About this cabin rental
New to VRBO!!!
Enjoy your family getaway in Naples, Maine, at the Crooked Cottage located directly on the Crooked River, uniquely positioned between Sebago Lake and Long Lake, and a bike ride from Sebago Lake State Park. With this unique positioning, you can boat to either lake for a different daily experience. Spend your days on the sandbar on Sebago! Fish, swim, and kayak to your heart's desire, right from your front door. Much more private than lakeside you'll have your own, private grounds giving you the campground feeling with a sandy beach for your family's enjoyment. Play volleyball or badminton, or simply put your tube in the water on one side of the property and float around the peninsula to the other. Your own natural lazy river! (our favorite pastime!) Enjoy your nights around the campfire, under the stars.
Visit the Naples Causeway when you're looking for some excitement. Take the Songo River Queen, rent jet skis or people watch to your heart's desire. SeaCoast Funpark is a short drive away.
Leef peep and hike in the fall, as trails are all around you. In the winter months, you're minutes from the ITS snowmobile trails, country skiing, and snowshoe trails. If downhill skiing is your thing, you've got Pleasant Mountain, Sunday River, and others a short drive away. 45 minutes in either direction will get you to Portland, Maine, or North Conway, NH.
The kitchen is fully functioning with all the appliances and utensils you need. Just bring your food and drinks! Open floor plan with a bar that seats 6, and outdoor dining includes spacious seating on the patio and fire pit. A grill is available.

This is a quiet and well kept property. Plenty of room to find a quiet space to relax by the river. A private dock to launch a kayak, swim or tube. The view was great . All amenities for outdoor activities were setup like Volleyball and badminton. Also a nice fire pit with plenty of outdoor seating. Get your own wood .
Tiki torches were set up but you have to bring your own fuel also.
We brought our own kayak.
The kitchen was equipped with all pans and utensils to cook and a great big grill with propane. Not many food items left over to fill in. Salt, pepper ketchup etc . All kinds of cups and plates . Many Towels, blankets and linens as extras and they smelled so clean ! Washer and dryer on site. I have no complaints.
The directions were a bit hard. It’s down a long common dirt road which was awesome but our GPS could not locate it . Lastly the water in the home is high in iron which was noted in the home log book. So Bring your own drinking water And don’t buy coffee pods.
They have a regular coffee pot but plenty of filters
I truly enjoyed my stay and will return
Thank you Angie

Great secluded location, as though you are camping.
- Ample towels, kitchen supplies etc.
- comfortable bedding
The lazy river is probably a 10-15 minute float, which is a good amount of time.

Angie and Clayton were very responsive before, during, and post stay. The addition upstairs is absolutely charming. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Loved the badminton court! Very peaceful retreat. Definitely would recommend.

We had the most magical time at the crooked river cottage. We dropped our boat in the Sebago Lake park boat launch and drove it down the river to the cottage and left it on the dock. It was about a 20 minute ride down the river and the kids loved it. The next day we took the boat to the sand bar at sebago and to captain jacks for lunch. The cottage was clean, sweet, and so much fun. We can’t wait to plan our next visit!

Thank you so much for offering a peaceful escape hatch to our family! While college touring in Maine, we decided to give ourselves a rest. The “Crooked Cottage” appears like an oasis as you drive through the trees down the dirt road. Once you park, you begin breathing easier and are charmed by the lake on both sides of the home. All modern amenities greet you including air conditioning, a washer and dryer and internet access. However, being here feels like a pitstop in Narnia. The 5 of us all had space, and enjoyed badminton, reading outside and the fire pit. There’s an Umbrella Shopping Center with everything you need 5 minutes down the road. I highly recommend this clean, safe and peace-giving property!

We enjoyed the country location on the Crooked River. The river was quite low and we did ot try to swim there. We loved the rustic interior and decor. It was a perfect size for our family of 4 adults.

We had a multi generational family stay at Angie's house, ranging in ages from 1-70. The set up of the house was perfect for all of us and accessible for my mother.
Everyone was comfortable and happy. The lazy river was so fun, relaxing and beautiful.
One thing to note is that the water is heavy on minerals, so we'd recommend bringing jugs of water for cooking and brushing teeth, but that was easy for us to pick up.
We will be back for sure!

We loved the home. It has a wonderful addition upstairs. Comfortably, firm beds and box fans for the rooms. Downstairs is an A/C unit that works very well. The grounds are nice with a big fire pit and plenty of seating, the river for swimming and a volleyball meet for a quick game.
We loved most everything about the rental. Our only issue was the water has a lot of iron in it. For people with skin sensitivity this can be and issue. I did contact the host and was informed there is a filter system that has had a water check that passed. But for me I still had sensitivity to it.
Again other than this the place is great!

Highly recommend this property! Great place to rent. Few houses in area have AC, so that was a great amenity as our family’s first day was quite warm, The place is clean and well kept. Loved the yard! 2 docks on Crooked River, and fishing was good as well. We plan on coming back soon!

Great quiet spot to kickback and relax. Perfect for what we were looking for. River access to the lake (about 50 min in the kayak) but the lake is a driving distance away, which is the only drawback having to load up little kids. The beds were a little firm is my only complaint. We had a blast and the kids lived in the river. Thanks for wonderful memories!

This spot was the perfect location for a quiet, kid free girls weekend. The property is absolutely beautiful and has easy access to the water for some swimming or fishing. The camp itself was cozy but also spacious enough. We had 5 adults and we had plenty of space for activities, plus we all had our own bed! All in all we had an amazing weekend and made great memories that we will never forget.
