. They assured me that they would update my reservation to reflect two guests at no additional charge. However, upon returning to the front desk, I was informed that the update had not been processed, despite waiting for 30 minutes. It was only after I insisted on seeing my reservation details that the update suddenly appeared. This delay and lack of transparency were frustrating and led to further inconvenience. Subsequently, when attempting to pay for my stay with a card, Natalee attempted to charge me an inflated price that contradicted the previously agreed-upon rate. She consulted with her supervisor, claiming that the price had increased, which was not the case according to my conversation with customer service. This discrepancy in pricing added to the confusion and dissatisfaction with the hotel's service. Due to the prolonged delays and lack of resolution at Riu Reggae, I was forced to book another hotel at the last minute after waiting for over three hours for a resolution. This unexpected additional expense and inconvenience further compounded my dissatisfaction with the situation and impacted my overall experience negatively. Overall, this experience at Riu Reggae was disappointing and fell short of the expected level of service and professionalism

The property was exquisite from the lobby to the beach. The staff was courteous and went above and beyond to ensure all needs were met. The hospitality is a 10 of 10. My room was clean and staff was available around the clock.

It was overall nice but I probably will go to some other all inclusive resort next time

I didn’t like how I was misinformed about information I was told by one staff member we have access to all three resorts and I was under the impression that meant breakfast lunch and dinner but of course that’s not the case I was hounded like a dog when I went to Montego Bay buffet for dinner and was told I can’t eat there because I’m at the Riu reggae. No one said anything to me or my spouse for three whole days so I was a bit confused

Not a bad experience but do not think I will visit again

Booking my stay with booking.com did not give me value for money. If I had book direct with the hotel I would have gotten more. I paid twice the price others pay and did not even get an ocean view room wish I thought was what I book initially. I woke up staring at a wall. I know it’s out the hand of staff what guest does but having been woken 3 am out of my sleep to noise was unacceptable. Another let down was the pools were not made for swimming.

The power went out multiple times during my 3 day stay . The cocktails are in premade in containers. All they did was add ice to a plastic cup and pour the mixture in. There is not a restaurant open all day. Between 3pm-6pm there is no where to eat unless you want a pre-made cold sandwich .

The best vacation trip I’ve had in a very long time.

Everything. Especially the entertainers.

We were without hot water for most of the day on one of the days. Also, upon check-in, no one informed us about the key that had to be inserted in the slot on the wall, too power the room. It took numerous trips downstairs and phone calls to the front desk before it was actually explained to us in detail on how to turn on the lights.

La ubicación; las instalaciones; la calidad de la comida y las bebidas. La ubicación es genial: se encuentra en punto medio de los sitios de interés turístico de Jamaica y a 5 min del aeropuerto. Las instalaciones resultaron muy cómodas, siempre estuvieron limpias y bien mantenidas. La comida y la bebida fueron excelentes; la facilidad para reserva de restaurantes para cena, es un plus. La playa es bonita, aunque el agua no es del todo transparente y no es de las mejores de la zona (tal como Negril). Se destacan los shows de entretenimiento nocturno.

Si bien el servicio de housekeeping fue muy bueno, hubo demoras y faltantes en reposición de toallas, del frigobar, etc. Todo servicio que se contrata extra desde el hotel es excesivamente caro en comparación (spa, masajes, actividades acuáticas). El personal en general no habla español, pero en la mayoría de ellos hay buena predisposición para comunicarse.

Don’t do it. There’s better for less

The workers were amazing, with the exception of the front desk. Every one has an attitude.

The rooms were a bit small for the price paid, the bed was extremely hard. I didn’t like that each room shows the same two pictures but when you get to your room you’re looking at trees and a barbed wired fence. No ocean view.

The food was amazing from the breakfast to the dinner, even the Asian restaurant was top tier. I loved the entertainment that was hosted, the staff is very comforting for solo travelers like myself. I chose Riu Reggae for my 26th birthday, the entire vacation was very relaxing. Was able to get some beautiful pictures and videos with the amazing view and cleanliness that Riu Reggae offers. Surrounded by good people everyone was welcoming and we all just wanted to have a good time. The bartenders were very fast and the non cocktails menu was amazing. Would recommend Riu Reggae and will probably be back next year!

I totally enjoyed the entertainment. Every night, it was a different show. The food was amazing! The food was the best part.

The staff wasn't helpful at all. We had to figure things out on our own. The women staff had horrible manners. It was roaches in our room, what was surprising because the resort was pretty much clean. The crowd was a bit loud, so I couldn't really relax. They didn't have room service. I was piss about that.

I really like being able to enjoy the other hotel.....the restaurant food was pretty good, especially the steakhouse. The staff was really nice and accommodating. The Dutch oven restaurant across the street was the best!!!! Very clean I was happy with that. Entertainment was on point and the water was nice.

The food could have been a lot better. Lesser options with more quality. Nighttime food was complete trash. The beef patties were good but they ran out the first night we got there.

Fun atmosphere, but in adequate room and poor customer service.

The activity crew was fun and nice. The food was great.

My room wasn’t ready until an hour after check in. And it wasn’t even clean. There were no extra blankets or pillows in the closet bag that there should have been. It was clear the room was only half done prior to letting us in. When we asked for a different room due to people, being in the jungle harassing us on the balcony. They made us pay an extra $300 to get a different room.
