About this cabin rental
Rent three cabins for the price of one!
The Log Cabin at Warner’s Camp is a true piece of art. This property consists of a three bed, two bath log cabin, a studio cabin with additional bedroom and bathroom, plus an additional sleeper cabin (a charming enclosed lean-to, overlooking a stream).
We are so excited to share our second property with you. Our design work has been featured in Homes & Gardens, Travel + Leisure, and Apartment Therapy.
Located just across the street from the Original Warner’s Camp, this property has direct access to the Ausable River. A hot tub, sauna, and high end foosball table provide endless relaxation after a long day of hiking or skiing at Whiteface.
The Log Cabin at Warner's Camp is a scene out of a storybook. Huge interlocking logs support an a-framed second story. The main floor, consisting of a kitchen, dining room, bedroom and bathroom, features incredible shaved logs and custom woodwork.
We’ve updated the kitchen to include high end appliances by ZLINE. The dining room has seating for ten people and opens up to our backyard patio, complete with a smokeless fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, a propane grill, picnic table, and a striking cedar sauna. Step out of the queen bedroom on the first floor for direct access to our luxurious cedar barrel hot tub.
Climb up to the second floor of the Log Cabin to enjoy our parlor; a lovely sitting room with foosball, roku tv, and a beverage fridge. The second floor also has an additional bathroom with a clawfoot soaker tub, a queen bedroom, and double bedroom.
The outbuildings on this property offer your group a variety of private sleeping options:
The studio cabin features a private bathroom with yet another clawfoot soaker tub, a wood burning stove, a queen bed, a mini fridge and a coffee marker. This small cabin, located on the edge of our property, is steps away from a seasonal pond that is teeming with life each spring. Enjoy the sounds of bullfrogs at night.
The lean-to cabin is a must-do Adirondack experience with a luxurious twist. Unlike your typical camping lean-to, this one has been heated and insulated for year round sleeping. The lean-to cabin consists of a double bed facing large windows that overlook a seasonal stream.
Spring is one of our favorite times of year at this property as the pond and stream are so much fun to watch. Follow the stream into the woods and explore uncharted territory with cascading waterfalls. Due to ground water patterns in our area, the stream occasionally dries out in August and September. That said, the Ausable River located across the street is flowing year round. Enjoy a direct walking path to the river where you can fish and swim.
Guest access:
Full access to all three buildings on the property:
The Log Cabin, the Studio Cabin, and the Lean-to
We've carved in a private path for the exclusive use of guests who book the Log Cabin to access the river and swimming hole across the street. Please note that the riverbanks and swimming hole areas are shared with our other property and the occasional neighbor.
Other things to note:
>> The fifth bedroom is a converted lean-to cabin. Guests who choose to make use of this "glamping" cabin will have to use the bathroom inside the main cabin as the lean-to does not have running water. The lean-to is heated, insulated, and safe to sleep in year round. A row of string-lights illuminates the walk from the lean-to to the main cabin.
>> All bedrooms have AC, except for the lean-to cabin, which has a ceiling fan instead.
>> We charge an extra nightly fee of $10 per person for each person after 6 people (VRBO will add these fees on automatically before you book if you enter the guest count accurately).
>> Send us a message if you plan to bring a pet. Additional cleaning fee of $75 per pet required.
>> Guests must agree to additional hot tub, sauna, and wood stove safety rules. The hot tub is serviced regularly by our maintenance team.
>> Firewood is provided and your first fire is on us! Please replace any additional logs used.
>> Please ensure that all members of your group are made aware of our house rules. We expect you to return the property to us in the same condition in which you received it, aside from the bedding and towels, which we will turn over. You'll find our full checkout procedures printed in our guest guide.
>> Our cleaners work hard to ensure the property is perfect for each group. Please respect their time by checking out promptly at 10am.
>> We are located in a somewhat remote area. The house is on Route 9N, a scenic state highway, and backs up to miles of protected state parklands. You can see a couple neighboring homes from sides of the house, while the fire pit area out back feels very secluded. We love our location as we can quickly pop into town, but still have privacy.
>> Due to our location, cell service is spotty. Enable WiFi calling on your phone to make and receive calls.
>> Our well water tastes and smells a bit like sulfur. It's completely safe and potable. We drink it while we are there, but you might consider bringing bottled water.
>> Expect to encounter wildlife. We regularly see turkeys and deer on the property. During the spring, the bullfrogs and tadpoles are plentiful near the seasonal pond. There will be bugs! A cost of being in the woods and close to water. Consider packing bug spray, and please keep all screens to the house closed (even in the winter).

We just had a wonderful stay at the Log Cabin. Three teenage boys who are best friends and their moms who are friends all stayed here for four nights. The kids loved having their own “homes” with the outbuildings and the three moms enjoyed having their own bedrooms with very comfy mattresses. The home was clean and cute, a most interesting house. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub, which was so welcome after the strenuous via ferrata at Ausable Chasm. Access to the river was easy, I only wish we used it more. At least the boys had one good swim. We loved the little pond, too. Lots of frogs. I miss it already!!

We had a great time here. We especially loved grilling over the open fire pit. The beds were very comfortable, and we loved the design features/decor. The hot tub felt great at the end of the day. The only downside was that the living room/TV area is upstairs but that did encourage more family/friend time downstairs around the large dining table.

The cabin and studio were very clean, had all the necessary amenities, and were very cozy.
The outdoor area with the fire pit is a great hang out spot for a group, and the watering hole by the river was the highlight of our entire trip.

This home was perfect. Super clean! The yard was amazing to hang out in, especially with little children and a dog. It was SO close to Whiteface for skiing and exploring Lake Placid. They had everything we needed in the house and the caretaker was so responsive when we had a quick question. Even with little children, it was so easy to quickly childproof with a door at the bottom of the stairs, etc. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We will likely be back!

A very nice, quaint, quiet getaway location. Off the main, hustle & bustle areas while close enough to visit when chosen. Beautifully decorated property where everything was thought of!

The Log Cabin was everything promised and more! The cabin was perfectly decorated, well intentioned and stocked to the brim with anything you could ever need while traveling. The kitchen was one of my favorite part. The beds were extremely comfortable, the house smelled so clean! There is even washer and dryer on site. The additional sleeping accommodations in the outside buildings were lovely and perfect as well. This was the perfect place, and we will be back at least once per year. Amy, the host is responsive, accommodating and informative - the ease of booking was incredible. You will not regret booking this gem!

A group of my friends rented the log cabin for a ski trip up to whiteface. Everything on the listing is accurate and concise. When we arrived the house was very clean and the check in process was super easy. One day while skiing there was a decent sized snow storm that came through and something that impressed me was coming back to a plowed driving and a house that had already been shoved out!

I think I already wrote, but I’ll do it again. We really enjoyed our time there! We would totally do it again. Wi-fi worked on a couple phones, but you warned us on that situation. Love the houses and we all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Thank You.

We took weeks looking through places to stay and I'm an so glad we decided on this cabin. There was more than enough room for our group of friends and we felt right at home. They are not joking when they say there is no signal, wifi will really be your only connection to the outside world, but that is exactly what we were looking for. We spent the days hiking and enjoying the sights and the evenings hanging out around the fire pit and relaxing in the sauna/hot tub.
5/5 Would escape to this cabin again.

This beautiful cabin near Lake Placid was the absolute best location to host our friend’s Bachelorette trip. The cabin was gorgeous, spacious, clean, and perfect for what we were looking for in a long weekend up in the Adirondacks. Amy was receptive and responsive way before we even checked in and she made the entire rental process even easier!! Amy, we can’t thank you enough for letting us stay in your beautiful home and we can’t wait to come back for another girls trip soon!!

We had a really great time at the log cabin. The cabin is close to the road, but it's quiet inside and the outdoor spaces didn't feel exposed to the road at all (in October). The amenities (hot tub, firepit, sauna, quick walk to a private swimming hole) were all enjoyed by us (although we failed to use the table football table!). A minor issue with the place was resolved by the hosts. Beds were pleasant, small out-cabins were also pleasant, and all the policies seemed reasonable (including use of firewood; there are lots of nearby places selling wood if you need more!). I really enjoyed that the space felt a little more thoughtful rather than the bland decor of many listed for rent. Would absolutely stay here again with a group.

This home was beautiful and had everything we need. It was well thought out and comfortable, as well as impeccably clean. We loved being able to get into the cold river, the hot tub, the sauna, and to enjoy the comfortable beds! We will definitely return to this property.

This is a great experience for people that enjoyed the 70s and like country living. Great outdoor area to appreciate all of nature. I can't find one negative thing to say about my stay.

This property has it all. Myself and family really enjoyed our stay. We came upstate for a fishing trip, just the boys. The studio cabin was perfect for the one guy that snores. LOL-private suite for him. We used the hot tub & barrel sauna with garden hose cold showers in between sessions after a long day on the river. Prefect accomodations here at the Warner Camp. We would certainly stay again. A++++

My family and I stayed here during our hiking trip upstate. I was blown away by this property. We enjoyed the sauna and incredibly comfortable hot tub, the fire pit, and the beautifully decorated space. We made use of the extra sleeping cabins (such a luxurious option for large groups!) and the little ones had so much fun watching the frogs in the pond. Also made a trip to the swimming hole across the street. Wow. Will return!

The house was very clean and beautiful as well. The sauna was fun too. We loved everything about this place!
