About this cabin rental
Beautiful private rustic log cabin nestled on a lake in a wild woodland. In summer, the sandy beach, kyaks, raft and dock hold you as you play for hours in the spring fed water. Watch for eagles and great blue herons from the huge porch as the kids stalk chipmunks, swim, kayak and fish by the waterside deck, catch fireflies in the evening, roast marshmallows by the fire pit; Hammock time is key for the full experience!! September brings hot days with cool evenings, as the crisp air starts the turning of the leaves to orange and gold. By October, it's a leaf peepers’ paradise, and the lake and backroads are aflame in red, purple and bright orange.
Our spacious cabin is 1700 square feet big and has 3 bedrooms (two queen beds, 3 twins, one futon: sleeps 8) and 3 bathrooms; additional space includes a semi finished basement and a loft that serves as a game room, art studio and extra bedroom. The porch overlooks the lake, with easy boat launch and seating, raft, dock, three kayaks, one canoe. Renowned for bass fishing.
History comes to life here, as the old country store motif fascinates kids and adults alike. Kids love to "shop" at the counter which is a huge old country store display case with original cash register
Yet here you will also find all the modern comforts you long for during your special vacation. Great open kitchen, well -equipped for cooks; new gas stove and silent dishwasher; dining area and comfortable, spacious family room with vaulted ceiling. Leather recliners face the stunning large stone fireplace and smart TV, with full internet service. Check out the camp book shelf for info about local hikes, the White Mountains nearby, classic reads for kids and adults.
There is a bathroom on each of the three floors, one with a genuine deep clawfoot tub
Basement lower level space with extra large shower, pool table, couch, DVD old movie collection, lots of games, cozy child play space.
The full length porch overlooking the lake can be the center of your gathering, as seated on old fashioned camp furniture you watch folks jump off the float as the sun retreats over the foothills.
Comfortable beds, private spaces, local artwork, lots of classic vacation reading stocked on old bookshelves as you take turns on the hammock; lie on the porch couch, watch the chipmunks and squirrels play in the treetops as herons and eagles fly by. Watch for deer, hear loon calls at dawn. Enjoy the swing set, sandbox and child chairs for the grandchildren in our safe and child friendly home.
Quaint local restaurants and beautiful New England scenery will draw you back here time and again. Local trails nearby and Appalachian Mountain Club hiking north in the White Mountains; shopping in North Conway. Special restaurants in the lovely town of Wolfeboro, a 20 minute drive from camp.
So much to do and see in all weather and time of year. The views of fall leaves are unbeatable. Bring your paints, the art studio space is there for you in the loft, near the poker chips and the extra futon bed.

We enjoyed 2 weeks at Mary and Frank’s home. The house has everything you need for a comfortable vacation, plus board games, watercraft, a pool table, and swim raft. We spent a lot of time on the large porch, watching hummingbirds come and go, and checking out the lake activity.
We were pleasantly surprised that there were no mosquitoes!
The yard could use a little tlc, but there is a beautiful small garden by the shed with herbs and flowers. The mini tomatoes were delicious.
Location was great for us- close to MA, and right on the border of ME.

We don't rent homes much, but this places was absolutely charming. Was like walking into an antique store, but not overcrowded. Lots of space for people to sleep. Great kitchen, and OMG the DECK!!! What a view! We plan/hope to come back next summer. Thank you Mary!

The ultimate lake house summer weekend! I came with a group of friends to celebrate the fourth and have a fun reunion together to relive our summer camp days. During our stay we had a blast on the lake using the paddle-boards, kayaks, and tubes from the house. The kitchen had everything we needed for a cookout, and the fire-pit provided the perfect spot for the end of the night. This home is ideal to catch up with friends and enjoy the summer. The beds were super comfy and the whole house was very clean. Hoping we can do it again one day, we loved our time here!

We had a wonderful stay!!! The home is absolutely perfect, wonderfully decorated (including the owner’s own lovely artwork!) - everything you’d possibly need is there and available to you. My son and his girlfriend kayaked the entire lake and loved it. We all enjoyed the fire pit overlooking the lake, the covered porch and playing several games of pool in the basement. Kitchen amazing as well. Too much more great stuff to describe. One of our best VRBO stays. Thank you Mary and Frank!!! We’ll be back again!!!

We enjoyed everything about this cabin on the lake. Lacked for nothing. Cozy and homey. The decor made us feel at home, and on vacation at the same time.
Mary is a wonderful host. Available and willing to answer any questions you might have.
Oh! The lake - OUTSTANDING

My wife and 8 month old daughter stayed here for the weekend as a first family trip together. I have to say, this place was amazing and exceeded our expectations. Mary answered any questions we had and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

My friends and I were looking for a nice relaxing, kid free weekend. We got exactly that. It was so peaceful. Sitting on the back deck over looking the water, watching the morning sun gleam off the water all the way to watching the beautiful sunsets. Everything was just so relaxing!!! I highly recommend staying here for complete peace!!

We loved our stay at this spacious, comfortable, and interesting cabin. The porch was our favorite place to relax, read, and look out at the lake. The hammock and the little rocker right next to the lake are also pretty great! Inside, the whole house is a curated work of art, with fascinating antique pieces, lovely original paintings, and delightful curios in every room. Comfortable beds, fabulously comfy recliners, a kitchen stocked with everything you might need … we can’t wait to return. Next time we might do some kayaking, but this time we just hung out and soaked in the restful atmosphere that we had hoped to find, and did.

This cabin was adorable with lots of antiques and art work by Mary. We had a great time although the weather did not cooperate. We used the kayaks and ventured onto the lake which was quiet and serene.
The cabin has everything you need and then some. Thanks for sharing your home!

The lake is so close that you could hear the water lapping when you sat on the porch. Utter serenity. The hummingbirds were flitting from the flowers to their feeder. The owner was so generous with every supply that you could imagine. Mary was always just a phone call away. She’s so sweet and helpful. The cabin is beautiful and clean. Mary’s artwork is amazing! There were antiques tastefully placed. They were such fun and so interesting to look at. The beds are very comfortable. It was fun taking out the canoe. The whole week was just perfect. We did not want to leave. We hope to be welcomed back!

My wife and I have been staying at Lake front cottages for quite some time. This is far from a cottage. It is a beautiful home that has any and everything you will need for your stay. If you like antiques and memorabilia, this is the place for you. Awesome covered porch overlooking the lake. Hummingbird visits about every 20 minutes. Well equipped play room with a nice pool table. Frank and Mary were there when we arrived and made us feel more than welcome in their home. They are easily accessible by phone should you need anything. I would most definitely stay there again and would highly reccomend it.
