About this cabin rental
Blackberry Station Cabin is for casual comfort and enjoyment. Relax or be active. It's all possible.
Sit on one of the two very large back decks and look out over surrounding mountains from your own mountain getaway. "Dining out" on the upper deck (off the main floor) is always fun, no matter the time of day. Sipping coffee or wine while rocking the time away, gazing at sunrises, sunsets, stars, clouds, even nice rains. Watch the birds congregate around the birdfeeder and perhaps catch a glimpse of a deer or two down around the deerfeeder. Different but fabulous views in all seasons.
Humongous top deck features 5 rockers, a swing bed, outdoor dining table with seating. Even more seating options on equally large bottom deck which is next to a cozy firepit. Bottom deck has porch swing and more.
Inside, along with 3 BR and 3 BR (all full), there's a loft with a comfortable sofa, recliner, and TV; an office with a single bed. Downstairs has an entertainment room with 65-in TV, comfy recliner, reclining loveseat and sofa with reclining ends; octagonal card/game table that reverses to bumper pool; many games, movies, etc; "pool hall" is next to entertainment room with full-size pool table.
Main floor has nice kitchen that is well-stocked (Keurig, crockpots, toaster, panini grill, griddle, blender, pots/pans, dishes, utensils, stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, charcuterie boards, etc;) family living room with large fireplace, TV, games, books; live edge dining table in dining room area. Laundry room with washer & dryer.
MBR is on main floor; two bedrooms (one king, one queen) on top floor along with loft and office. All sofas are "sleepable."
Curvy drive up the mountain to the cabin is worth the view. Inside Shallow Valley community where you might see two vehicles per day. In other words, it's quiet except for chirping birds and occasional breezes through the trees.
Ten minutes to downtown Bryson City; ten minutes to Nantahala Outdoor Center. Short drive to Cherokee, Franklin, Murphy, Maggie Valley, Fontana Village and Lake Fontana. Not far to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood. Very close to Little Tennessee River, Tuckaseegee and Nantahala. About 40 miles to Cataloochee Ski Resort. Very short drive to excellent restaurants. Also, stop in at Darnell Farms where activities abound.
Visit Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, Harrah's Casino, Joyce Kilmer National Forest, Cherohala Skyway, Fly-Fishing Museum and more.
Go tubing, white-water rafting, fishing, antiquing, shopping, kayaking, canoeing, gem-mining, biking, hiking along the Appalachian Trail. Waterski on nearby Fontana Lake or Little Tennessee River; snowski at Cataloochee Ski Area ...... Just right for people who like indoor activities AND for those who enjoy loads of outdoor activities.
Along with Fontana Lake, this is not far from beautiful Lake Santeetlah, Cheoah River, the Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway. Fontana Dam (the tallest dam in the eastern US) and the Cheoah/Santeetlah Dam that was used in "The Fugitive."
Great place to relax, getaway, participate in numerous outdoor activities, gather with friends & family. We love playing board games, card games, shooting pool.
Summary of sleeping options: 2 kings, 1 queen, 1 single (in the office), 1 swing bed on upper deck, 3 comfortable sofas.
We are not property managers; this is our personal getaway place that we are happy to share with you. Note: we didn't hire a professional photographer to make the rooms look bigger than they are. It's a spacious place without trick photography.
Except for wintry and fall photos, the majority of pictures taken in May 2023 and some in August 2024.

From the first time we opened the door, this property did not disappoint! It seemed there was a wonderful new discovery around every corner. Description & pictures were very accurate. The only "surprise" was that I didn't realize the 3 bathrooms are on each floor/level (not connected to bedrooms) so the two upstairs bedrooms had to share a bath. It felt like home while we were there and was the perfect accommodation for our extended family. Everyone loved it! Would definitely book again.

Had a great time! Cozy cabin. Nice view. Peaceful. Sat on back porch mornings and evenings. Great contact with host!

Overall the house is beautiful and location is great. Our checkin was held up because we never received our door code 30 mins before checkin like I was told. We received it 45 minutes later after I emailed the owner. Also we were told we had to take our trash with us due to the recycling center being closed on Sunday (our checkout day). This was over the top request to me. For the nightly cost, I would think trash disposal would easily be taken care of as with all the other rentals we have atayed at before.

This is a great place for a large family who love to cook. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with plenty of dishes and flatware to go around. Beds are comfortable and teens are kept well-occupied by the movies and the pool table in the downstairs movie room, leaving adults to enjoy the television in peace and quiet on the main floor. We didn't use the fire pit because it was windy when we were there and the house is surrounded by woods but it's very nice and a good place for s'mores or hot dog roasting.

The house was nicely decorated and the extra amenities throughout the home kept our grandson entertained. The Christmas decor was extra touch that made the house feel warm and cozy. There was plenty of room for our family. The beds were comfortable and the linens smelt freshly clean. There were lots of games, books, pool table, and plenty of sitting areas to enjoy. We were visiting the area to take in the area and ride the Polar Express. We would love to return for a longer stay in the future. You will not be disappointed! Thank you for sharing your home.

This was my 2nd stay at Blackberry Station and I'll be back. The house has everything you want and need for a relaxing, peaceful mountain getaway. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well-appointed, and the location is remote and quiet while also being a short, easy drive to Bryson City, Cherokee, Sylva, and even Waynesville. I can't wait for another opportunity to stay at Blackberry Station!

The house was better than described! Authentic mountain decor, very comfortable beds, extremely well-equipped kitchen. We loved all the nooks and crannies throughout the house. Our staff worked during the day (usually at the big table on the upstairs deck) and relaxed on the evenings. We cooked and played some of your board games - thanks for the large selection of games and books and blankets! We will definitely return.

We enjoyed a father/ teenage daughter weekend mountain getaway. The house is equidistant from Bryson City and the NOC (about 10-15 minute drive). We enjoyed rafting, hiking, Ziplining in the area. We enjoyed the views from the large porch of mountains and nature (two piliated woodpeckers hung out in nearby tree one morning). We also had fun with pool table, poker table and trivia games. The only thing that we didn’t have was a grill. We wanted to grill out one night. Otherwise, house has great places to hang out. House is updated and comfortable. Thanks for sharing your mountain retreat.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blackberry cabin. The house is very comfortable and well stocked with everything that you need. We were there with our family and there were eight of us. The outdoor porches were amazing and the view was beautiful. We went to three waterfalls at deep creek and we drove down to Cherokee and went to Mingo Falls. We would definitely stay here again if we were back in the area!
