You will be delighted when choosing to “Stay Awhile” at this thoughtfully designed, one-of-a-kind A-frame cabin. Stay Awhile boasts an open concept where you can gather around the table for meals and game nights or dim those lights and get cozy in the family room for relaxing movie nights.
The main floor Master bedroom offers a Queen-sized bed with a private full bath with shower. An additional Queen-sized bed is located on the main floor and there is another full bath with shower for guest use.
Use the shipman style steps to head upstairs to the spacious open loft that adds an additional queen-sized bed that kids adore! And for those who insist on getting a little work done during your stay, your desk and chair awaits. You will appreciate plenty of space to comfortably accommodate six guests. No matter the reason for your visit, we invite you to Stay Awhile and create your own memories.

Go out, grill out, or just relax by the firepit and take in the night sky after a day of adventures and exploring this picturesque area of Kentucky. Take any number of scenic byways and soak in the rich rural landscape and rolling hills while exploring this spectacular area of Kentucky! Go spelunking in the world's longest cave system- Mammoth Cave National Park!! As you plan your route, choose one of many scenic byways for a 35mi picturesque drive to Mammoth Cave Visitor Center. The closest route even includes a unique ride across Green River on the ferry which leads you to the Mammoth Cave Visitors Center when you are ready to go spelunking!! Be sure to secure your tickets early for Mammoth Cave's popular guided cave tours as they can sell out weeks in advance. Or pick your own pace and space to enjoy miles and miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails available around and near Mammoth Cave. and Nolin Lake. The trails in this area have been a highlight and the guided horseback trips available at Double Js Stables (10mi away) are a frequent recommendation from our guests. They do stay busy, so call ahead to book your horseback riding adventures.
When you seek the thrills of ATV riding, check out the nearby Blue Holler Off Road Park (11mi). If golf is more your speed, it is worth packing your clubs for a round or two of golf at nearby Shady Hollow 18-hole course, which is another hidden treasure for our area.
Just don't forget your camera as you wander the backroads and uncover the beauty of rural Kentucky along the scenic byways! Be on the lookout for Amish buggies to share the roads and enjoy visiting the local Amish shops offering everything from coffee and ice cream to homemade wares.

During you summer stays, Nolin Lake's Wax Marina is just around the corner where you can reserve a pontoon or jet ski rental to use or visit one of the free public beaches nearby. You will also find great year-round fishing at Nolin Lake which has a reputation as one of Kentucky’s top lakes for Large Mouth Bass, White Bass, Catfish, Crappie, and Walleye.

Our family loved staying in this cool A-frame for the week. The boys loved the upstairs loft and it was the perfect home base for a week of cave, kayak, boating, and swim adventures. Highly recommend this property with all the amenities you need for a relaxing getaway with kiddos.

This cozy A-Frame was perfect for my group of two teenage girls (who loved the loft area) and two adults. It was clean and beautifully simplistic. Not a loud neighborhood at all. We enjoyed the time spent at the cabin relaxing. There are parks and trails around the area; close to Nolin Lake as well. I enjoyed visiting this A-Frame.

Clean, modern, efficient, quiet. Exactly what our group of near 50's needed!! Only recommendation to owner would be to ensure adequate paper towels, coffee, and dish detergent. All in all a wonderful property and fantastic stay!!

This was the perfect property to stay in while we visited Mammoth Cave. The beds were comfy and plenty of room for playing games at night or watching a movie. If the ferry is open its a quick 25 minute drive to the caves. Our first night a big storm hit and the ferry was closed all week, so we had a 50 minute drive to the caves, but enjoyed the drive each day.

Our stay at the A-Frame was fantastic! Everything was as the listing stated and more. We ended up using more than we planned - cooking most meals there, using the grill and fire pit, while enjoying the creature comforts of the AC. With stainless appliances, two full baths and extra cleanliness, this was far from most cabin experiences I have had. The kids and adults-alike loved the layout, especially the loft. The written guide with suggestions was very helpful in understanding the immediate area also, helping make this a great trip. Thanks!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and our time in KY. The cabin was very clean, comfortable beds, clean/fresh towels and sheets, adequately stocked kitchen. We had plenty of room for a cozy stay with our family of 5. We visited Mammoth Cave and found lots to see there. We did have a little bad weather during our stay and found there is not much else around the area to go and do. We would absolutely recommend a stay at this cabin. Angela was very responsive and the description/pictures are accurate!

House was the perfect spot for our family of four. Plenty of room to spread out inside and out. Beds were comfy, everything was new and clean. Wonderful water pressure in the showers! Stairs to loft are narrow but fine for our kids. We roasted marshmallows in the evening, our host Angela gave a great dinner suggestion at nearby Buoy’s. Be sure to take the ferry to Mammoth Cave, take at least two tours while you’re there, and say hello to the horses up the road from the house.

We recently stayed at this cabin and had a wonderful time visiting the National Park. If we could give 4.5 stars we would've. The issues weren't horrible but unfortunate and left us spending more time driving then we would've hoped. The cabin itself is amazing and thoroughly enjoyed the features and amenities. However, the location was just alright. I've learned to check into this more for our next adventure. 23 minutes is correct, it gets you to the edge of the national park. 40 minutes gets you to the visitor's center assuming the ferry is open, otherwise it's a 54-minute drive to the main hub of the park. There's not much of a view (to be fair it wasn't claimed there was) and close to some main roads where many of the hard-working men and women of Kentucky start there day at 4:30am. Again, nothing horrible but should be noted when investigating and why we couldn't give this location a full 5 stars. Thanks!

Our family of six from Ohio stopped for two nights on our way to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Our kids loved the space and we loved not staying in a hotel with four kids for two nights. Having a second full bathroom has become a must and we loved seeing more of the beautiful countryside on our way to and from Mammoth Cave. We also toured Crystal Onyx Cave and had a wonderful meal at Bouys which was so convenient.

We had an amazing stay at our very first A-frame. Perfect location for a girlfriends trip and we toured the surrounding areas National Park and natural caves. We felt like the accommodations were a bit small, especially the common space but we made it work! One more minor note- The upstairs loft is a bit inaccessible for certain people due to the latter staircase. Overall a good place and we made memories that will last a lifetime!!

This cool, surprisingly spacious A-Frame getaway was a perfect place to unwind after a long day of hiking Mammoth Cave National Park. It was clean and well decorated, and with three bedrooms (one in a fun loft), it was a great stay for the four of us! The owner is extremely nice and helpful, and seems to care about the property and the people who rent it. I highly recommend!!

The property was new, clean, and perfect size for a family of 5. The kitchen, fire and grill were supplied with everything needed to make our trip simple and smooth! We arrived an hour early due to the time change and Angela was able to accommodate our early arrival. She was extremely responsive throughout the process and we couldn't have asked for a better host. We enjoyed mammoth cave, lost river cave boat tour, wax Marina provided a great day on a pontoon swimming and fishing. Remote location, however the gas station and dollar store near the rental helped!

What an adorable, quaint, and fun little place to stay with the family. Although small, it does not lack in charm or attention to detail. It’s a great way to disconnect from distractions and truly enjoy the family. Mammoth caves is a bit of a drive, but well worth the scenic route. We will be back!

This property had everything we needed for a short stay in Kentucky. Convenient to the park and a short scenic drive to the cities for other activities. Most importantly, anywhere I lay my head, comfort is imperative. The wall AC units in each room were a nice touch. I could have my room ice cold while my family could adjust their room as needed. This is a beautiful brand new A frame! It was the perfect space for a weekend getaway and right around the corner from the marina! Angela was very easy to work with and responsive! We would highly recommend and would book again!!
