Fantastic hotel, location, very modern rooms cannot fault it
Only issue drink prices expensive

All the staff worked exceptionally hard to make our visit a success. In particular Gabriella went above and beyond to assist us. Thank you.
I don't like having music playing when I'm in a restaurant. I realise I may be in the minority, but it annoys me because it interferes with conversation. The stunning views, beautiful building, tasty food and good company don't need somebody else's soundtrack. Music was even played at breakfast!

The Royal Inn is a little gem of a hotel, overlooking the Bristol Channel. Lovely staff, lovely decor, fabulous bathroom (that bath!!) and a super comfortable bed.
The room was absolutely lovely, but the addition of bathrobes and a fridge would make it completely perfect.

Very nice room and bathroom.Quiet luxury.Good Parking,Good restaurant
Very noisy.Since 10.30 pm untill 12 .pm in the night you cant sleep.Room over the restaurant and back warehouse and litter containers. So they finish work clean throw garbage bags, bump flying doors ,work in progress and the building is old wooden ceilings you know ,you hear everything even talking.
So GOOD MORNING at six o clock General manager Kaman Miller is sleeping at home ,but people start to work.
Of course Room number 3 is at duty again,
Thank you.By the way hotel was empty, why they put us in this room?????

Ver good quiet location. Food was amazing and Gabriella, the Assistant Manager, I guess, went beyond her ways to be sure we had a very good dinner in our room. Breakfast was lovely
Third party Electric Charging was costly.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Royal Inn Portishead on the 30th of December for one night, and it was truly an amazing experience. The recently refurbished inn boasts comfortable accommodations with spacious bathrooms, exuding a luxurious ambiance throughout. Additionally, one of the rooms offered a breathtaking view over the estuary.
The restaurant at the inn is not only cozy but also possesses a distinctive personality. My visit included both dinner and breakfast, both of which were delightful culinary experiences. The inn provides ample parking spaces, including facilities for electric car charging, which is a convenient and thoughtful touch.
While the overall experience was fantastic, it's worth noting that one of the rooms tended to be a bit chilly. However, with a bit of adjustment and some cozying up, we managed to make ourselves comfortable.

Breakfast was good for the price. Coffee was a little weak. We would like a later Breakfast but not on business trip. The coffee/ teas etc in the room were a good selection. Nice furnishings. Comfy bed. Very nice evening meal.
Pillows a bit solid. Breakfast coffee rather tasteless and weak.

Excellent accommodation, everything is brand new.
Great location with views across the estuary.
Friendly and helpful staff.
An excellent stay overall.
Everything was as good or better than expected.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The minute you walk in you are greeted with a smile. It is spotlessly clean, very nicely furnished and very comfortable. Food was excellent.

Very nice hotel well decorated and with a good restaurant. Staff very polite and welcoming.
Unfortunately our room was cold but was only a problem with a section of the hotel. The bed was a bit too small.
4.6
Fantastic grand building with great decor situated by the seaside. We were warmly greeted on arrival by Chris who was very friendly and personable. The room was large and spotless, with a great sized walk-in shower. The breakfast was very tasty and the coffee included a small freshly baked cookie - a nice touch. We very much enjoyed our stay.
The pillows could have been softer, but that would be the only thing to make the stay more comfortable.
4.6
Stunning location. Rooms were refurbished to a high standard, lovely touches on filter coffee sachets and a fresh milk flask to be filled up by the team. Food in the restaurant was delicious.
Team on site were warm and welcoming, and for a solo traveller that's super important.
Nothing, fabulous experience can't wait to return.

The close proximity to the coastal path was great. The views and general ambiance in the hotel were lovely. I would stay there again.
Nothing. The room was a little warm for me at night, but this is very subjective as I find this in all hotels!
4.6
A lovely hotel with large, well designed rooms, a comfortable bed, great staff and located near the marina. We enjoyed an evening meal which was excellent and reasonably priced. We would certainly stay again.

4.6
Very friendly staff, nice breakfast room, comfy bed
The property looks a bit different in reality, and the rooms are a bit run down.

L’emplacement, la décoration des différents espaces.
Le personnel souriant et accueillant.

Location,tasteful decor,cleanliness & helpful and friendly staff
Bed pillows very small and hard and hence particularly uncomfortable

The room and bath were very nice!
Flys and other insects on the breakfast foods. Only covered with napkins., management should provide screens to cover unattended food. Dining room had flying insects while we were eating. Although we love dogs, dogs allowed in dining, was not our favorite environment. Short staffing to support breakfast, resulted in service delays.
4.6
Location of the hotel was lovely. However they are limited on parking spaces having allocated 4 of the total available to electric charging points - all of which were empty.
Dinner was very good. Breakfast lovely although a little pricey at £10.50 for the full English. Continental good value.
Staff were all excellent and could not have been more helpful and accommodating.
We would definitely return but they are very busy. We wanted to stay an extra night on the Saturday but they were fully booked.
Car parking.
Because it is a lovely old building there are no lifts so you do need to be mindful of that when booking. Luckily we only had one overnight bag each rather than suitcases, but our room was up a flight of stairs, then down some stairs, then up another flight then through a door and down a corridor. You need to be physically fit to manage that although I’m sure that if any guest had a problem with that the staff would be there to help.
4.6
Nice room, clean and good decor.
Friendly staff.
Staff were very harassed at breakfast, breakfast was expensive for what it is.
We ordered cappuccinos, understanding that a hot drink was included but we were not informed until the time of payment that this was an additional cost. This was not mentioned by the waiting staff not was this listed on the menu. I think this is poor as prices should be transparent.
4.6
The breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful.
I didn’t like the the artificial intelligence that answered the phone when I booked dinner. I had some questions about dinner but was unable to speak to a person. It was a yes no responsive AI with very limited assistance. I could not get the information I needed or ask questions.
The food served at dinner was not good and let the lovely hotel, excellent serving staff and scenic location down.
4.6
The breakfast was well presented and there was a good choice
The building is really impressive inside and out, with a lovely beer garden and we enjoyed the short walk to the marina
Parking was easy
We had a double room with sea view, it was really very nice, with an impressive bathroom.
I can't think of anything.

There was a beautiful entrance with easy parking & electric charger we used. A stunning property beautifully refurbished.
Nothing it exceeded our expectations!

Beautiful clean modern bedrooms, sea views, everything you needed.
Breakfast, lots of choice. Continental and a menu with lots of cooked to order. We also ate their on both evenings. Again plenty of choice.
Staff , very welcoming and friendly. Short walk down steps to the Marina. Will definitely return.

Great location and a lovely hotel. We had a good sized room with an excellent bathroom. The shower cubicle was a generous size and the shower easy to operate (not always a given in hotel rooms). There were two easy chairs which was a bonus as many double rooms just have one. Plenty of lighting options and a good selection of tea and coffee. Tasteful decor and really peaceful. Breakfast was well laid out and offered plenty of choice. Cooked breakfast was great.
The bedroom window did not open. The duty manager was aware but not able to get it fixed during our stay but we were only there one night.

- location (the marina is so cute)
- bedrooms are spotless- can tell it’s recently been refurbed to a high standard
- staff are so lovely and welcoming. Refreshing
- keycards not yet made for rooms, having to grab staff to access each time
- Room 10 a little hot- can’t open window fully
- little bit of a wait for breakfast, but lovely once arrived

The location and the decor.

Fabulous location. Friendly and attentive staff. Lovely well equipped and decorated rooms and great food. Highly recommended.
Some flies in restaurant. But you are near the water and this would be expected.

I am close to saying that this was the nicest hotel I ever stayed in. Every detail was carefully chosen.
... that i couldn't stay longer...
Fridge would have been nice.
