About this house rental
Come visit our home away from home! Park your car & walk everywhere to enjoy all that beautiful Stonington Borough has to offer. Fantastic restaurants, Dubois Beach, museums, boating, nature walks, and world class sunsets are all just minutes away. Visit the funky Velvet Mill Farmer's Market on Saturdays. Buy fresh fish right off the boat, and fresh vegetables from one of our local farms. Enjoy a glass of wine and beautiful views at one of our 3 Stonington vineyards, or a local brew at Beer'd Brewing Company. When you're ready for a change a scenery, just a 10 minute drive gets you into the heart of beautiful Mystic Village, where you can take in some more New England charm, and grab a treat at the famous Sift Bake Shop before heading over to the Mystic Seaport and Aquarium. We're right on the border of Rhode Island, so a 10 minute drive in the opposite direction, will bring you into adorable downtown Westerly, where you can enjoy thrift shopping, book browsing, and a cup of Dave's coffee, before heading over to Watch Hill or Misquamicut to soak up some sun and waves on beautiful Rhode Island beaches. Have fun! We never get bored, and you won't either.

The stay was comfortable, safe, and a great jumping off point to both CT and RI. The Velvet Mill nearby was great, we visited Ninigret Park for some troll hunting & the Rhythm and Roots festival, and Essex steam train on the way home. Beautifully decorated, very available hosts via text, clean home, off street parking, and a good price, even friendly neighbors. You can't ask for more than that.

This was a first time visit to the area. This lovely home made the time with our adult kids very nice. We enjoyed checking out the sweet vintage decor touches throughout. Each room felt like home. The kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor patio was a great place to hang out after a day at the beach. The Zest bakery gift card was greatly appreciated, too. Their coffee, pastries and crepes are the best! Sleeping was very comfortable with the fans located in each room. We had fantastic weather with warm sunny days and cooler nights. We would definitely stay again!

We could not have asked for a better experience. Shannon was a wonderful host who made us feel so welcome. The home had everything that we needed to relax, and the welcome letter had great suggestions for places nearby to explore. We hope to return!

We had a wonderful stay and it was in the perfect location for our family reunion weekend! Shannon made communication and everything in the house effortless! We had a gorgeous weekend so didn't spend a lot of time at the house, but her home guide and notes about the area were super helpful! Hoping to come back next year :)

This charming home is located in the little coastal New England town of Stonington. The perfect location for anyone attending a wedding at Stone Acres Farm, about a 5 minute drive down the road. Comfy beds, great water pressure, easy access in and out and plenty of parking. So many local cute shops and places to explore, especially in nearby Mystic. Highly recommend!

We stayed at this property recently on a quick trip to Connecticut to visit our cadet at USCGA. The host was terrific in communicating with me directly - and she was sure we had the proper information to make our success a stay. We enjoyed an early morning walk to Indulge Coffee Company, which lead to some chats with a few area locals. They gave us even more recommendations! This property was perfect for what we needed it to be!

We had a delightful stay in this cozy home, conveniently located to walk to coffee, shopping or small beach. Home is well equipped, clean, with nice touches throughout. Gift card to Zest bakery much appreciated as we then discovered the cool Velvet Mill area as well. Both bathrooms are upstairs and convenient to bedrooms. Stairs are somewhat steep which could be challenge for elderly or young children, but double banister helped a lot! Thank you Shannon! We hope to return and stay longer next time!

Had a family wedding at the Mystic Yachting Club. Wanted to have the family all together for this short stay in the comfort of a home and not hotel rooms. Shannon’s home was perfect. The only suggestion would be to mention that both bathrooms are on the second floor. This didn’t pose impact on us but could to other families. The home was clean the check in and out process was simple. We will keep this home in mind if we have any other trips to the area. Thank you!!

My friends and I stayed at Shannon’s house this past weekend. Shannon was very responsive to all of our questions about the house and area and even left us a gift card to a local bakery “Zest” (TY Shannon)! The house was very clean and comfy. It is in the perfect location for walking to restaurants and other attractions. We enjoyed wonderful dinners at Noah’s and the Dog Watch Brewery and tasty margaritas at Milagros. The house is fantastic and I would recommend to friends and family that want to stay in Stonington Borough.
Note: I do feel like I have to mention that both bathrooms are on the second floor so it may not be a good place for someone with mobility issues.

Cozy home, so very comfortable. Easy check-in process. And owners are incredibly responsive to emails. The provision of beach towels is a nice touch especially given the access to a number of beaches. Provided us with wonderful recommendations including the Velvet Mill (so delightful), restaurants as well as other sites to see. Would definitely consider staying here again!

We had a great time at Shannon’s place. The home was located in a great spot close to the Navy Base and local beaches and attractions. We loved visiting Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Village, DuBois Beach, local thrift shops and coffee shops. We enjoyed several afternoons at Misquamicut State Beach and evenings playing cards around the table. The home is comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed being able to grill during our visit. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and a wonderful stay!

This was a great place to rest our head for the night. We stopped here on our way home from Acadia National Park, and it was just what we needed after many days of hiking. The beds were super comfy and there were fans in each room. Bathrooms were spotless with plenty of clean white fluffy towels. The host even put a high chair in the home after she saw we were traveling with a toddler. The wrap around couch fit 4 adults comfortably. She even left us a hand written note and gift card for breakfast! 10 minutes from Mystic Aquarium and so close to the historic downtown. This was a fantastic stay and I will gladly stay here again if I am ever in the area in the future.

Our stay at Shannon’s house was GREAT! There were 3 of us (women in our 50s), so we each had our own comfortable bedroom. The hosts provided linens and towels, and the toiletries were a nice touch! Shannon’s suggestions of what to do in Stonington were perfect - she recommended Macondo coffee bar, which was YUM!, Dog Watch Cafe (fun & delicious), the Velvet Mill farmer’s market and shops, and Noah’s restaurant in town (they had the most amazing Bulgogi lettuce wraps!). We walked into town (Stonington, so charming!) and we Ubered to Foxwoods one night, which was, with tip, under $25 each way. We didn’t go to the beach (walking distance) because it wasn’t quite warm enough, but the house comes with beach chairs and beach towels, which is awesome! The cozy living room was perfect for lounging/watching TV, and the kitchen seemed to have everything (though we ate out mostly), except for maybe a microwave. All in all the perfect house for a great girlfriends’ get-away! Shannon was easily reachable for anything, and very nice and accommodating! Would definitely recommend!
