Description:
Spend unique days in the listed canal packhouse in Holtenau. The 2-room apartment is located in the former warehouse at Tiessenkai Holtenau. The apartment captivates with its unique flair. Thus, everywhere in the apartment you will find wooden constructions and wooden beams, which reflect the character of the 270-year-old house.
The apartment is located on the first floor.
From the entrance you go directly into the small apartment hallway, where you can store your shoes and jackets. With a view of the Kiel Inner Fjord, you can relax in the living and dining area. The highlight here is the semicircular, floor-to-ceiling window, which can be opened completely. Through the window you can look at the entrance of the Kiel Canal and the Kiel Inner Fjord and the hustle and bustle on the water, but also look directly at the busy and popular Tiessenkai, the promenade of the Holtenau district. In the living area next to the window is a comfortable lounge/sleeper sofa (2.persons) and a large wooden dining table for four people. There is a flat screen TV in the living area. Opposite the dining area you enter the open kitchen. The kitchenette is fully equipped. Thus, in addition to a refrigerator including freezer compartment, there is also a dishwasher and oven in the kitchen.
In the second room is the sleeping area. Here you will find a 1.80m double bed and a large closet during your stay. The entire apartment is laid out. The interior bathroom is equipped with a toilet, sink and spacious shower.

The Tiessenkai was already built in 1895 during the construction of the Kiel Canal. The former protection and safety harbor is today gladly visited by old cargo sailboats, which offer group trips. There are numerous restaurants and bistros within walking distance of the Tiessenkai, which invite you to linger. To the west, the quay merges into a green area, in the middle of which stands the Holtenau lighthouse. If you walk further along the promenade, you will reach the old seaside bathing establishment, a facility standing on wooden piles in the water with changing rooms, a sun terrace and wide companionways to the water.
