A very special stay which we will remember always.

The location was amazing. Views of the river night and day on a historic vessel. Very special! Delicious breakfast and charming host who provided a special little extra which was delightful!

The walk from the car park was further than expected and would be unpleasant in wet weather. Also climbing steep steps to the rooms would be difficult for the infirm.

A perfect break

We have just had a lovely two night stay on this boat . Location was superb , peaceful even though it was near M20 an easy walk along the river into Rochester . Room decoration nicely thought out. Superb Breakfast with plenty of choice . Would highly recommend staying here

A delightful quirky place to stay and relax by the river.

Eunha & Jeremy have done an excellent job refurbishing this 1839 ship and creating two beautiful rooms. They are cosy and comfortable with great views over the estuary. It’s a peaceful and quirky place to stay. Breakfast choices are good and there is lots of it.

Novel & pleasant experience

The hosts were very accommodating, the view's were amazing and the extra added touches in the room like chocolate wafers with tea and coffee facilities and toiletries in the bathroom were appreciated.

The only small detail which would of made it slightly more convenient was the car parking, we were quite far from the room so quite a journey to travel luggage from.

Wonderful stay

It was a very cosy room, beautifully furnished with a very comfortable bed. Beauyiful view at night over the river. Excellent breakfast! Very friendly hosts. We will definitely be back

Beautiful location with character and a friendly welcome.

It was different. I wanted something special. Great view, wonderful breakfast, lovely hostess.

We enjoy being outdoors, spend several hours sitting in the sun on deck. But for those less adventurous, be aware you might need a rain coat to go to breakfast if it is raining. Not a problem for us.

Originalità, cura dei dettagli e dell’estetica, esperienza fuori dal comune, accoglienza simpaticissima.

Nessuna indicazione per trovare il posto in un ambiente quasi da cantiere - c’è voluto un po’ di tempo a chiedere a dei locali, rumorosità del ponte autostradale poco distante, prima colazione certo molto buona e curata ma non proprio English Breakfast Style. Tutto ciò non sarebbe molto grave, se non fosse per il prezzo piuttosto elevato in proporzione.

Lightship gets our beacon of approval

Great experience to spend a night on this historic vessel. Very friendly hosts who have worked hard to transform their floating family home into bespoke bed and breakfast accommodation. Spectacular views across the River Medway and within walking distance (30 minutes) of the historic town of Rochester. Secure parking within a Marina and close to a cosy pub serving excellent food at good prices.

In the depths of winter extra blankets would be good.

Lovely location with lovely views and great to stay on a boat.

Was great to have breakfast included. Myself was very happy with continental but the other half was expecting a cooked breakfast. There was plenty of choice for me and loved the mixed fruit. We also had pancakes with fresh fruit which my little one really enjoyed especially as it was child themed. (Mickey mouse) I believe.

Stairs up/down from room were quite steep. There is a handrail but still a bit nervous of little one doing it on his own. (Being an independent one which likes to do everything by himself) 😬

A fantastic place to unwind

The setting and views are wonderful. The room was charming and delightful. The lovely peaceful ambience was perfect for anyone wanting to get away from modern urban life for a break. The breakfast was fabulous.

Novelty setting. Wine glasses in room. View of the river. Friendly locals. Secure carpark.

Room that I booked, based on pics on website, did not reflect room offered on arrival. But, owner amended description on website upon realising this, after my comment to him. Saying that, I would be happy to stay there again.

Truly unique stay

The property was incredibly unique, exceptionally clean and in the most beautiful location. What a treasure! It’s obvious the hosts have put so much though and consideration into the little details. Our hosts also went above and beyond serving us the most beautiful breakfast and even homemade teddybear pancakes for a boys, needless to say they were grilled. Would love to stay again and recommend.

Highly recommended

A wonderful unique property with a fascinating history, restored with great care by the owners to provide a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Facilities were all excellent; friendly helpful host and a very good continental breakfast in a lovely dining area. It was a treat to wake up to life on the river!

An amazing place to stay

It feels like a really original place to stay, the boat has history as a floating lighthouse. Now it's parked up right on the edge of the Medway. We enjoyed staying here and seeing the changing skies and all the other boats out of the windows. When we arrived, the hosts gave us tea and cake and we watched a sunset from the slightly windy terrace outside! The bedroom has loads of nice design touches, and the breakfast room is lovely too with a well-presented continental breakfast.

The location is a little far from Rochester Town and there isn't a frequent bus service. We enjoyed walking in to town along the esplanade in the day (lots of riverview flats to admire), and along the higher residential road at night (lots of nice old houses). It takes about 20-30 minutes. The room was warm and seemed well sound proofed as we didn't really hear the busy road nearby. I suggest taking an eye mask so you can sleep in through the bright sunrise!

Wonderful

A fantastic rental, wonderful views, great hosts, & a lovely continental breakfast. Comfortable bed, tea & coffee facilities in our room & the bottle of wine & nibbles was a lovely touch. Great location, 20 min walk into town & Rochester Castle. Great Sunday roast at the local pub the White horse which is 5 minutes walk from the marina. We would highly recommend & would definitely return. Thank you to our hosts 😊

Everything was great. But a few more photos of the lovely views on the website would be great.

Lovely quirky location and views are incredible.

We loved the property, it was in the perfect location for us, the ship is wonderfully quirky and the hosts are superb. Our only negative was the hot water runs out quickly (but heated up again in a very short time) and we’d have preferred a kingsize bed but these are just small things. We would come again, we loved it.
