About this apartment rental
The studio is in an ideal location right in the centre of the hill village of Fayence. It is on the ground floor in the Rue du Chateau, a quiet street which goes from the bell tower at the top of the village down to the Place de la Republique. This square, only 50 metres away from the studio, has a bar, 4 restaurants and a snack bar. Although Rue du Chateau is a pedestrian street the studio is easily accessed by car for unloading etc. as it 's opposite an archway which leads into the Grand Rue du Chateau, where there is vehicle access. When you have unloaded you can continue up to park in one of the many car parks. When you are sitting on the patio outside the studio you look directly on to this very attractive archway (see one of the photos).
Renovation work, to a very high standard, was finished at the end of 2010. The well thought out floor plan and tasteful decoration make it a perfect place to stay.
Perfect studio in a perfect place: It's great being in the centre of everything, which is why when we first saw the studio we could see it's potential. We knew it would be somewhere where we'd like to stay ourselves, and where we could be proud to put family and friends. For this reason we made sure everything was well thought out and to a high standard. Although we could probably make more money by letting it year round we couldn't bear the thought of signing it over to someone else!
Although many people would have maximised rental potential by putting in a sofa bed so that 4 people could be accommodated, we preferred to make it more comfortable for a couple.
There is good storage space, and things like vacuum cleaner, brooms etc. and clothes drying rack are located in the adjoining corridor.
The Fayence area has a lot to offer. It is 45 minutes from Nice Airport, 30 minutes from Cannes and St Raphael. The Pays de Fayence is a very beautiful and sought after area, the scenery is breathtaking and all the villages are well kept and have free parking.
There is a new scheme to encourage the use of public transport, so you can go anywhere in the Var department for 2 euros on the bus, and a bit more to get into the Alpes Maritimes - only just over the departmental border.
However, there is all you need in the village itself, and interesting walks in the environs. The Tourist Office in the village can provide you with leaflets and information on what's on in the area.
Life in the village: One of the reasons that make the studio such an enjoyable place to stay is the proximity of shops, as well as the good restaurants (15 in the village and many more in the surrounding countryside). The village restaurants are all very close (the nearest, La Strega, is only about 25 metres away in the grand Rue du Chateau), Equally, for breakfast you can buy your croissants at the baker's, and then take them to one of the bars to enjoy whilst having your 'café crème'. In France it's quite usual to do this, although some bars do their own breakfast, which includes juice, baguette and jam as well as the hot drink and croissant. Not far away, along a narrow pathway which joins the Grand Rue du Chateau to one of the the car parks, is the well stocked and friendly Casino supermarket, which also stocks bakery products and international newspapers.

Small studio apartment in a good location
Fayence is a lovely village and the apartment is centrally located to everything we needed. Good information provided on local services. Well appointed (no oven). Tony and Marjie were very helpful and easy to deal with. The apartment is very small but functional the only issue being there are no windows so no fresh air gets in when the entry door is shut. Nice little balcony/terrace to sit outside weather permitting. Wi fi set up not good when we were there.

Charming village and great hosts.
We had a wonderful stay in Marjie and Tony's apartment in Fayence. The apartment is small but spotless and well appointed, with friendly locals (neighbour cat). We had a wonderful week and have great memories of wandering the cobbled streets and exploring the village. We had some lovely meals in the local cafes and restaurants. From Fayence you could do many day trips but the reality was that for us, most of the time we just relaxed and enjoyed village life. We had a six week stay in Europe and most certainly would visit this area again using Fayence as our base. Once again, thank you Marjie and Tony for making our stay a very pleasant one.

Fayence Studio
One of the nicest places we stayed in during our 4 week tour of France. Very clean, modern and comfortable in a beautiful hilltop village. It is small, but extremely well laid out with every amenity. Close to local shops and restaurants. Thank you Tony and Marjie for your friendly advice on the towns best spots and activites. Highly recommended.

Great place for a holiday
We spent 5 nights in Fayence in late June. The property was just what we needed as a base from which to explore the area. It was clean, well-maintained, well-equipped and in an excellent spot in the town. The studio was exactly as described, and the photos are spot on. They even had English Freesat so I was able to keep up with the progress at Wimbledon! I would certainly recommend this property to any friend of mine and if we were ever to return to Fayence, we would try to stay here again.
The property owners were friendly and accommodating and all our dealings with them were completely hassle free.
The town of Fayence itself has lots to recommend it, with good restaurants and shops (we ate at L'Entracte and La Farigoulette - the latter more pricey but excellent) and a lovely market on Sat/Tue/Thur. There are lots of vinyards in the area too so it's easy to purchase some of the local Rose! I would recommend a car to make the most of a stay in the area and be warned that it gets very, very hot from late June through to mid September!
All in all we had a great week and would love to return!

French atmosphere in Fayence
We spent very nice time in the studio in historical center of Fayence. You are surrounded by various french essences and flavours in this area. Wide menu of interesting places to visit here. You are close to Côte d'Azur, mountains and meny other glamorous points. You feel really familliar in the studio, you are part of daily life of the inhabitants of Fayance and you can also spend remarkable moments here. Although the studio is in the center of city (village) life you will enjoy the charm of intimacy as well.
Thank you very much.
