DESCRIPTION OF THE BUILDING AND NEIGHBORHOOD:

The apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a monumental historic building from the beginning of the 20th century by Adolf Szyszko-Bohusz, one of the most outstanding Polish architects of the first half of the 20th century and a leading representative of historicism and modernism in Poland, as well as the main conservator of the Wawel Hill in Cracow and the Royal Castle in Warsaw.
Amongst his creations are multiple architectural gems in and around Cracow, including the monumental office of the Krakow’s branch of PKO Bank Polski, Przegorzały Castle, Feniks office building (located in Main Market Square) or the Castle of the President of the Republic of Poland in Wisła.
Due to its unique design the building has featured in multiple film productions, most recently in 2019’s “Mr Jones” biographical film directed by Agnieszka Holland.

Zyblikiewicza Street, where the building is located, provides an excellent location in the heart of the city. Surrounded by the iconic monuments of Cracow, the property provides access to a variety of attractions at your fingertips. The apartment is just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful Main Square with St. Mary's Basilica, the Cloth Hall and the Town Hall Tower. The unique Old Town area, full of atmospheric restaurants and cafes is bustling at any time of the day or night. The Wawel Royal Castle and the nearby Vistula River boulevards are 1.4 km from the apartment. Desiring a moment of respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, the Planty park with its alleys, surrounding the historic center of Cracow (220 m), will be an ideal refuge. The vicinity of the apartment certainly boasts a wealth of gastronomic, cultural, historical and service facilities. Getting to other districts on the map of Cracow is also not a problem, thanks to a thriving public transport system. On the nearby streets there are numerous bus and streetcar stops for easy and convenient movement around the city.

My wife and had traveled to Krakow this past November and stayed at the hotel Saski. We had such a wonderful time I wanted to return and bring my cousin and adult son to experience Krakow. The hotel for 2 weeks and our group wasn't a good solution so gladly I found this apartment. It is a larger apartment, great location and amenities for whatever you choose. Somewhat unusual for Europe it has A/C not that we needed it. Very usual for Europe it is on the (US) third floor so if you had lots of luggage as we did or limited mobility be aware. I think you'll find similar situations in most Krakow apartments though. A work out but certainly a small price to pay for such a perfect stay. One small advice only 1 set of door keys but my clever son said just put them in the lockbox and everyone has the combination! Brilliant I knew I had taken him along for a reason, that and to carry the luggage!
