About this cabin rental
Pear Tree Cabin is a perfect getaway for 2 and is situated just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, bars and shops.
It has tea & coffee making facilities & a fridge, not quite a kitchen but you have room to make a packed lunch to take out with you on your beach days.
This really is a hotel style luxury, but with the benefit of a large outdoor space and total privacy. A base great for trips, special occasions or visiting friends or family.
You check in using a key box code. I am however local to the area, so if you need anything or have any questions, I am only a phone call away and a short drive!
The beautiful castle and gardens is a gentle stroll along Tankerton Slopes and the harbour with freshly caught seafood is just a few minutes further. You can take boat tours on the Greta to see the World War II forts and glimpse the seals bathing. The train station is only a 12 minute walk so is easily commutable from London plus there are regular buses to nearby Herne Bay and Canterbury.
You have access to all areas in the property.
The luxurious cabin is open planned with a super-comfy king size bed and designer bedding, making you feel relaxed and at home. The living area has a soft velvet sofa-bed and cushions (made by local designers, such as; Margo Selby), throws and blankets for those colder evenings, dining table/workspace and a large smart tv mounted to the wall. Perfect for a nice cup of tea or coffee in the morning on the patio. The beautiful modern bathroom boasts a walk in shower (perfect for washing off the sea salt after a morning swim), a basin & a WC.
Outside, is your own private garden with a bistro table and chairs and a super comfy egg chair for 2.
From here you have the best seat in the house to enjoy (with a glass of your favourite tipple) from an elevated position, Whitstable's famous sunsets!
This really is a hotel styled luxury, but with the benefit of a large outdoor space and total privacy.
There is free on-street parking on the road and surrounding roads.
You can also visit the Just Park website to find out where to park in Whitstable.
No smoking.
Please keep a noise to a minimum after 10pm to respect the neighbours.
Please note: For safety reasons, we can't accommodate young children staying at the property due to steep steps in the garden. There is a travel cot for a newborn and a single sofa bed for a child over the age of 10. Please request these at the time of booking.

A lovely little place to stay. Good points: well furnished; great outdoor space with sun for most of the day, including sunsets; good range of outdoor furniture; great bathroom and shower; comfy bed. Points to improve: a few cobwebs which we got rid of on arrival but would not have expected to have to do so; no microwave - one was listed on the vrbo listing; no separate sink in the food prep area - we had to use the bathroom sink - not ideal. The price we paid for this cabin was very reasonable. We would have been prepared to pay more for more attention to detail and luxury touches.
