About this house rental
This house, originally an 80s desert bungalow is magical. It was purchased in late 2020, stripped back to the studs and completely reimagined; to a tasteful, elegant and modern escape, with all the creature comforts that you would want.
Perched on 1.5 acres of natural desert, this house is a complement of comfort, energy efficiency & art.
Four minutes to local stores, eight minutes to the main town of Joshua Tree. Blackout curtains, fire pit, high end sound system, chairs to sit in the sun or under the stars, hidden rooms, instant gas hot water, Wifi, HVAC with humidification, complete house filtered water, chef style stove, stainless steel appliances throughout, custom made dining table, bathroom vanities & natural stone.
Level 2 EV charging outlet available on request. (need to bring your own cable) fire pit. Miele washer & Dryer, iron, espresso machine.
House Rules
If you intend to use the hot tub, you will need to adjust the setting a few hours prior to use.
Clothing must be worn in the hot tub at all times.
Do not add anything to the hot tub water. Bath bombs and scented items are NOT ALLOWED. The addition of these items alters the chemical balance and can then mean that the water needs to be emptied and refilled completely.
The instructions can be found in the house manual. If you do use the hot tub, please make sure you place the cover back on the hot tub directly after use, as the wind (if it picks up) can blow it off, and the hot tub can end up with a great deal of dirt in it, which can mean extra cleaning costs.

No radio receiver, musical instrument, phonograph, compact disk player, loudspeaker, karaoke machine, sound amplifier, or any machine, device or equipment that produces or reproduces any sound shall be used outside or be audible from the outside of any short-term vacation rental unit between the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. and seven o'clock (7:00) A.M.
It is unlawful for any owner, renter, occupant or guest located at a short-term vacation rental unit to make, cause to be made, or allow to be made any loud, excessive, impulsive, or intrusive noise that disturbs the peace or quiet or that causes discomfort or annoyance to any reasonable person of normal sensitivities in the area. Such types of noises or actions causing noises include, but are not limited to, yelling, shouting, hooting, whistling, singing, playing a musical instrument, emitting or transmitting any loud music or noise from any mechanical or electrical sound making or sound amplifying device, and the habitual barking, howling or crowing of animals.
The standard for enforcement of this subsection E is the "reasonable person" standard. The inquiry is whether the noise would disturb the peace or quiet or cause discomfort or annoyance to a reasonable person under the same or similar circumstances.
Factors that may be considered in determining whether a violation of this subsection E has been committed include, but are not limited to the following: the level of noise; the level and intensity of the background (ambient noise), if any; the proximity of the noise to the residential unit in question; the time of day or night the noise occurs; the duration of the noise; whether the noise is constant, recurrent or intermittent; and whether the noise is produced by a mechanical or electronic device.
Failure to comply with the requirements of this chapter, including parking and occupancy standards, as well as public and private nuisance standards, are a violation of this Code, and that such violation may result in enforcement actions to address the violation. These may include actions to abate the nonconformity, the institution of criminal, civil, or administrative actions, or, under certain circumstances, the calling of law enforcement for the removal of guests and their vehicles from the property to the extent authorized by law. The notification shall state in a prominent format that users of the unit are prohibited from disturbing the peace of the surrounding neighbourhood and that doing so is a violation of this chapter.
Each violation of a house or VRBO rule will attract a charge of $180 administration fee, on top of any additional cleaning or other charges (if required)

A Great House with a decently equipped kitchen including the pantry, a comfortable facility with nice furnishings including comfortable beds. Only two very minor drawbacks were the backyard's brush, tall 3" - 5" as well as dry, with the windy conditions in the evenings we were concerned about the fire hazard and choose not to use the fire pit. And the other very minor issue was the television is a projector and not really bright enough for the living room even at night. I mention those not as a complaint but as more of a suggestion for improving an already very nice experience. Thanks very Much for Hosting Us!

Wonderful house, clean and very tastefully updated. Owners were easily accessible and responded promptly and courteously. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Proximity to Joshua Tree was unbelievable. We loved exploring the park and then coming back to unwind in the hot tub or watch a family movie on the projector. House was well maintained and the hosts were very responsive if we reached out. Thank you for sharing your house with us!
