The shimmering waters of Cobbosseecontee Lake wash right up to your backyard at this waterfront home in Winthrop. With three seasonal docks, a ladder for easy swimming access, this is a place for unforgettable days spent out on the water.
This two-story home sits on the lake's rocky north shore, where it boasts both deepwater and shallow frontage. The three docks gives you access to all sorts of water activities. When you're not swimming or fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass, you'll be close to downtown Augusta (six miles) and even the ocean shores of the Midcoast to the south.
The summer months are for long, warm days spent outdoors. Sip your morning coffee as the sun rises over the lake, watch your kids swim and play tag in the grass, and rinse off in the refreshing outdoor shower after a day of activities. Toss your swimsuits in the washer/dryer, light the gas grill for an evening barbecue, and gather around the picnic table on the deck for a spectacular sunset dinner.
Built in 1917 and updated in the years since, the house is full of timeless charm - from wood-paneled walls to picture windows that frame the lake. The light-filled living space was designed for easy family gatherings, bringing together a spacious kitchen, a large dining room, and a lakefront living room where you can watch movies and play board games.
There are four bedrooms in the main house: lakefront bedrooms on the first and second floors and two additional guest rooms upstairs.
THINGS TO KNOW
Boat trailers are not allowed on property. There is a marina located nearby where boats can be launched and trailers parked.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.
Dock details: There are multiple docks normally occupied by a pontoon boat, a speedboat, and a float plane. The docks are seasonal, so please make sure to ask if you need them in the lake in early spring/late fall to be sure they are in place. The lifts are normally occupied, but your own watercraft can be tied to the docks. If you prefer to use the lifts for your boats, they can be made available upon request and for an additional fee. Please contact Vacasa for details.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

10.0 / 10.0
We spent our Thanksgiving at this property and it was perfect. The house is fully stocked to accommodate our small family that visited us while in Maine. The property added a few nice welcome gifts for the holiday, and the kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs. The view of the lake every day is gorgeous. The property was very easy to check into and communication was seamless.
