About this apartment rental
This is a completely renovated, very spacious, (70 sq m) property with 2 double bedrooms, both ensuite.The main bedroom has a balcony with a view of the beach and both bedrooms have fantastic views of Fort St-Elme and Fort Dugommier. The second bedroom has an additional single bed and a cot is available on request.. Both rooms are en-suite with shower, WC, sink and heated towel rail. There is a remote controlled electric ceiling fan in the main bedroom and a stand alone fan in the second bedroom. Bed linen and towels are included. The apartment is ideal for a family of four or five or two adult couples.
The bright open living\dining area has a modern fully fitted kitchen, equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including free Wifi and a Nespresso machine! Other utilities include an induction hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron, and hairdryer. The 'salon' had an integrated TV/DVD player with a selection of adult and children's French and English DVDs and access to TV d'Orange. There is an electric ceiling fan that keeps the entire living area cool. There's a large indoor dining table with 6 chairs. A high chair is also available.
The living room opens onto a balcony with views over Collioure and the famous clock tower, church and castle. The apartment is south/south west facing so the balconies get great afternoon and evening sun. You can sit on the balcony, sip a glass of rosé wine or two, and watch the sun set over Collioure as the clock tower, castle, L'Eglise Notre Dame Les Anges and the promenade light up.
There is direct access to a small sandy beach which is ideal for families as it offers safe swimming and snorkeling without having to cross any roads. There is no lifeguard so children must be supervised at all times. The main beaches of Collioure, with a playground, carousel and an enticing selection of restaurants, are less a 20-minute coastal stroll away or you can take the €1 bus from right outside the 'Résidence'. These beaches offer kayak and standup paddle board hire as well as boat trips along the coast between Collioure, Argeles-Sur-Mer, and Port Vendre. There is free parking available in the visitor's car park and there are also usually spaces free directly outside the apartment, covered private parking is also available.
Port Vendre, an active fishing port with a great selection of fish restaurants, is only a 10-minute walk away along a coastal path that passes another small beach suitable for swimming and sunbathing. Lidl supermarket is less than a 5-minute walk from the apartment.
For walkers, Fort St-Elme and Fort Dugommiercan be reached in 10-15 minutes from a path across the road from the 'Résidence', the incredible views are worth the short climb and once on this elevation, there are endless marked walkways to choose from whatever your walking level. The famous 'moulan' is also a short walk away.
We have been holidaying in Collioure for over 15 years and although at one time we owned a property a 20-minute drive away it has long been our dream to have our own apartment in Collioure. After years of searching, we finally found this property which has an idyllic location, given the breathtaking views, the sunny aspect and the proximity to the sea. We have had it completely renovated and decorated to the highest standards to include all of the facilities we feel make a holiday enjoyable. The property is easily accessible from Perpignan (20 min drive), Girona (55 min drive), Carcassone (90min drive) and Barcelona (2hr drive) airports. Collioure train station is a 30-minute walk from the apartment or a 5min bus/taxi ride.

Die Wohnung ist bestens geeignet für Familienurlaub. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut und die Wohnungsverwalter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Blick vom Balkon ist einfach ein Traum - man schaut direkt auf das schöne Collioure. Die Lage der Wohnung ist super: gelegen in einem kleinen Wohngebiet, 100 m zur Badebucht Les Batteries, ca. 1 km von Collioure entfernt, Port Vendre ist noch näher. Den nächsten Lidl erreicht man in 5 Minuten zu Fuß.

Arrivés avec la peur que l'annonce soit trop belle pour être vraie... au final une vraie belle découverte !! En revanche il ne faut pas avoir peur de marcher... prévoir 15 min/aller jusqu'aux centres animés de Collioure ou de Port Vendre... car service de bus peu fiable car très prisé... pas de restaurants ni bars plus proches... l'appartement est idéalement situé pour la beauté de sa vue faisant face à la ville et à - de 100m de 2 jolies criques .. mais attention chaussures de plage indispensables !!! Rochers, algues et vie sous marine qui peuvent rendre la baignade compliquée des petits comme des grands ;-) appartement équipé de ventilateurs mais pas de climatisation ce qui doit rendre compliquées les vraies nuits de saison chaude.. très bien fourni en vaisselle et accessoires. Et intermédiaire Michelle et son mari Neil très réactifs en cas de besoin. Communication écrite hyper aisée. Nous recommandons vivement.

Superbe appartement avec vue
Appartement idéalement situé entre Collioure et Port Vendres. Grand salon avec canapés confortables et balcon avec vue sur la baie de Collioure. Deux chambres avec SDB attenante,literie de très bonne qualité. Cuisine très bien équipée. Nous avons apprécié la propreté de l appartement et les modalités d arrivée (renseignements complets envoyés par mail et clés dans box sécurisée). La résidence est calme. Seul regret : pas de volet roulant dans une chambre, rideaux occultants. Excellent séjour à part ce détail.Merci !

Appartement fonctionnel et idéalement placé
L'appartement est très bien, il n'y manque rien, la vue est superbe, à 20 min de Collioure et 1 min de la plage. Je recommande vivement la location. Le seul problème a été au moment de l'arrivée où nous avons été confrontés à un problème de communication et à un manque de respect flagrant. La propriétaire ne veut rien avoir à faire avec la location et ne souhaite pas qu'on la contacte. Elle a cependant oublié de nous envoyer le code pour entrer dans les lieux (ce qui est plutot utile) et quand nous avons enfin réussi à la joindre, nous avons eu affaire à la personne la plus désagréable qu'il m'ait été permis de rencontrer : elle nous a accusé de mentir et nous a donné le code de mauvaise grace.
Cela étant dit, nous avons tout de même passé un excellent séjour !

What a nice place!
We are a family of 4 and we stopped there 3 days (4 nights) and it was perfect for us. The place is on the top floor with three balconies facing north west with a wonderful (incredible) view on the mountains, part of Collioure and the ocean. It is in sunlight for a long part of the day until sunset.
There is no AC but has ceiling fans and a floor fan. We slept with all doors opened without a problem and slept well. The master bedroom bed was super comfortable.
Has two bedrooms (two double beds + bunk bed) and main living area has two sofa beds. Both bedrooms have a private bathroom, one with a washing machine.
A private covered garage is also included but we parked right in front (easier come and go to the car). You can also walk to the Lidl supermarket at the corner on the main road.
It is located in a very quiet area, two beaches walking distance (one on each side of the compound) and water is clear enough for snorkelling.
Bottom line: we REALLY enjoyed our stay.

That and a over the top spacious and modern interior allowed for a restful stay. The administration, of the property was efficient and cordial and the premises were tidy and immaculately clean.
I travel mostly by train and found frequent connections to Avignon and Carcassonne, while making flight connections via Toulouse. I think this car free style of travel is a great alternative to the stress of renting, parking, and navigating.
This village life was nice, quiet, and friendly with both fellow travelers and local folks making this, truly, a Home away from Home!

Overall excellent.
Very clean and tidy - genuinely looks like the photos. Everything you might need for two weeks is there and in good condition. Excellent view of Collioure castle, clock tower etc. Very close to Les Batteries' small beach. Minor issue of locks overcome swiftly and with professionalism. Apt. does face the sun so main bedroom especially did get very hot in the exceptional weather they had in Aug 2018 - aircon would have been a boon. We were unable to use the covered car parking spot with our saloon, as someone appears to routinely park their car in the area needed to access the spot. We did however find parking outside the flats most of the time. It is two flights up however, so if disabled in any way, this would be a challenge, particularly as the dark stairwell lights automatically turn off quite quickly. Fridge we found small for just us two. All-in-all, as old hands in Collioure/Les Batteries, wouldn't hesitate in recommending or staying again.

The apartment was spacious, bright and spotlessly clean. The views were lovely and it was great to be able to walk to Collioure or Port Vendres and not have to having to bother about parking. Snorkelling from the beach beside the flat was amazing . We clambered over the rocks to get a (tiny) pebbly cove all to ourselves each day. Would return again without hesitation.

Excellent modern apartment close to Collioure
We stayed at this wonderful apartment which is located approx. half way between the two towns of Collioure and Port Vendre.
The apartment has everything you need plus more. Everything seems to have been updated very recently and everything seem almost new. Excellent cooking facilities and the Bathrooms are very clean and newly decorated. There was plenty of space (we were 2 Adults and 3 Children under 6 years). In the 2nd Bedroom, there was a very large Bunk-bed and our 3 small children loved sleeping in this.
There is a Multi-story Car park (with a dedicated space for the apartment) very close by but we used to park directly in front of the Apartment as it was a little more convenient for us (as we had prams, toys etc..) and there was always space.
There are 3 balconies and my wife, and I used to sit out at night with a glass of red wine (just like in the pictures).
The TV, wifi are all excellent.
There is a small beach right in front of the Apartment. It was always crowded, so as there were 5 of us, we simply didn’t use it. However, I’m sure if you were just a couple, it would be fine.
We used to get into the Car and within only ~10 mins drive, there were the excellent long stretches of beaches in Argeles Plage. Parking at this beach is effortless too, with 200 spaces right in front of the beach.
A SatNav is recommended as the multitude of roads around this area as the roads can be confusing at first.
Shopping for food is very convenient as there is a Lidl within a few minutes’ walk and other supermarkets in Port Vendres (15 min walk). We used the Lidl all the time.
Collioure is a beautiful town. Parking there is stressful however and almost impossible during the day/weekend. However, it's so easy to walk into Collioure. I measured it at 1.3km (15-20 minutes) to the town center. The thing is it doesn’t feel even that long as the walk is along the coastline and there are beautiful views all the way. You will end up looking forward to the walk and take pictures along the way. Even with small kids, it was a pleasure to walk in and out.
Collioure is a great place to just wander around and there are restaurants everywhere and most have an English and children’s Menu if you ask.
In summary, we really enjoyed ourselves at this Apartment and would have no hesitation in re-booking it again.

Points of attention in the choice:
- seagull very active in the early morning so inf you are late spleepers better pass - BUT the light and temperature are the best at that time in hot summer
- if hot summer, absence of air condiinnning might burden cold lovers
Points of excellence :
- walking distance from Collioure and Port Venders (1 km each ways) is very nice for morning coffees on different terrace
- the small beach at 100m from the apartment is very nice and offers a large protected swimming creek
- apartment is large, 2 bathrooms (practical) and well equiped

We spent an excellent four day vacation in this apartment which is spacious and decorated with taste for holiday comfort. The beds were comfortable as were also the pull-out sofas in the living room. Perfectly located Collioure apartment
This is a very well equipped apartment with everything you could want. Plenty of space (we were four people). Excellent cooking facilities and very nice bathrooms. From the balcony there are fabulous views of Collioure. Access is easy including trouble-free parking.
It is perfectly located for both beach visits and regional sightseeing. The beach is a couple of minutes away. It does get crowded so it pays to get down early to claim a spot (this means getting your towels set out - you can leave them and come back later!). The water is very clear so it's perfect for snorkeling.
It's also easy to get on to fast roads that give you quick access to the region and there are so many places to visit. Getting around Perpignan can be slow at peak times - a SatNav is recommended as the multitude of roads around Perpignan can be confusing at first. It's also convenient for the motorway for Spain in the west or for Languedoc in the east for longer trips. We got to France via Gerona airport which is about an hour and a half away so very easy.
Shopping for food is very convenient. There is a Lidl within a 5 minute walk (just like Lidl in the UK with a few additional local products), and other supermarkets in Port Vendres which are 10 minutes or so by car. It's easy to walk into Collioure (15-20 minutes) which is really useful because parking there is impossible. It's a great place to just wander around and it has several places for excellent local wines and foods, and some interesting art shops. There are restaurants everywhere.
In summary, I don't thinks you could improve on this apartment as a holiday venue.
