This is our second 10 day stay at the Vista Cottage. We have found this to be the perfect location for our stays. Plenty of space for a longer stay and the kitchen was outfitted with most everything you need to prepare meals.
Michael, our host, is super responsive and made sure our stay was comfortable and safe. We will return soon!

We were there for two weeks. We started off with a family row that was horrid. Michael checked in and was very gracious. I’m not sure I would have been as understanding as he was. But it was very nice to be treated as an intelligent adult.
The house is very comfy cosy. I couldn’t find a blanket to add to the bed for early mornings when it was a bit chilly, but it was exceptional for all but that hour or so. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed - except a can opener. So we had fun (and I mean that sincerely) trying to open our can of tomatoes for spaghetti. But we figured out a way. The hot water was a bit tricky, but if you let it run long enough it gets nice and hot. Michael provided shampoo and conditioner - which I’d never seen in a B&B before. The backyard is basic, but large enough to play ball in with a four year old. The windows do an exceptional job of keeping street noise out, which is necessary on a major street. The driveway is large enough for at least two cars. And there always seemed to be street parking as well. We had no problems with the wifi. The only thing that was 👎 was there is no hot tub, even though it’s listed in the amenities. Other than that, it was an altogether enjoyable stay.

Overall, it was a fantastic stay at the Vista cottage. The cottage has ample space and is well outfitted for a lengthy stay. It is also located close to many north San Diego County attractions and was only 5 minutes from our son's place. It is minutes away from freeway access and shopping. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom had a full closet with plenty of space to hang clothes. The washer/dryer came in handy and there was plenty of towels/linens for your stay. All the appliances looked new and were in great working shape.
Our host was response to any questions and made sure our stay was comfortable, safe, and fun. We are a retired couple and this VRBO fit our needs perfectly. We have already booked for July!

This rental was so perfect for my husband, our dog, and I! The fenced in yard and large driveway made it se easy to travel with a pet. The rental itself is beautiful and well restored while maintaining the old California charm. All the appliances are new and modern and the kitchen is stocked and equipped to actually be usable like any kitchen at home would be. The property manager was the fastest response I’ve ever had, though the checkin process was easy enough to not really need anything from him! Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
