The location was bomb, right on the beach, the view was amazing, the kitchen was nice
The driveway sucked, good luck getting down it in a car, we bottomed out twice and it's steep, place wasn't very clean, lot's of cob webs, no washer/dryer even though it shows it, everything was outdated and the game room most things were broken or put together half assed

Beautiful and amazing location. Beautiful view, small private beach where our kids had endless fun.
Time has stopped in the 60’s. Many things were not working well, like the curtain couldn’t close so it was unbearably hot morning time. We also almost got stuck with a family type SUV (4 wheel drive) it’s impossible to get through that tree root so we had to park up and walk down every time we left the property.

Beautiful view and spacious accommodations. Charming A frame with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths which were clean and well stocked.
While the cabin has some charm and a nice layout, we found it pretty lacking.
First of all it is ridiculously hard to find, especially in the dark. Some signage would be helpful, or more detailed instructions. Upon arrival we found a sticky floor, dirty fridge, stove and oven. The barbecue was out of propane and the fireplace didn't work. It was pretty chilly in the cabin, even with the heat all on. At least the bedrooms were warm! Thank goodness we found some space heaters.
The furniture is stained and in need of a good cleaning. The carpet going into the basement was filthy and torn. The door in the basement is a safety hazard as it could just be pushed open, even when locked and had no doorknob on the inside. We literally piled a desk and some chairs in front of it for safety.
Basically everything that we booked for was broken, dirty, or didn't work. I would call the basic word to describe Trails End is "Shabby". Its in need of an update. We were highly disappointed and unfortunately would never book with you again

Our stay was wonderful. The view of Hood Canal was unbelievable and stunning! The appliances were in great condition, and the place was spacious!
However, there were a few items that could have improved our experience. The location was a little challenging to find. The driveway was a little narrow for maneuvering in and out. The driveway is very steep, and my front wheel drive SUV nearly didn't make it up the slope. The septic tank was overflowing its contents into the front yard for all to avoid stepping and smelling. My disabled husband had a hard time getting from the car to the porch. The toilets are rather low, making them hard to sit and stand. The silverware was hard to find, because the drawer was unmarked and hidden. The neighbors don't seem to like living next door. We had no cable TV or wifi, which were aware of prior to our stay, but our cellular service was very, very poor in the cabin for some reason. We got very good service about a half a mile in both directions on Hwy 101. Makes it hard to use the internet to plan anything once settled. The upper windows didn't have a screening for light nor heat rays.
The utilities other than those previously mentioned were more than adequate and we had a great stay, except for our daughter who needs the internet.
