About this apartment rental
Recently renovated rustic Muskoka Lodge at the Hollow Valley Resort. The 10 acre property is currently being developed with many cabins under construction. Located on the Hollow River with boat access to Lake of Bays.
This suite is on the main floor and has a queen bed, 2 lounge chairs, large washroom with shower, private deck, kitchenette and access to a full communal kitchen. NO TV.
The main lodge has a public lounge with full bar and live entertainment on weekends during high season. YOU MAY HEAR MUSIC LATE ON WEEKENDS.
This cabin and the main lodge have been beautifully renovated but the rest of the property is under construction. New cabins are being built and older cabins are being renovated and eventually landscaping. Guests are free to roam the property and enjoy the river but please to not enter any buildings other than the main lodge, especially any buildings that are under construction. Owners and staff are onsite to help our guests.
Dorset is a quaint village with a beautiful waterfront and amenities such as a General Store, Home Hardware, ice cream shop, 3 restaurants, LCBO and several retail shops. Other attractions include the famous fire tower and boat lunch tours of Lake of Bays on the Bigwin steamboat. It is about a 2 minute drive by car to the village of Dorset. You can also walk or travel by water but it is recommended to have a car to get around in Muskoka.
Huntsville is 30 minutes away and Bracebridge is about 40 minutes away. Algonquin Park is very close as well.
There are limited food options in Dorset, especially after 7pm. Most establishments have unreliable hours during the week but are consistent on weekends. We do not currently offer food at our establishment but we are hoping to offer food soon. Make sure to hit up Robinson’s General Store before 7pm to buy groceries. We have a full communal kitchen and shared BBQs for you to use.
